I sound a bit like I work for Virgin (I don't honest).
but a:
1. DAB radio
2. Some TV stations (for 3 months on PAYG, but BBC1 will continue)
3. A WM5 smartphone (with bluetooth, EDGE and quad-band)
4. MP3 player
etc. for just over 100 quid. seems a nice toy to me!
If you go here
http://www.virginmobile.com/vm/lifestyleLanding.do
and make a note of the code, although its been 14000 every time Ive been there, you get 20% off!!
Plus if you go to the site through quidco you get 10% back as well!
I'm sorely tempted by this, despite the reviews, if only yuo could get it unlocked and still get the tv I'd buy it!
damn, bugger. You are right. Comes down to £90 inc. packing. Well I could send back and re-order. Or I may not bother ... too much hassle.
BBC1 is free continously. But I am looking at this as more of a WM5 smartphone to run games on and muck around with and as a pocket DAB player. It gets good reviews for the DAB radio, and good ones are around £99.
The main down side with this phone are:
1. Squijy keyboard
2. No wifi
Otherwise its got quite good reviews:

I'm quite tempted by this phone myself, but could you answer a quick question for me, please?
Once the phone is unlocked (as your other post) and another sim is inserted, would I still be able to receive the TV? I've read elsewhere that Virgin charge a fiver a month for the TV, which implies to me that it will only work with a Virgin sim in the phone
I've got 6 months of a tmobile deal to go, after which I am looking to get one of the ntl/Virgin sims with 300mins + 300 texts for a tenner a month.

1. I have succeeded in app. unlocking, but not sim unlocking. So still to come.
2. You can sim unlock from a commercial service. Do a google.
3. If it is sim unlocked, you can insert a sim from another provider and use the phone fine. The TV will also work. However at least every month, virgin change the crypt key on the TV channels. So from time to time your TV will go off and you will need to reinsert the Virgin SIM to get the new crypt key.
4. The DAB will work regardless
rgds
Thanks for the info, Colonel!
I've just posted on another forum to find out if the ntl offer will class as a monthly contract to get the tv for free. I'll post back when I get an answer
this phone can be unlocked either for free from virgin by ordering the code( you must have used at least 30 quid since you have had your phone tho) or you can get it unlocked instantly from imei-check but they take payment thru paypal, and as most of us know paypal are as reliable as an english cricket team in australia so i stay welll clear
but the virgin option is pretty cool, although wouldnt know wat to do with the 30 quid once topped up as virgin services are pretty useless
Lobster price

Lobster 700TV (HTC monet)
I've got one. I bought it for the DAB radio which is excellent.
The main draw back I've got is the Bluetooth A2DP issue. It don't work from the box, although the manual says it does! I've got back to Virgin who are presently investigating (first response was "it don't do A2DP" but they had to rethink coz it's in the manual).
I'm looking at the Tornado A2DP hack. Tried it without 'apps unlock' and got insufficent permissions.
So next step is to unloack and try again......but will wait until virgin get back to me.
Happy with the rest of the features. But I'm not a heavy phone user. The other niggle I could mention is the keypad ...... keys a bit small and have to take care. But it is usable just. I'm not abig texter and could imagine that texting could be a pain.
If I'm sending messages I use my PDA with the Lobster as a bluetooth modem. This works well.
Overall very satisfied. But got to sort the A2DP issue.
Lobster now FREE with 12 months FREE Tariff
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just seen that the Lobster tv phone is now appearing FREE with 12 months free tariff on virgin.

Greetings all,
I'm having the following issue with a Qtek 1020 I just purchased from Microdirect, sold as SIM unlocked. The phone just doesn't find the network when I turn it on with my Pay As You Go T-mobile SIM. No error message pops up, nothing asks me for an unlock code etc, I just get the message 'No Service' under Connectivity when I select the aerial icon at the top of the screen. When I go to Phone Settings I can see listed under 'other networks' O2 and Vodafone, but no T-mobile. I've tried changing GSM bands in the bootloader and listing networks but to no avail (I switched through 900, 1900 and 900/1800). I have also tried the unlocking tools around this site with no success. I know the SIM works as it asks for my PIN when I switch on and I can also browse through contacts stored on it. I'm wondering if anyone here has any ideas as I'm all out.
Information about my Qtek:
Qtek 1020
ROM version: 4.02.04 ENG
ROM date: 8/24/05
Radio version: A.33.02
Protocol version: 1.3.3
Model No: PW10B1
Please don't let me pull any more hair out :x
Thanks and warm regards,
Neil.

