Should I reload the ROM again? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Software Upgradin

Today I was trimming out the windows dir. without knowing what files are needed and what are not, anyways to make a long story short my explore is not working and I though installing Netfront would restore my explore back to normal but it didnt, is there a way to extact some files from the ROM without reloading the whole OS again?

You should just do a hard reset

pof I deleted everything in my extended rom dir. do I need to put them back before I do a hard reset? one more thing is there a easier way to do a hard reset, I can seem to get my timming right and it only does a soft reset.

Total backup of vx6800

Is there any way to do a total backup of my phone settings so as to dump them back in after a hard reset. I want some of the stuff gone with the hard reset but not all of it. I have done some registry tweaks and the aGPS fix that I would not want to have to hunt down the threads for everything I want to redo.

I use SPB Back up. It lets you select what exactly you want to back up and creates an executable file so if you dont have the app installed on a hard reset you can just run the back app it creates and be good to go.
Also, if you are looking for that level of customization have you considered going with a custom ROM or a kitchen?

I am still very new to this and trying to learn as fast as I can . I haven't gotten to the point of creating and flashing a rom/radio. I bought the phone and had someone else do an upgrade to a custom rom/radio. Since I have been using it there are things I have changed along the past few months that it would take me forever to find the threads with the step by step instructions to redo them. I just haven't found anything that told me it would do a backup of my entire phone registry tweaks and all. I know I have done some MMS fixes , the aGPS , 2 or 3 registry tweaks , fixed the video and installed several programs . I just hated the thought of having to start all over again anyways thanks for the help.

[Q] The "after" of an hard reset

After an compulsary hard reset, how can I recover the 60+ apps. laying in my memory card and bringing them to the normal use in Programs??
Last time I had an hard reset I went to the WEB and downloaded again one by one.
I'm sure there will be an easier way, as they are all "smiling" to me at the card and calling me stupid!!!
Help, please.

use AppBrain for Android...
Use shortcutcreator http://www.bolognini.it/swpc/index.aspx won't work for all your apps
Best way to do it:
Get SKTools and SPB-Backup
BEFORE hard reset: do a thorough cleaning of temp files (SK-Tools Autoclean) and then a registry optimization (SK-Tools)m then backup Your device with SPB Tools (full backup)
THEN hard reset and restore with SPB-Backup.
Many thanks to all of you for prompt help, but (why there is always an but?):
-Spyderman33 : AppBrain is only for Android and my HD2 have WM 6.5
-Westwood01 : only transfered 3 apps. and after blocked
-Troed : Your receipt is for programmed hard reset-Before... etc, etc.
Anyway, tks again and I'm going to redownload all the apps.
if they are installed to your sd card then you just need to make a shortcut to the actual program (.exe) theres no need to reinstall.
won't work for all but will work for most.....

[Q] back-up

Hey guys,
I want to format my phone, it's kinda full and going very slow. Here comes the question: Is it a good way to back up my android phone by connecting it to my laptop and copy all the files and maps in to my D:\ drive. I don't mind if it doesn't my text messages and contacts.
I am using a rooted Samsung Galaxy S plus (i9001).
thanks in advance
Why dont you just delete some of the stuff on your sd? I'd do a nandroid just in case, first try wiping cache to check speed. Also, do you have lots of apps running? That'll slow it down. Finally, i'd recommend a FACTORY RESET, if youre looking to start over, and a format if and only if you're prepared for a phone that does not boot.

I just have too many apps and other stuff, so it takes waayy to long to delete all those stuff. That's why i also wanted to know if it is good way to back up my files by copying it to my laptop.
Need asnwer please
Well yes you could back up like your sd card to laptop. In fact you could backup everything, and that might be fine. But if you are rooted, you could choose titanium backup, or also something like adb backup. I would choose adb backup, since learning to use it would help you if something goes wrong, such as being able to push new software back to your device. But the adb backup will not let you browse through it, accesssing individual files and folders.

Fix a TMAX/APEX TM9S775 replace factory files

I have this TM9S775 tablet. In fact I have two. I figured out how to root it and I think I have access to its base files. It seems that its factory files might be corrupted (before I started tinkering). It starts crashing, apps stop working. Factory reset seems to have issues. Can I copy factory files from one to the other and then reinstall? Which files in which folders? Its a 4.1.1
thanks
lost cause
Well, now the factory reset appears to no longer functioning and at boot up it gets stuck in the startup screen, so I think it is a brick unless I can replace the files from the SD card.

How to root Xperia Z5 Premium (Android 7) without factory reset?

Hi all,
to make it short i deleted a ton of pictures by accident, for what i've seen, the apps that really work on recovering files and windows softs like fonepaw or dr.fone require root access, but i've read that in the rooting process you have to perform a factory reset wich will wipe out everything on your phone, so whats the point on rooting a device to recover files if you have to erase everything in middle? Is there a way to perform a "simple" root without any deletion?, i don't want to change anything in my phone, no flash, no roms, no unlock bootloader, etc, etc, i just want to recover the files and i'll inmediatle unroot to take everything back to normal.
Thank you all in advance!
