Why do you want to upgrade to 2.69.21 ?! because 69 is a larger number than 07 ? well if you don't have any problem with phone or wifi , don't touch your radio rom , but if you have problems and you really want to upgrade your radio rom at least upgrade to 2.20.21. because it's the newest official "prophet" radio rom available. others like 2.69 has been extracted from Wizard Roms.
Anyway to answer your question , yes you can upgrade your rom in wm6. don't forget to hard reset after you upgrade your radio rom.
if you still want to upgrade to 2.69 just let you know that in Canada with Fido or Rogers your phone wont work with Radio Rom 2.69.21 ! (Only when you have WM6)

You should upgrade immediately to a 2.xx.21 radio rom. A 2.xx.20 radio rom is from the Wizards. Change it immediately!!!
Hi, I upgrade my Prophet to 2.69.21. In Spain no problem with this ROM
I have several problems that i think it can be resolved by upgrade the radio rom.. My network is always on minimal , the calls frequently fall..
By the way if there is a newer version of rom or radio rom is because the old one as a problem .. thats the reason i want to upgrade..
By the way , is downgrade is also possible if i get any trouble like the ones described on others posts ????

Yes you can up- and downgrade your radioROM just as you like. Just try an other one until you've solved your problem.
NB The radioROM RUU's don't sem to work under Vista.

8525 ROM upgrade question

Can I use the Official WM6 HTC TyTN ROM
or
the WM6 5.2.1238 Black Edition 3.0.1 ROM?
which is better?
can i use 8525 in video calling?
I already used the HTC Hermes SIM & CID Unlock.
I am using WM6 3.62.502.3 AT&T ROM
using the unit in the philippines, video calling is enabled here.
for the most part.......cooked rom is better than a shipped rom.
is it ok to upgrade to WM6 5.2.1238 Black Edition 3.0.1 ROM?
no problems/issues?
yes no problems, although there are much newer cooked roms available now, check the wiki or the wm6 subforum
sir, what is the latest ROM i can use for my 8525?
will it enable the video calling?
tnx
It doesn't matter how late the ROM is. There is no ROM gonna help you with video calling on 8525 because there is no front camera which made for that function. Shell out more money to get HTC TyTN if you really need video calling works.

>EXTREMELY SORRY IF SIMILAR THREAD EXISTS I SEARCHED ALOT N MAY HAVE FAILED TO FIND IT<
Check the post of the ROM you want. There must be a list of compatible Radios. Usually x.xx.50.xx radios work with all ROMS, but I suggest you check it in the ROM thread.

[Q] back up stock rom from HTC HD2

i have been search on here and on some other sites for some long time to find a way to back up my stock rom installed on my HTC HD2 ..... but everybody is talking about cooking rom and backing up contacts or so .....
is there any way to back up my stock rom from my HTC HD2 before doing anything to my phone??
i just wanna keep a back up of the original rom before doing anything .... can anybody help me?
just download it, a million times easier.
look here [REF]Leo Official ROMs
i downloaded this ver from HTC site but this is very old ver ....... i got 1.66.... i checked the difference between the ver i have now and this one on HTC site 1.48 there is too many fixes and updates in the ver i got not in the 1.48 .... so im looking for some way to backup the rom i have now so i keep the latest official rom

in your device check the software version and the radio version
and give it to me... i'll give you the link from where to download the same rom
rom version 1.66.415.4 (76641) WWE
radio version 2.07.51.22_2
there .....
its really strange that i cant find any of the great developers and programes on this site to help me in my problem
as it was stated in another threaduntil noe ther is no way to "extract" or "backup" an entire rom .
I perfectly see what you mean, its a problem for me too: i modded my 1.66 stock rom so heavily that it would take days to reconstruct my perfect running hd2 in case an update to new 3version stock or flash of cooked rom fails at all and/or dissatisfies me.
then i want to go back to the previous perfect state by just flashing my cutomized stock rom without any additional hazzle
Sashimi won't do this, no other app won't do this..........
Even Spb backup won't do this as I had to learn the hard way since reflashing seems to be not the same as just upgrading a rom .........
some things happen in the rom that we still do not fully understand ......
I have the same concern as winner1. I want try out some custome roms, but before that it would be nice to have some sort of backup of my stock rom.
troed mentioned there is no to "extract" or "backup" an entire rom. So there is the option of downloading a stock rom.
As a matter of fact I am a total noob and I have no idea on what i must to pay attention to. Could someone help me to find a download of my stock rom, please?
Despite there is no hardware-branding, I don't know if my rom is software-branded. It would be nice to have a branded rom if there was one.
I bought my HTC HD2 from the service provider Three in Austria in August this 2010.
Here are some additional information about my phone:
OS-Version: 5.2.21869 (21869.5.0.82) / WM 6.5 Pro
Manila-Version: 2.5.19211619.0
ROM-Version: 1.66.407.1 (76641) GER
ROM-Date: 01/11/10
Radio-Version: 2.07.51.22_2
Protocoll-Version: 15.32.50.07U
Thank you for your effort and time.

The fact that your rom version is 1.66 tells us that although the phone is on 3, the rom isn't rom locked, so you use default HTC roms, not branded roms. (Which would have a 1.7x version)
Unless i am mistaken, this means you need the 1.66 HTC GER stock rom, which (amazingly) can be found on teh HTC germany website under support, pick your phone, downloads, rom updates., or, as per post two of this thread, the official roms thread, first post, first link, 1.66 folder, and teh one you want is called
RUU_Leo_HTC_GER_1.66.407.1_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.0 7U_2.06.51.07_Ship.exe
If you download it from teh htc website, you can confirm its the correct one by using your serial number, because it wont let you download it if its not correct.