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know you're not alone! I too bought the 1020 from Microdirect and have the same problem. I've tried my t-mobile pay as you go SIM in an i-mate pda2k and it worked straight away. That made me think the 1020 was restricted to o2/vodafone. If its an unlocked PDA why do Microdirect say it won't work with Orange? Where I work we successfully unlocked an XDA and used an Orange SIM, but that was a couple of years ago.
I've e-mailed qtek but have had no response yet.
I've tried the xda developers ROM and while it is cool I still get the problem with the t-mobile SIM, although it says No Signal as opposed to No Service. I was going to try the GSM modes on the bootloader but notice you've tried that already so I won't bother.
If I get any further I'll post back asap.
Mark
Thanks for your reply Mark and now I can rest knowing I'm not the only one having trouble! I too tried the developer's ROM with no luck, although it was nice to play with the extra applications. Funny how Microdirect stated that it was compatable with T-Mobile, when it seems that it is not. I tried my sister's T-Mobile contract SIM and it doesn't work either, but my mum's Vodafone SIM works fine as well as my dad's Pay As You Go Vodafone SIM. It seems like this device is locked out of T-Mobile.
Regards,
Neil.
News from Microdirect
Microdirect have backtracked on the unlocked claim.
See link below for their comments.
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=11864&GroupID=1162
Oh well!
Yep I saw that. I decided to keep the PDA because it was such a good deal and I'm trying to go for a cheap contract with Vodafone. Check out http://www.mobilephonesdirect.co.uk/phonenetwork-84-1-Nokia_1100_on_Vodafone.html - £8 per month for the first 6 months then £16 afterwards. You get 1000 off-peak minutes per month to landlines and other Vodafone users as well as 250 TXTs plus £110 cash back after 6 months!! Sounds like a bargain to me, let's hope I pass the credit check!
Neil.
I was about to ask the very same question myself. I'm somewhat annoyed that Microdirect never even bothered to apologise or correct the mistake directly when I presented this problem to them last week - their response was to simply "return the item". For a Pocket PC PDA though, it's nice and cheap so like others, I'll keep mine and buy the cheapest possible Vodafone PAYG system that I can.
Well my Vodafone contract was approved and I immediately put the SIM into my Qtek 1020 whilst leaving the bundled Nokia phone unopened. All is well, I set up GPRS etc and my handy new PDA just got handier. Now I can sell this Nokia 1101 phone as it's SIM unlocked... might get 20 quid for it or something!
Regards,
Neil.
Okay well here's another damn issue with this thing... After a couple of weeks happy usage, the SD card slot decides to spit out anything I put into it - it just won't hold a card no matter what. I didn't force the mechanism at all or insert a card too forcefully - it just popped out one day and wouldn't go back in. I've written to Microdirect requesting an RMA, they replied thinking I was requesting an RMA for an SD card so I had to correct them and let them know it's actually the card slot in the 1020 that seems to have developed a fault of some kind. Just wondering if anyone else has ever had an issue with the card slot on their wallaby, so maybe we can say they are notoriously weak or something, or perhaps I was just unlucky.
Regards,
Neil.
Update: My replacement 1020 arrived today and all is well, well done to MicroDirect.
Rgds,
Neil.
this the price of this phone in uk orange stores, for a pay as you go device. then unlocking it cost around 10 pound at unlockallcellulars.for this price you ve got the snapdragon cpu, a very nice lcd display(colors are better than the ones in htc hd2) and the usb host function. Come one guys!
btw, even if this phone cant phone proprely, a fix should come, and it is still a good gps , and media player.
That's if you can find one instore as they sold out of these phones on the Orange website 2 Weeks ago.
Stock instores has been running low aswell, there were only 3 left when I got mine from the orange shop in torquay. Just offering it on contract now afaik
so, the price in UK is 150 pounds (that means arround 180 euros)? i have a friend over there, maybe i can buy another one for my cousin.
i wanted to get one too, but im reading about those flashing rom issues, sounds diffcult, anyone know is there any stock near manchester? the price is really unbeatable 150 pounds thats like 1/3 of some other competitors headset

got one
i got one yesterday in solihull birmingham they had 2 left instore i guess i was lucky when i say the price i asked not questions i just scooped up one a 1ghz cpu £150 you gotta be crazy if you dont get one.
These were available in Leamington Orange shop last week. I got one from Orange website a few weeks ago, but went into the shop to get one for my girlfriend. Thye are not perfect but still good value considering their usefullness for email, skype, messenger & media player. The main drawbacks I have are:
It's crap as phone: difficult to hear, screen locks annoyingly when you want to use touchpad, when the phone is locked and you get a call, it is impossible to answer. You have to wait till it rings out, unlock the phone then ring them back.
The motion sensor is not v responsive. I dont mind waiting half a second when switching from portrait to landscape, but sometimes it just refuses to switch.
No rdp client. I owuld like this for work, there was one on my PPC2003 devce all those yrs ago. I downloaded the finster rdp client and it doesn't work for me (yes I have installed it to the device rather than the memory card).
You can't get the Micro SD card out without removing the battery (and thereby switching it off)

