I got a few questions, i got a O2 xda pocket PC
Rom Version: 3.12.07 ENG
Rom Date: 08/13/02
Radui Version: 4.06
Protocol Version: 32S54
I want to update my pocket pc.
so i went to http://www.my-xda.com/xdaSoftwareDownload.html .
But none of these links where working.
I don't know where to download these updates, i tried the wiki, but i don't know wich to download.
Any suggetions?
And i how do i remove the simlock ? i tried XDAunlock, but i get error : error getting unlock code.
I think this is because XDAunlock does not work for my rom version.
Any suggetions to fix that ?

i've tried the the version of the unlock tool which obviosly doesnt work, however the links are dead for the old version. anyone have a copy of the program they could email me? or even point me to the direction of a working link for the program,

I found a topic where i can download it but it says i have a different rom version.
Rom version: 1.72.00WWE
Rom date: 03/15/04
Radio version: 1.14.00
Protocol version: 1337.24
ExtRom version: 1.72.730
Can someone tell me which update i need to download?
Or must is upgrade first to newer rom version and then to SE version?
I'm not zo good on this side, so please don't close this topic..

try it with the attached exe. Unpack your update package with winzip/winrar and replace the inside exe with the one attached. I think it should work.

I found the solution, indeed I wasn't logged in. However, this solution gives the same country error!I still hope to find a clean solution for an uppgrade, not a solution where you have to be a computer expert to make an upgrade. Thanks anyway

Yeah i am getting the same problem I have two xda's (yes greedy i know) One went ok the other comes up with the same any ideas anybody?

Well tried adaptrom but all it does is flash on the screen for an instant then nothing any further ideas? have turned off all anti virus and firewalls still no luck I must be doing something wrong! any other ideas guys.
I just upgraded using AdaptROM.exe
The text I read said to run it from the upgrade directory, where the ENGLISH folder is. It is looking for the ENGLISH folder, and will open it to look for the image file.
I had the same type of error, except mine was:
currently: PW10A1
upgrade: PW10B1
It fixed this, and after the upgrade, my machine shows PW10B1.
Here is the text description I picked up when I downloaded the file....

I have also been having the same issue as tucson where I do not know what Update to use? :shock:
I am running an XDA II with the following ROM:

ROM Date: 02/20/04
Radio Version: 1.08.00
Protocol Version: 1337.18
ExtROM Version: 1.66.165
I live in Australia so need a ROM that will work with the Australian Phone network
Do you have any idea what ROM I should be using? Or what the most stable ROM in that list would be for me to use? There is just so much I don't know what one to use... Also looking for a very simple install..
Any recomendations any one?

Also as you can see from my post I am a little worried about doing this upgrade as there seems to be many many many many many steps to follow.
I remember upgrading with the official O2 ROM before it was 1 EXE file I ran and it did it all for me.. Does any one know if there is a file like this to upgrade to 2003SE for the XDAII in Australia?
Just that I use my phone every day and if I stuff any thing up I'll have no clue how to fix it and I'll be without my baby for a few days I recon till I get time to try and fix it?

I think the version I just downloaded might be automated as when i ran it I get the same update screen I did when using the official O2 upgrades
Can any one confirm this for me at all If I proceed is there any work that needs to be done after the upgrade? as far as I can see the update program does it all?
