Just got these, really a seriously great compliment to the Qtek 8500/Smartflip/StrTrk....However....
I've got 2 issues....
First, is that everything is being redirected to the bluetooth headset including the ringtone when the phone rings, so I don't hear it if I put the sunglasses down on the table. Is there a registry hack to divert the ringer back to the phone's speaker?
Second is slightly more complex...How do we kill the Cyberon Voice Tag software altogether and replace it hypothetically with Voice Command, should Microsoft ever decide to release it for smartphone??

Im wanting to get stereo audio for use in my motorbike helmet for music. At the same time have the audio from tomtom to come through the ear piece. then when a call comes in take it. so i can let folks know i need to pull over for the call.
Also i want to be able to use the voice dial to make a call, save taking off the gloves to dial.
I currently have a jabra 205 which i use in the car but only have the tomtom on the xda2i.
I have run tests, the xda2i lets me listen to music on the jabra (very poor quality) tomtom also comes through as the music is playing. when a call comes in the audio switches to the call but when the call ends the music n tomtom switch back to the xda2i and i need to press the button on the jabra.
On the mini s i cant get the audio from media player to come through the jabra.
I know what ever i get im going to have to strip out and fit into the helmet (doesnt bother me as long as it will work, i am an electronics engineer)
so what stereo head sets are there and will they do what i want
Wrong forum for this topic. Please post in "General" or "Accessories".
hmmm
Err this is the accessories bit for the wizzard/mini s isn't?? As the question is about A2DP and it working with the mini s, and if the mini has the ability to run music, tomtom and calls through Bluetooth headset.
If this does need posting in another area will you post the link to which area you want me to put it in.
Thanks

i have got the motorolla bluetooth headset (big and embarassing to wear) and it works very well with the wizard (I am using mr clean tmobile uk rom), and does everything you want, but the only problem is a cant get microsoft voice command to work reliably by pressing the button on the headset.
I am getting a strange effect using the above combo, and was wondering if anyone has any thoughts:
I am using the Philips SBH6102 which I would definitely recommend to anyone, having used others such as the Sonorix OBH-100 (plasticy, poor mic. quality), IOGear (good quality sound but poor mic, too big on the ears, neck band broke v. easily), and some black triangular ones whose name I forget but I broke trying to put them into a nicer pair of earphones
Anyway, that's all in the past. I am now using the excellent Schap's WM6 Pro 4.00 RC ROM (much praise for this excellent ROM) with MS Voice Command 1.6. When I pair the headset and apply both the wireless stereo and handsfree profiles all is good, apart from one thing...
When I press the voice dial button on the Hermes I get voice command through the headphones, and I use the built in mic to give the command. However, I can also trigger voice dialling by pressing the Back control on the headphones, but then the _phone_ speaker responds and I have to use the phone mic to speak the commands.
Obviously I would like to press the Back control on the headphones and use that to respond, as I can then leave the phone in my bag - or more importantly connected up to some power as with BT on the battery drains like there was a hole in the bottom of it, but maybe that's for another post.
P.S. the SBH6102 comes with a 3.5" dongle that auto-pairs with the headset when they are both in discover mode - this is an excellent feature when your son wants to borrow the headphones for his iPod, so I wouldn't recommend it
In other words you can't initiate VC from the headset button? Thats pretty much a problem with MS VC.. Use the updated .cab located in this post..Its the 3rd post down.

I upgraded my XV-6800 to 6.1 using the Verizon ROM and am having a very annoying issue with Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 (it works somewhat).
The issue is this:
Push button on headset to activate MSVC
***Beep*** through headset
Me: Call Home
Msvc: Call Home? (through headset)
Me: Yes
DIAL TONES THROUGH THE PHONES SPEAKER
Bluetooth headphone switches back on once connected
The only way I have found that it works normally is when I have my Plantronics 8010 main headset piece set to "Wireless Stereo" and "Hands-Free" and I have the little icon of the stereo headsets showing on the top (where the start menu is). If that icon isn't there then the phone goes back to behaving the way it was above.
I've tried this with non-stereo headsets (mono only) and it plays the damn dial tones through the speaker on the phone. The other thing is that instead of the ringtone coming through the headset on an incoming call it goes through the phones speaker- when I hit the headset button it connects the call properly.
Can this be a conflict with that garbage software called Cyberon Voice Dialer? Anyone else have this issue and was there a fix?
Thanks!
I wasn't aware this was a bug. This is how it's always operated for me and I thought it was a purposeful function of the software. Besides, I think that dialing sound would get really annoying in my ear.
EDIT: The ringtones play through my headset, though. It's just the dialing sound that doesn't. What are your Phone settings in MSVC?
Ok- just uninstalled MSVC and re-installed (for the the third time) and now the incoming calls play the headset fine but the dial tones play out of the speaker on the handset.
I'm pretty sure this is a bug as it never used to do this on the XV-6700 running MSVC 1.5.
It's honestly been that way on every version I've personally used. It doesn't seem like a bug to me. It's specifically jumping out of the Bluetooth audio bridge to play it, then back in. That seems deliberate to me. Besides, it's an effect of the phone, itself, doing the dialing. Kind of a psychological thing. Besides, I wouldn't want that annoying sound buzzing in my ear.
I am sure this may be an issue for some people. my car stereo has bluetooth that links with my phone and mutes the car stereo and turns on speaker phone when a call comes in. i like the fact that it mutes the stereo since i usually have it very loud, but my problem is i cant set it to default to the phone earpiece and not the speakerphone, even when i answer a call and press the button to keep it on the ear piece, it switches right back to the stereo a second later, i press it again and it stays on the phone. i have had this issue with all my other phones as well and it drives me nuts. is there anyone who can come up with a fix for this?
i appreciate any input anyone may have on this.....
thanks
It is not a problem with the phone, it is to do with bluetooth profiles as they are designed to communicate with TWO devices not THREE. I also use car stereo for playing my music. I do not get that many calls while driving so I never use my bt headphones.
Moved to proper forum.
sorry about posting in the wrong forum. I am only trying to get it to default to the handset when i pick up a call. i do not use it to play music, so i have no need for that to even be an option, i just want to be able to pick up a call on my phone, and have it stay on my phone while it uses the bt link to mute and un mute the stereo. i find the speakerphones in car stereos to be totally worthless for talking, but i find the mute feature very useful.
I just bought my first android phone after years with Nokia. Now my question is simple:
With Nokia I just needed to pair my bluetooth car handsfree with the phone, press the green key in the car and I could use the BT handsfree "headset" as input/output for the phone. It also used the phone vocal recognition to start a phone call just naming the contact (using the BT microphone).
With Android the BT headset connects, I can speak through it using the car microphone and speakers, but I must start the calls manually from the phone. Receiving is ok, the green button works.
I tried all kind of BT applications (Vlingo first of all). Is that possible that there is NO option to redirect the audio I/O to the headset?? No to mention that to use the phone vocal recognition I must be ONLINE? What is that?? Is it really that retarded? I don't care about all the beautiful apps. If a phone can't fully serve its purpose, which is… making phone calls? it is just apiece of junk!
Sorry for the rage, but I've found it unbelievable. Any idea/application about how to fix it? I just want to be able to make phone calls without stopping the car (or even worse, to risk to have my driving license suspended)!!