Is my phone alive????
I went to my bed today and i had £2.50 of credit on my phone, i woke up and i had a message from orange saying that i only had 90p of credit, please top up I am wondering what my phone was doing when i was asleep, i live by myself so i cant blame anyone else, whats going on. This is the umpteen time this has happened.
The only thing i can think of is that it is doing updates without permission, during peak times, if this is the case what can i do to stop this? Any help would be appreciated.

Call your provider and chek if you don't hav any inscription in some service.
It's easy to pud some one in some service without if he know.
In internet is just enter in one site for ex: music then pud in iscription the phone number of someone you hate and that is't.
Now hi has a some service without he know and they pick money every day. Somethink like 10p,20p or 30p every /f/ day.
All my credit was actually gone, so since i have had the phone, start of january, i have seen £4, £1.50 and £2.50 disappear from my original £10 credit. Basically i only use my phone for text messaging and using hotmail. I havent even looked at anything like music, radio etc, never mind subscribing to anything.
On the same day i lost the £2.50 i did instal the gchris 1.2.1 cab, excellent app but could the weather update have cost me the money? Or does the phone actually do updates whenever it wants, ie at peak times without asking
I did a bit of searching and installed nodata.cab and switched of orange intranet but kept orange sms/mms on.
Sorry if i am coming accross as a moaning twat here but this was my last phone, a samsung c300, if it said i had £5 of credit, i could go to sleep and wake up and still have £5 of credit.
Disable the `Orange Internet`, go to Settings > Connections > Connections > Advanced tap > Select Networks > Network Management page > use `My Work Network ` on both selections, you should be okay now.
It`s the weather update that cost you so much money.
Don`t use `Orange Internet` or you have to pay for it, use `Active Sync` to update your weather on PC instead.
If you want to use Orange Internet make sure you configure the program to use `Free connection` to update your programs.

The orange store in stevenage has a few of these left, and yesterday they had reduced the phone to £129 PAYG so an even bigger bargain.
Bargain!
I was lucky enough to get the last one of these in stock in Grimsby yesterday for 129.99+10.00 top-up. At least I assume it was the last one, they removed all the 'POS (point of sale)' as I left.
It is better than (most) of the reviews had led me to believe, a bit clunky in places, but at that price a bargain for sure.

Hi Guys,
Has anyone got a Dual Sim adapter working for their Samsung Galaxy-S?
I'm interested in getting one but i don't want to spend a fortune and i need it to still let me use all the functions of the phone like 3G etc.
Thanks in advance!

Simore Sucks
<RANT><VENT>
Bought the Platinum Plus. Had to look online to see how to cut the SIM cards properly. That is the most unnerving step. Checked to make sure both cuts SIMs worked by themselves by placing them in the included plastic jigs and they DID work. Then placed them on the INCREDIBLY FRAGILE dual SIM holder, installed it in the phone and it NEVER worked properly. Supposedly some software (SIM Toolkit) becomes active - didn't for like 4 days. THEN, out of the blue, I see T-Mobile SIM-1 in the Notification area. So now it's working? Able to launch SIM Toolkit and select to change to SIM#2 but phone never resets or reboots or whatever it supposed to do. Just sits there. If I manually reboot THEN SIM#2 shows up and works. Then, again - out of the blue, I start getting popup messages that "You've removed the SIM" or something like that. Attempt to contact Simore for tech support and they suck. You have to create an account on their website, find their support form, fill out the fields and submit. Then wait. Then you get back an automated eMail from an address that they do not monitor, telling you to log back into your account and find their answer, which is not easy to do.
"[email protected]
You have received an answer from Simore.
Connect to your account to read it.
Support Simore"
When you do, they simply go through all the standard fixes: reset SIM, restart phone blah blah. I am sure that they being Swiss and me being not Swiss that there is a language barrier but the fact that they make you jump through hoops and essentially ignore your messages and only send out cut-and-paste responses through their POS website makes they too hard to deal with for me.
Nice idea. Poor execution. EXTREMELY FRAGILE Piece of hardware. Crap customer service.
I've had more expensive lessons than that but if you want to take a $80 chance be my guest.
</VENT></RANT?
Thanks for that info, yea I've read loads of bad things about simore! Plus they're so expensive!
After doing a bit of research I've ordered a 26th gen magicsim cutting for just £14.99 off a guy on ebay. He seemed super helpful and answered questions like lightning (and also sent me some great instructions showing how to cut my sim) so fingers crossed!!
I'll post my results on here!
Wish me luck!
Sx
What is the advantage of this?
If you carry around 2 phones (like me) of have 2 sims (if you travel a lot or have a work sim in the daytime) then you can have both in your phone and switch between them without having to turn off your mobile.
Sx
I've had it running smoothly in my Samsung Galaxy-S for several days now!
Really, really pleased.
If anyone wants details on where i got it from just PM me. I did a fair bit of research to find the cheapest place!

