Easiest way to 'unlock' ANY phone is with a turbo sim, look on Ebay

I got the same. However, still don't have the guts to disassemble my X10...
I'll wait until the black faceplate is ugly enough...
So is there still no sulotion for the broken usb port ?
=\ im realy stucks right now with no phone because of this problem

Yea, why not just send for a repair? The usb port is important for SEUS updates and flashtool.

If u want.to save.money.open up your phone urself and try replacing it correctly or try applying some hot glue so it can stick...

i cant send it i have no warrnty ...
im from israel there is no global warrnty out there
and i have no documents if is there any global warrnty lol
The only way to fix it s to dismantle and solder the USB connections points again. Im going to do mine tomorrow

Did you dismantle it AND solder it?
I have dismantled mine many a time and the only way I can see how to fix it is by soldering the USB connectors that have come off the PCB

Stupid question but I suppose would you being willing to try it yourself?
I dont have a riff/jtag box... and to buy one, to repair one phone... hummh... too expensive...

But I realized that I would need root phone but I can not find anywhere instructions on how to do it. Do you have someone with that experience? Can anyone advise me? Thank you so much for all the answers.

You can try using super one click (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682) or gingerbreak (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1044765). I personally have used super one click to root my droid 1 and it worked perfectly. Hope these help
