I am quite new in the Windows Mobile platform, and I was wondering, I am having a TYTN with aku 2.3 (if I had understood correctly) and I am thinking about doing an upgrade to aku 3.2 (the newest?)
but, now to my question, I am running a swedish htc rom and I assume that the 3.2 is english? correct?
Is it possible to change to swedish?
Can I change back to my original rom? If yes, is it hard?
How do I upgrade?
Many questions I know, but if I don't ask , and I can't find a speciifik answer in the search area then I must ask
Some more questions, are there any improvements in the PocketOutlook ? For ex. does it support Imap IDLE?

No AKU 3.2 available for the Hermes yet. By now the latest is AKU 2.6 in Cingular 1.31 ROM. HTC promised an AKU 3.0 upgrade for the next TyTN rom, but it's not available yet. Also it's not possible to cook a rom with AKU 3.2 because the Hermes protections prevent flashing unsigned code.

This is the official reply from HTC:
"There are no ROM updates available for the TyTN at present, although are actively working one to address various issue customers are experiencing.
We are expecting this to coincide with the Windows Mobile 5 AKU3 update."

Cingular 1.31 rom has bootloader 1.06 which will prevent you from flashing any other ROM unless it matches your CID.

Any news on when an AKU 3.2 or 3.5 will become available as a rom upgrade for the HTC Tytn? I am waiting for a Trinity but would consider going to a Tytn if this rom is going to become available soon. Please advise.

Since when is there a AKU3.5? AKU3.2 JUST got announced! Even AKU3.0 got announced in September...

I asked this question a couple weeks back and got no replies, which to me means it's safe to assume that the answer is "We don't know."
That is up to HTC and the other carriers! The hacked AKU3.2 ROM you see out there, from what I heard, isn't even complete!

All shipped roms until now are AKU 2.3 except cignular 1.31 ROM which has AKU 2.6 (not a major improvement).

Last 3 digits in the "OS Build" column indicate the AKU.

Yes, and also my s620 is 3.01. Just try to send a contact info as SMS, you can, with TyTn you can't (without some external software).
My be Crossbow will be in the next TyTn future,could be a good gift for people acquiring high-end phone, still unusable in serious business environment!

This is the old Telestra rom date: 09/08/06 and which is available on the xda-developers ftp.
No new i-mate roms since then and it has the Telestra boot screen.
yes it's an old ROM but it doesn't have the Telstra boot screen.. well mine doesn't.

Well, I have been using this Rom for 2 days now and have to report it is my favourite so far. No hang ups, no lost GSM or UMTS - no reboot needed so far.
Blackberry works flawlessly, and the whole phone feels faster..

My replacement JASJAM, which I received two months ago, already had this version installed.
i purchased my jasjam last week of december, and since it had the arabic rom, it was outdated. So i just upgraded to this and device is more stable now.
but i think i might switch to the cingular rom next week.

New i-mate ROM?
I-mate seem to have an updated ROM avaliable and I was wondering if anyone has tried it and their thoughs on it.
Main Rom the same 1.31.305.2
Radio updated to 1.21. .... from 1.20
ExtRom updated to ... .104 from 103
I'm not a cooker - happy to stay with std ROMs (I burn water when I try to boil it).
This is the best ROM till now. Has some issues but better than the WM-6, WM-5 Qtek, etc. Need an urgent small polished upgrade from I-mate and this will be the best ROM with speed and all else perfect.

Which version of I-mate if it is Telstra I cannot use it as we do not have that network here.
I check everyday on the wiki site but I-mate does not have any new version.
Please can you tell me whether you are telling about WM-6 other versions or the official version. If so please guide me to the exact location for the newer version.

This should be AKU 2.2... I use the Qtek ROM V 2.20.7.39 GER. Source.
The tool above unlocks the extended rom of this build and allows overwriting.

TTN6 have messed up my EXT ROM.
Any luck to Unlock it and delete that crap permanently. It's giving me a lot of headache!

I have read in the forums that there are a lot of ROM's available for upgrade and as far as I got it right, the AKU 3.3.3 is the final ROM and is stable for the WM5 platform? (kindly correct me if im wrong.) I want to know what is the difference between the AKU 3.3.3 and 20060426B1WWE ROM. Hows is the upgrade process? is it the same? I just download the ROM, run the .EXE file and wait till the upgrade is finished? Would love to know your inputs. tnx!

Can anyone tell me if I can upgrade to WM6.5 (english) from WM6 (CE OS 5.2.1622 - Build 18128.0.4.4)
HTC Touch Dual (NIKI100) Radio is: 1.58.1627.
Do I have to update the radio to 1.65 ? if so,...um...how do I do that?
Which WM6.5 Rom would I then need to flash to end up with 6.5 in english on my Touch Dual?
Could someone please put me out of my misery if it's a "no"..........I think I can handle it.....
Have you even looked at the rest of the threads here? There are quite a few WM6.5 roms floating around and a lot of them are english.

Thanks for your reply..yes. I've been reading these forums for around 2-3 years now so I know the roms are out there of course, but that wasn't my question. I have seen some horror stories too of some people upgrading and having the wrong radio version installed and ending up with big problems. My Touch Dual is quite old now with an older radio version than most I see here. So, of course I can download a WM6.5 in english, but my question is firstly, can I upgrade the radio version (without my phone being rendered useless !)because it seems that most 6.5 versions require a radio of at least 1.65 , and then a suitable version of WM6.5 after that. Just need a yes or no answer really...

an official 6.5 rom for the nike is not available! the last available official htc rom for the nike is a 6.1, but i think htc dont release a official 6.5 rom .

upgrade 1st to latest version of 6.1 available from HTC ( official version that match you CID/language).
this will upgrade your radio so you don't have to upgrade radio, also you will have a original rom that your original spl will accept if you mess up ( forget to HardSPL ).
run SoftSPL and flash HardSPL 1.22
flash a WM6.5 rom
you could brick your phone but i think the dangerous part is flashing HardSPL.
while original SPL is there u can flash original rom (WM6.1) and after anything by starting into bootloader tricolor screen (Pwr+Camera after reset).