how?
How does a dual sim work ?
I bought a Magic SIM 3G 26th generation. I haven't been able to make it work in my SGS.
When I try to call I get a "Data network not available" message. I have tried to deactivate 3g connection but calls doesn't work. The mobile is not receiving calls either. However, the SIM Toolkit program is in the SGS menu.
The dual sim is perfectly working in a Nokia 3220 classic. I read this dual sim adapter is compatible with SGS but it seems to me that I'm having a compatibility problem.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi !
I just bought an Optimus Chic from Bell in Canada for $250 Canuck. Anyone know how to unlock this thing for free or cheap ? (Yes, I've read all over and find only commercial unlockers who I'm not sure if I can trust.)
It's my first cellphone ever, despite that I've been an embedded Linux developer for the last 14 years, and built and programmed computers with the first generation microprocessors in the mid 1970's. Big LOL ! And yes, the touch interface is much better than a 110 baud ASR-33 teletype...
But it's not just a cellphone of course; all the features at this price point can make it compelling enough that even someone as thrifty/cheap as myself buy one. I hope to own and use the Chic for at least 5 years, but who knows.
I got the Chic, instead of the Optimus One from Telus because I DO hope to use this for many years, and the 5 megapixel cam resolution and higher video frame rate will IMO make it more usable over the years.
The DLNA feature also piqued my interest. I think this will allow more interesting connection capabilities to my TV XBMC computer. Just tried a DLNA browser on Ubuntu but haven't tried a connection yet.
My purchase decision of Chic over One was made despite that the One is a bit older and much more popular, at least so far. There seems to be virtually no development here on the Chic so far, not as compared to the One. Hopefully that will change. The hardware is almost identical so I can't imagine much would need changing.
Only real problem I've noted with the Chic so far is using the FM Radio now causes some strange problems requiring battery removal. Originally this didn't happen; perhaps something to do with station it's now stuck on. So I'm running an Internet Radio app now.
Perhaps some rearrangement of Optimus forums is in order due to all the variants out now or expected soon.
Looking forward to sharing further Chic info, as well as generic Optimus info. I'm considering becoming an Android developer...
Could you please test the touchscreen ? Do you experience something like this ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLEgJWIs3qA&feature=player_embedded
If you don't experience the same thing and the touchscreen is the same, maybe we'll need some parts of your kernel.
Congratulations for your first phone !
Hi badeaioan.
What app is that ? And can you describe what exactly the issue is ?
BTW, the video is upside down.
Cheers!
I think for the unlock, you need a code for that, which the carrier provides. I do not know whether those unlockers you found has the code or not. I haven't tried unlocking phones yet since I buy mine already open
Regarding the video, he's using a touchscreen tester app, but I don't know the exact name. He's trying to show you the bugs with the Optimus One's touchscreen (not responding at times, etc)
Anyway, can you try to reproduce the problems shown in the video if you have spare time? We would like to see if the O1's brother has the issue fixed, so maybe we could do something about our phones. Thanks in advance
Here's a 20 second video I made that shows the axis inverting:

