That is an "old known" problem of the SE-ROM. Until now there is no fix for it....
Stefan
thanks a lot Stefan, I can live with that

Ok, in 2003 the volume sliders for phone and PDA are seperate. Only problem I have is that a program I use to mute and unmute automatically only unmutes the PDA slider (which leaves me unable to hear my phone ringing). Does anyone know a way to tell Windows Mobile 2003 to lock the volume sliders together, or a program to reset volume levels automatically that supports 2003?
Thanks
check this
and see:

the current version does it what you requested.
the next version will do even more with volume levels.
Can this software...
Can My Phone Profiles simply sync the two sliders? I don't want to use its other features, just have the two sliders synced up.
Thanks.
Hi,
i have the following problem: i'd like to switch on the speaker for phone calls. but: i can't push'n'hold the green phone button to do this (i'm disabled). so i'm wondering if there's another way to do it. actually i'm controlling my xda2 via Pocket Controller-Professional with my pc, wich i'm using with dragon dictate (speech recognition).
afaik is Pocket Controller-Professional not able to "push" the 4 function-buttons, is it?
i can do a bit of proggin', so an api might help...
gtx 'n' thx 4 ur help

id also like software like this too for when driving when i get a phone call it would be great to put onto loudspeaker even if its like i have to press the green button to answer the call then press calendar or conacts button to enable it instead of holding the green button in.
I have an SPV M2000.
When I am not using it I suspend it by pressing the power button briefly.
I have it configured to use button lock so that everything is disabled except the power button when in this mode.
However, quite often when I get it out of my pocket the damn thing has switched itself on again.
Any idea why or how it is doing this.
I have a Southwing bluetooth headset which is paired with the SPV.
The build in lock just aint good enoughf.
You must get a 3 party locking program.
I Use NiceStart http://www.trancreative.com/nicestart.aspx
It just locks for alarms also, meaning that you wont get notified befor you turn the device on.
It will light up as it does now, but only with the login screen promting for the password, so no data loss due to unmanaged screen presses.
thanks. i will give that a look
Phone: 8525
ROM: WM6
Problem history: Started 2 months after upgrade from WM5
Backed-up using SPB and did a hard reset and problem continues. (Perhaps I backed up and reinstalled the problem as I didn't check for ring before restoring.. doh!)
OK, I know what you are thinking and yes I have settings set for Vibrate AND Ring under sounds and whne I click play for the test sound it rings and vibrates, but when a call comes in it vibrates and a very low hiss comes from the speaker intermittently.
When set to ring only I get only the intermittent hiss.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Had the same problem several times. Has something to do with a registry setting. I think it was a3pw0 and Setacousticparam. Which ROM do you use?
Try flashing updated WM6 ROM.
Double check the volume in the speaker icon at the top of the home screen. I was so used to using the HTC homescreen i fogot and had the same problem after i altered it. Just double check the right hand slider.
I know its obvious so sorry if you tried it
Good luck fella
Low Volume stetting
Hello
Had the same Problem several times and the solution was always the volume slider which was down. I think the HTC Home makes this sometimes automatically when you have a date in your organizer. But I don't have the automatic Profile setting. I don't know how to solve this instead of setting the volume up again.
Greetings Pudl
no ringtone
l have the same problem change radio
I had the same think happen on my wifes Prophet, ended up being hardware problems.
Hi. Does anybody have an idea how to switch off the display manually through pressing some keys or menu icons? I found only the timed automatic possibility in the battery settings, but I need the manual function too. On each of my previous phones (TyTN II, i780) it was always possible. Thanks for your help.
Use mortscript to turn-off display and then assign the script to a hardware button.

Hmm, a little bit to complicated, but thanks for the tip
So your not talking about putting it to sleep by touching the power button? I think all my wm devices have this feature, killing the screen instantly.
I'm not sure about the request - anyway isn't it what Rose does when you press and hold End Call button?

If you touch the power button on the Rose, a menu apears, wher you can choose: if you want to switch the whole phone off, lock the keys, call the task manager or the comm manager. There is unfortunatelly no option to switch only the display off

Pressing and holding the End Call button locks the keys, it doesnt switch the display off
...simply very easy, I am looking for something like psshutxp but for smartphones (WM 6.1 standard). You can everywhere find only the pocket PC version for WM professional, which you can not unfortunatelly install on a smartphone.
Yeah, I was thinking of the pro devices. They seem to get all the love anyway. There seems to not be a built in solution then. Setting the screen timeout real short would be only option and thats not a good option at all. If I come across anything I'll repost. I've just been using the red end key. But I'm so hooked on my touch pro right now I've forgotten the rose for awhile.
