I got a couple of those things when I bought 2 usb cradles w/chargers off of e-bay. They were pretty cheap as I recall. About $7 US plus shipping.

Third party car charger/sync cable?

The prices on car chargers (70 dollars) and sync cables (35 dollars) in Norway are hysterical. Talk about blackmail! So are there any third party stuff yet? I haven't found anything on eBay as of yet.
I can't believe that they didn't find space for a regular USB mini on the thing!
(Oh, in case anybody should wonder: This is the pink version, and it goes sooo well with my manbag! ) (OK, kidding. It's for my wife, and it's kind of hopeless to use TomTom without a car charger!)
Mastiff!
I think the same in regards to the stupid decision to use proprietory USB connector... BUT and this is good, I have today found and ordered the following : http://www.expansys.no/product.asp?code=137745
This is simply a little cable that converts the stupid connector to traditional mini USB, and since the device needs te same power in volts (5V) I am going to able to use my car charger for MDA PRO
P.S. I have no IDea how much are 55 Norwegian Crowns in Euro but mine on the dutch Expansys site costed me 8 Euro (and another 8 for shipment, Lousy bastards)
WOW Mate I have just looked how much would be the price with shipment and it comes to 236 Crowns, dude how much is that (for a small lousy cable)
A lot... Not as much as you'd think though. It's around 40 dollars, so I could live with that. But when Expansys has got them, they'll very soon surface on eBay for half that price! So thanks a lot for the tip, now I know what to look for! then again buying three of those only costs 25 dollars more (400 kroner or 66 dollars), so I may do that. Thanks again!
Edit: There's already one on the Bay! http://cgi.ebay.com/Car-Charger-for...7QQihZ004QQcategoryZ35193QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem 20 dollars with shipping ain't bad!
I'm sure some headphone adapters will follow soon as well.

help on seller Hermes flex/ribbon cable

I tried to find it on ebay, but the price was so expensive.
Thank you

For UK buyers there's MobileFun.
They sell both types which are the correct one's for the Touch HD (not the badly fitted one's that you can find elsewhere).
See here for the cheaper HTC Touch Desktop CHarging Cradle.
See here for the dearer Deluxe HTC Touch HD Desktop Charging Cradle.
I have both.
Note: Both are much cheaper than Expansys.

my desktop cradle from ebay finally arrive today in a nice small box.
http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370151123238
You may want to see the items bundle with the purchase.
i tested immediately by charging the battery and syncing the touch HD without any delay. I would say the cradle is nicely built. I tested the cradle by putting my touch HD in the silicon case and plug it in and it still fit nicely into the cradle and syncing as well. (I need some additional force to push it in due to the thickness of the silicon i have) But it will be effortless for me to sync the HD if i remove the silicon case.
No regrets buying the cradle. The only useless thing i feel is the pouch that came with it. Its simply too tight, Must tighter than the original touch HD pouch. I have a problem pushing the phone into it.
But in anyway the cradle is great!
Thanks for the feedback, are you using the grey transparent silicon case from ebay?

no... i didnt got my silicon case from ebay. i got it locally. Its a clear type transparent silicon .
I had another leather pouch which i also switches around to use....
Can you plug in a standard adapter into the cradle? It looks like it uses a UK adapter to another adapter for that cradle..
What is the battery like that comes with it too? It seems quite a cheap price

As for the adapter, I did not use the one that is provided. I uses my old dopod 900 charging adapter instead. Its the same voltage and also uses USB.
The battery is 1350mAh. So far been using it on my phone and so far so good.
There's a coincidence - I ordered the exact same thing a week or so ago. Waiting on delivery at the moment, but I'm happy to see that there's another user that thinks it was worth it.
Could Anyone advise a model with audio out ?
thanks !

Hello,
could somebody please name the manufacturer of this cradle? I'm from Germany and I would be pleased not having to buy it from the UK. I didn't find anything similar in german shops yet.

I have both this case and the Deluxe one manufactured by Kidigi.com.
I can say that the case you mention does not have a manufacturers name, only HTC Touch HD.
I can say though that both cases are excellent.
i know its slightly off topic, but are the spare batteries sold on ebay with the cradles any good.. how long do they hold their charge?

4ustuff is a wholesale company that provides products to 4ukidi which is their retail arm.
nice link sound good staff
Well mine came today and I must say disappointing
While it did what it says it does it has some bad points I feel.
No mike in this unit.
the housing that hold’s the phone doesn’t hold it very tight if I turn my phone to landscape it falls out of the holder.
So I went and got a .brando car kit and I am very happy with this.

makes me scratch my head.... the oem htc battery goes for no less than 29 bucks anywhere else online. yet they have it for $13. and a no name with same mah for 3 dollars more. then a no name with less mah for 1 dollar more than official with more mah. just doesn't make sense to me. i'm tempted to try it for the cheap price, the oem battery i mean. but after years of shopping online, i smell something fishy. anyone out here have any experience with this retailer? namely the batteries they're selling?
nothing as for as Sprint cradles

I would be really careful about that cradle for U.S. versions of the phone. They have sold it on Ebay for a while and it will not fit. That description alone should give pause since it says it works on the Sprint and T-mobile models. They are nothing alike. The Ebay seller says it only works on the Euro version.

Retractable 3.5mm Stereo Headphones

Anyone know of a good set? I've only found the siedio that cost like 55 bucks and it's not even the form factor I'm hoping for. There is still a lot of wire that isn't retracted.
Here are the two I've found. I can't even verify that they will work properly or that the connector is 3.5mm and not 2.5mm. Anyone have any experience with them?
http://store.everythinghtc.com/seidio-2-in-1-headphones-retractable/11A29A1047.htm
http://store.everythinghtc.com/seidio-2-in-1-inear-isolator/11A29A1045.htm
Ok, looks like this is exactly what I'm looking for. I just missed it on Seidio's site because it only showed the earbuds in the picture. The other pic shows that there is only a little bit of cable that doesn't get retracted. I'll post if I find it cheaper somewhere else.

I buy a lot of stuff from this Ebay store. Decent prices and quick service. They have the isolator ones for $35 free shipping.

The store also has the retractable data cable and car charger.

thanks a lot of the reply and link. Unfortunately, I've already contacted him and he doesn't have the version I'm looking for. The link you provided is the HTC connector and not a 3.5mm connection.

edit: by looking at the links you posted it seems you are looking for hands free headphones with mic. the ones I posted are only headphones, no mic included.