LOL, haven't even tried multi-touch on my new phone until a few minutes ago; read about it years ago (on iPhone?) though.
I tried a few touch testing apps, and I'm afraid it seems to have the problem you speak of. With two fingers moving two balls, sometimes the X co-ordinate gets swapped on the balls, but not the Y co-ordinate. Weird !
This problem isn't related to the problem for which there's a new kernel to fix in the last few days, is it ? : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=929941
Or that's just a 100% CPU usage bug ?
Nope. That kernel fixes only the 100% CPU usage bug. I'm contented with that, really. I just wanted to know if there was something we could do about those issues
Btw, thanks for testing it out
Optimus Chic Service Manual:
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata...2_LGDP_dll.zip
I've successfully unlocked my Chic for about $17 Canadian at http://www.fonesunlock.co.uk/ . They seem to have the best Internet reviews and I got my code within 24 hours, although sending a "hurry up please" email may have helped.
Prior to spending the $17 I spent much of a day trying to find some free way online to unlock, not so much for the $ savings, but more for the experience of learning more about this phone and unlocking etc.
I believe I've found that there is indeed some way a program on a PC connected via USB can unlock this phone. But AFAICT, this software is only sold with $200 or so of hardware, and that this is bought by commercial phone unlockers.
I've also found there is software for some phones that can determine an unlock code through breaking the code encryption, and at least one such package requires a modern video card for it's calculations. I guess the code would run for many hours at least to crack the code.
Once I got the APN setup for Wind/Rogers I am able to use this phone with a Wind SIM. 2g only, but that's all I get on the Wind phone since this is with a Rogers cell site near my home; presumably some Wind sites would give me 3g.
My original plan was to go with 7/11 Speakout (Rogers) for as little as $25 per year prepaid. And $10 a month for mobile browsing would make the bill $120 per year. But there are no 7/11s near Ottawa and equivalent Quickie store good2go wasn't as potentially cheap as $25 per year.
But I came to the conclusion that Bell/Telus network would cover me better in rural areas where I might and do drive.
So I figured Presidents Choice Mobile (on Bell/Telus network) for $100 per year prepaid would be good, and also a $10 per month browsing plan.
But now I've been reading that smartphones can easily "accidentally" use data and the resultant charges would quickly deplete a Pres Choice balance. I had some issues like this with my Nokia Nuron Wind Phone. At least once it even turned itself on for some reason. Don't like that given at home I'm "Wind Away" and get charged 10 cents every 50 kilobytes.
So I'm thinking now of going with PetroCan at as little as $75 a year, also with mobile browsing $10 per month. It's on Rogers, but I'll check out their service and see how well it suits me. People have been successful lately with mobile WAP browsing on PetroCan and Speakout.
And I'll likely end up with at least one extra Bell/Telus network SIM I could keep in car and use if needed, and as always, 911 is always available even if no SIM or balance on SIM.
So, in conclusion, (for now, LOL) current plan is to test both Presidents' Choice (Bell) and PetroCan (Rogers) and see how they compare.
Morning all
I'm currently with 3 on their One Plan sim only. I want to pick up an Xperia S and have seen that they do it on PAYG for £369. This is very tempting as a way of getting the phone without increasing my bill or locking me into a long contract again, only requiring me to swap my sim for a micro one.
Couple of questions.
1) Has anyone got one from 3, if so, is it locked to their network and preloaded with any network specific apps? I'm happy to debrand it out the box if so and then worry about unlocking another time.
2) Do you think it'd be feasible to go into the shop and buy the handset on PAYG and at the same time ask them to swap my contract sim for a micro one (I've heard they can do it in the shop there and then)?
If all else fails I can order one online and process the sim swap through customer support and wait the few days for things to move round.
i signed up to xda's lengthy tedious sign up process just to help you out mate
apparently the 3 payg is unlocked and doesn't have any branding but sometimes it could depend on the batch
however with o2 pay monthly it is more likely to be branded than unbranded, again depending on the batch. The branding is minimal just start up screen really. SIM unlocking is not a problem on pay monthly phones.
anyway the reason im telling you this is that you can buy the phone on o2 for 225 if you want but only soon
here is the process
Step 1 order 13.50pm 24m contract with phone for 79.99 from o2 site via Quidco and receive phone the day after
Step 2 cancel 3/m bolt on immediately after you get your o2 login bringing price down to 10.50pm
Step 3 get 4 extra free smart tags from sony using sony-promotions.com/experia
Step 4 Unlock simlock for free by filling out o2 form or phoning them, (you will need to have put new o2 sim in phone first)
Step 5 Order giffgaff sim card or use your 3 sim
Step 6 receive quidco cashback of 110 and immediately Pay off remaining 02 contract
Use *#*#7378423#*#* to check if your bootloader can be unlocked, currently mine cant but my sim is still locked until tomorrow..ill update you if the bootloader can be unlocked too after unlocking the network simlock
i hope this helps
Many thanks
Sounds like a safe bet for 3 then. At most a quick flash to a UK generic and then wait for ICS which going by Sony's recent record with bringing beta updates to the previous lines looks like they should stay on target for Q2 and provide reasonable support beyond the launch period.
Roll on pay day and new shiney things to play with ;-)
My 3 handset is both bootloader and sim locked. This doesn't bother me as I'll debrand it and unlock it if need be in the future. The only thing (as far as I know) that 3 have added is a few widgets and a boot screen.
I have no idea if debranding is a much of a pita as with htc handsets but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it, and keep reading this forum.
You can get a sim cutter to size your sim for a few quid off eBay or even use a pair of scissors and a free microsim as a template
Thanks launton.
I remember doing my Hero and that was fairly straight forward using the goldcard method.
The one that was a pain for me was my old SE P990 as it involved swapping some files on the fly as it backed up and then updated the firmware - made even more difficult by the fact I had XP64 on my PC at the time which meant I had to do it all inside a 32bit virtual machine and hope that as the phone disconnected and reconnected itself on the USB that it stayed attached to the VM
From what I briefly read in the development section it's a case of feeding the right firmware to Sony's PC software and crossing your fingers for a few minutes.
i played with the xperia s in the three store and it has the 3 logo on startup and shutdown i think.
just to let you know.
Hello. I work for ThreeUK and to be honest it depends on how long you are willing to have the handset. If you can splash out the £384.99. If not its only an extra £9.00 a month atm with 1000mins or £12 more for the same plan (9 x 24 = 216) (12 x 24 = 288)
You can get a replacement micro usim for free in store which will activate in under 24h.
The 1st batch we received were generic but I believe we are now rolling out branded handsets (three store widget and app)
Customer service will unlock the phone for £15.32 which can be added to you bill.
If you decided that 2000mins is to much then move to ye Sim600 12 month sim plan for £15.00 (600mins, 3000texts all you can eat data) saving you £120 over 12 months taking the time the phone £264.99
Hope it helps

