Remove Orange personalization - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Software Upgradin

Hi
I wan't to know if there is any way to remove the orange personalization from my Spanish SPV M3100. (remove orange menu, orange color...)
Can I put the Spanish Vodafone personalization?
Can I remove the personalization, and put the hermes device "generic"?
Thank you in advance...

look here

So If I understand this, I could upload an extended rom like vodafone spanish to my spv m3100 ???

I got my second m3100 this morning.
Normally, I am against original network roms because they are bulky but the other day, someone mentioned the orange one being reliable.
I'm on t-mobile and this time, I left it as it is.
I used to run the I-mate one but small things like having to reset the phone when it stops installing at the today screen and so on got to me. Its like doinga format then stopping it midway.
Anyway, that did not stop me removing the orange desktop.
Simply go to start>settings and Today
then on the items tab, uncheck orange but check the reset (what u want)
That will get rid of the orange desktop.
On the themes tab (the one before the items tab) set it to windows default and thats your orange colours gone.
Lastly, just input your MMS/GPRS and EMAIL settings according to your network and remove the orange ones.

Splash Screens??

Hey all!
I recently put a new ROM on my Orange SPV M1000 (Sin's Merged v2).
After getting the correct GPRS settings from Orange all is pretty great! The screen looks much better and it all runs a bit smoother.
My only issues are as follows:
Can I change the boot splash screens? I don't really like the O2 logo all over my Orange phone
In the top taskbar the O2 logo appears next to my network signal. Is there any way to get rid of it?
Last one: When I take a picture, the 'send' button doesn't do anything. Before I could press it and it would give me the option of sending by MMS or e-mail but now it just doesn't do anything. To send a picture by mail or MMS I have to take it then compose the message seperately.
Nothing too bad, just things I'd like to change if I can!
special o2 sotfware is in the extened rom you can open and remove the stuff you dont want like that icon
or you can look in windows\startup
and remove the shortcut to the o2 thing you dont want
or you can try removing it from the today screen items if thats where it's at
here is how the splash is changed

Thanks for the info Rudegar!
I've attached a picture with the O2 icon i'd like to get rid of.
As for the splash screen, I'll take a look a bit later on since it looks a little more complicated than i thought it might be
read this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=16916&start=0
it's cab file called "connections.cab"
Ah! I see!!!
Thanks for that!
Also, I updated my splash screens last night. No more O2 for me!
Thanks for the help guys!

XDA - now unlocked from 02

Can anyone tell me how to remove the O2 bubbles screen in my "start" menu....i dont want any o2 stuff on and I am struggling to remove it.
Cheers
try looking in /windows/startup
programs which auto start when a device is reset is often started
by shortcuts there

Wm6 Dialpad

I am testing pdaviet v.6 Touch Rom since yesterday and it looks very good. There is 1 thing I would like to have. As I have posted before, I don't like the phone skin very much. The picture is even smaller than in the standard wm6 dialpad before and some other features are missing. Could anyone post this standard WM6 dialpad skin please?
Are you sure about that? Cause the dialpad of the Touch version are bigger than the original WM6... oO
Well, you can edit some registry in order to get the default WM6 dialpad. However, the "BACK" button is missing (though still function).
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin under Enabled, change the value from (1) to (0). This should work.
Thx for the suggestion, but it doesn't work. If I change the value to 0, everything is gone. I mean, I don't see any button any more, they seem to all white and on a white background there is not much to see!
Well, you may need to install the WM6 dialpad...many of them to choose from...http://www.zombienexus.net/portal/default.asp
Keep in mind, the back button still missing...but functional
Hi,
I followed your hint but failed to installed the dialpad from zombiennexus. Only the top background changed to blue but the rest parts remained the same. Any idea? Thanks

Sub/Status display on WM6 - is it working at all??

Hey all
I have here my Ameo upgradet to WM6 Dopod U1000 ROM and unlocked but I can't get the Subdiplay to show. I tried putting the keyboard all the sides toward the screen but nothing changes. Does the WM6 at all support the subdiplay function or is the problem only in my device?

I am using the WM6 upgrade found here (not the Dopod one) and have no problems with the Subdisplay on my X7500 maybe it's related to the Dopod Upgrade?????

Bringing it out by putting magnet around front camera. It works for me.
I am using the only one WM6 update available here and tried all the positions of the keyboard but nothing changes. Through the transperent part of the keyboard I see the two soft buttons Contacts and Calendar. Does the Subdiplay just activates when the keyboard is put on the screen or schould be started otherway?
Now I noticed that whatever application is started when I put the keyboard on the screen it just returns to Today but it doesn't appear any sub or status display. So I think it recognizes that the keyboard is brought on but its something wrong with starting the subdisplay. Could it be just disabled or its not available on T-mobile Ameo? Any suggestions?

Goto HKLM\Software\HTC\SubDisplay. It should show "Open=0x1 (1)".
Also goto HKLM\Software\HTC\SecondaryDsp. You can do some tweaking there. I've been able to change and apply the TopMargin by setting it to 60.
Wow. Thanks mate. I changed it to 60 and now it shows up. I can swith between the clock, operator and a Home adn Visiting clock. What is this Visiting clock and how can I change it?

Just goto to Settings>System>Clock&Alarms>Time.
does anyone know how to change the color of the text on the right and side of the subdisplay. thanks
Is there a registry setting to force the subdisplay to 'on'?
If I even nudge my keyboard the subdisplay turns off, quite annoying!
Funny thing, I changed the
HKLM\Software\HTC\SubDisplay. It should show "Open=0x1 (1)
value to '0' and that puts on the display without the keyboard attached.
But when you attach the keyboard, the subdisplay 'may' go away, and then it just doesn't come back.
There has to be a registry value that would turn off the magnetic keyboard sensing switch to force the subdisplay into one mode or the other. Anyone have a guess to where that registry is?

To change the text color just goto HKLM\Software\HTC\SecondaryDsp\TextColor. What I don't know is the color code list (FFFFFF certainly stands for white).

I've searched that registry without any success.
I attach a small & thin magnet inside my case as a replacement for the keyboard.

How to remove bottom tray (not just battery, and wifi icons)

Anyone had success at completely removing the bottom tray on an 8525 running the new WM6? Not just removing the battery & wireless icons, because if you install other programs that don't let you remove the icon, than the tray still appears again, unfortunately.
The Wizard fix of deletely the int_tray (something like that) from the startup folder doesn't work, as there is no file like that.
Use regedit to find HKLM\Init and the entry is launch92. Just remove it.

Follow this. It works fine.

Nope.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...EMOVE+CONTACTS
...this link talks about the SOFT KEYS, not the bottom tray (where things like battery monitor & wifi icons are)
hklm\init\
....there isn't a value: lauch92
there a bunch of others, but it goes from 80 to 98...
Do This:
Removing today screen tray
\HKLM\init\Launch92: Delete
Just checked on my Vario II (TyTn) and I have no Lauch92 to delete either. I have Launch70 (connmgr.exe) and then it jumps to Launch98 (TimeWizard.exe).
Can you confirm what is in the Data field for the reg key you are referring to? I have 2 columns: Name (which has the Launch## bit) and then Data which appears to refer to the actual exe that is run. Perhaps on the TyTn the Name is differnt to that on the Herald (your linked post)?
Tony
No idea for remove bottom icon tray?
Anyone with a Hermes have success at this?