Very helpful H88RRY :-D
The One Plan's the only realistic option for me as tethering is pretty essential. I am a very high data user, often preferring my phone's connection to my friends/relatives snail speed net connections. I'm very happy with and recommending of 3's service so far.
I've kept my last two phones for 12-18 months before looking for the next interesting thing while being able to get a reasonable amount back for the previous handset.
I might order the handset PAYG online as I found I can get nectar or maximiles points through their respective sites
I take it there's no discount offered to someone that's just reached the three month upgrade period when changing over to a long term contract or no option to pay something towards the handset in order to keep the monthly cost down?
Not really no. The value of three tariffs are already market leading and the company makes little profit from the handsets as it is. Being staff we don't get any discounts on contracts either

Will be popping in to my local Three store on the way to work tomorrow night if I remember to grab an Xperia.
Had a quick look at someone's at work and it's a lovely screen I must say but definitely in need of a good solid case (come on Otterbox, do your magic).
I have a couple of the Nillkin offerings on order from China via eBay so they'll take a week or so usually.
Does anyone know if the ones currently stocked by Three come with a case?
If not do the Three stores sell reasonably cheap generic cases for the time being or the official Sony pouch?
edit: I just realised this'll be the first phone I've bought in a shop since my old SE T310 - blimey.
On amazon it's £387 if you can wait to get it delivered... It's an unbranded handset.

£369 on PAYG from 3
And I'm in a new toy kind of mood
Not too bothered if it's branded as that seems to be a fairly straight forward affair with android in general and only really something I worry about if updates start getting delayed or forgotten entirely.
If someone could let me know about case availability in the Three stores that would be great. There should be a few other places near my local store where I could pick something up if not.
Ye I couldn't wait either payed £429 for mine from Carphonewarehouse... As for cases I don't think there are any in the ships yet except those cheap gel ones.
About cases. We currently have no suitable cases for the Xperia. We have a leather pouch case that's made for the desire HD but that's the only thing that will fit
Yes it's £369.99 but it does need to be bought with a £15 sim so total is actually £384.99 but still an amazing prices.
I work in Stratford Westfield if anyone wants to pop in n Play

Just spotted that on the site. Think I'll go for that.
Just want to chip in here, three is fantastic as a rule. I'm having issues at the moment but they are aware and it will be corrected shortly. Data speed is brilliant too. I use mostly data.
My phone was free on a 34 quid contract. Bootloader is locked, damn lol, but other than a bootscreen it had no branding.
Sent from my XperiaS via transwarp conduit.
