Hello all!
I am in desperate need of some help from you all, and the great rom chefs here.
What exactly happened:
From past 2-3 roms (pandora 1.0, 1.1, PDAVIET-v6,v7) i have been having regular MANILA freezes. it would freeze within 12 hours of flashing, and in the last 2 flashes, it froze within 1 hour, without me installing anything.
Titanium worked fine. untill that started hanging too.
So i tried reflashing the 1.6 official rom, thinking that might clear up some bugs as its the official rom.
while trying to flash it (from my sd card directly) it gave up an error - Invalid DEVICE.
I restarted and went into bootloader again, and then i started getting this error :
UPGRADE ROM CODE ERROR
PLEASE TRY AGAIN
Now i have tried reflashing from the computer, and also from the sd card directly, 1.6 official , pandora 1.1, pdaviet v7, but to no success.
All the time it still gets stuck on that screen.
I have tried hspl'ing it again, it was successful - the hspl procedure, but then still no rom loads onto it.
Even tried using the sspl, but still nothing happens. With SSPL, it shows flashing as 0%, and stays there forever!
PLEASE HELP guys!
in a real bad situation!
Thanks!
so what is the device status currently?
can u boot into a main manilla or titanium screen?
Can you get to bootloader? Were you flahsing ROMs using SSPL or HSPL?
hi..
i dont know if this might work, try to get stock rom, xxx.exe, rename xxx.exe to xxx.rar and unpack it. you should see RUU_signed.nbh and rename to leoimg.nbh. put leoimg.nbh in the root of your sd card. and flash use vol down+power button.
oh, there was a mistake!
When you firstly flashed your device with 1.6 official from sd card, this removed hspl and the device checked your rom's region id. I guess you have used offical roms from other areas. So the process stopped when the device checked the cid.
At this stage, you should find out the offical rom from your area, and re-flash it from sd card, then everything will be fine.
But you didn't, you tried re-hspl and sspl...and i don't know what the consequence will be.
So? Did you get it fixed mate?
Any update? if you haven't fixed it yet PM me.
If it is de wrong region rom you tried to flash do you might need to flash it with a goldcard?
hope you got it sorted
Just flash your original rom using htc ruu will do. been there, done that
yeah flash the 142 or 148 rom that is appropriate for your device.. and use teh exe/ruu that came with it rather than sdcard.
what's the betting you needed the goldcard to flash 161? which is why you're having issues trying to reflash it ?
HSPL
Hi,
You could try this,
1) flash HSPL first.
2) flash the stockrom one more time from storage card.
This will erase hardspl so if you want to flash custom roms again you need to flash HSPL one more time after you flashed the stockrom.
Succes,
Leo
I have the same problem and I need the official 1.42 rom... do u know where I can find it?

Your Leo was probably locked on your operator
at this point You've got to flash HTC official ROM with a Golcard.
Or your operator's rom directly from bootloader.
yep. I'm actually trying to get a gold card...
I've tried to create a gold card and hard reset but the setup fail

Did you try flashing thru boatloader official Rom (from your region) ?
I tried to install the latest HTC official rom but the setup stops at 9%
"Error [290]: invalid command"
It seems a problem of Radio... not rom...

You have to flash 1.43 of your Region thru boatloader. If boatloader does not work thru goldcard.
I tried with italian 1.43 official rom also but the setup keeps stopping... Tried also using a goldcard, created using qmat
Hey guys, i think i bricked my Atrix. I was trying to flash CM7. The phone is rooted, SIM unlocked, and was running the stock 2.3.4 ROM on ATT 4.5.91. It was fully funtional (well aside from endless reboots, hangs, crashes, etc) until this evening. it wont get past the dual core screen. i need this damn thing for work. preferably by tomorrow.
heres exactly what i did, in order, and with whatever versions i was able to remember.
I snagged the latest CM7 ROM, Dec 10.
Also snagged ATT latest radio ROM.
had Clockwork Recovery installed already
-DEVICE IS ROOTED, BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED AND SIM UNLOCKED-
batch backed up all user apps
attempted to boot into CWM recovery with power+vol down
-kept getting android exclamation point icon
-plugged phone in and went via CWM (when it boots, if its plugged in i get into recovery mode)
went to backup and restore, made backup of internal SD card to external SD card
installed CM7 ROM from EXTERNAL sd card (just noticed it says to install from INTERNAL SD card)
did NOT data wipe/factory reset, was rushing through and totally forgot
DID wipe cache partition
installed latest radio ROM
attempted to reboot
all i get is the dual core screen.
can i reflash, wipe, or reset it via RSD lite, or some other way? NV flash? any help would be great; i have an old HTC tilt i can use but good god who wants to use THAT nowadays?
...and btw i am not so much a noob as much as i am impatient; i rushed through this (i have screwed with this phone and others a lot, and should have paid more attention. i JUST finished building 2 home server rigs tonight, including manually recovering files from some fools RAID0 arrays and got cocky
Have you tried redoing the process? Doing proper wipes and then installing cm7? Also, how long did you wait until you decide it was no good?
let's say if you can still go into CWM recovery, you can try factory reset, and then do the installation form the zip again. don't forget to wipe the data this time, but according to what you've written, you only see triangle with exclamation mark (default android recovery??), then may be you can choose RSD mode at the start-up and flash a stock ATT Rom first, then, follow the correct footsteps. Don't worry, Atrix is really hard to be bricked totally.
i cant get past the dual core screen, but i do have access to RSD lite and it sees the atrix, so im waiting for the same stock 2.3.4 rom to download, flash, and retry (correctly this time). thanks so far! i have NEVER been able to access recovery via vol down and power for some reason on this phone.
EDIT/UPDATE
well, attempting to flash the original SBF via RSD lite 5.6 didnt help; now i get the dual core boot screen, but i cant enter RSD protocl support OR anything via power/vol down, and upon turning it on, the screen no longer says 'unlocked'. awesome.
i get to 99% flashing the stock SBF, and get this message. RSD lite is no longer recognizing the phone, vol up and power does nothing, basically i have the dual core screen and thats it.
'Error switching phone to BP Pass through mode'
...thoughts?

DO NOT take this advice! Flashing SBF after unlocking bootloader can absolutely be the fastest way to brick your phone. Also, it is very easy to brick your phone!
Can you get into fastboot?
Try a full wipe per below:
reboot to fastboot
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase webtop
fastboot erase preinstall
fastboot reboot (to recovery)
flash ROM
If you can't get into recovery, you can flash the ROM through fastboot, and also flash romracers recovery.
This will give you the cleanest install. After flashing CM7, leave your phone sitting until it boots into the OS, which can take 15 minutes. I believe the long first boot times after flashing are due to the kernel being flashed with the ROM. Then leave it another 10 minutes before flashing the radio, (latest radio for ATT Atrix is 36P radio found in the Fruitcake thread).
yes USE FASTBOOT

ok things have now gotten VERY strange. First off, my Atrix was SIM unlocked, bootloader unlocked, and rooted on 2.3.4 4.1.91.
for over 5 hours i tried everything, figuring it was hard bricked. i went to sleep, with the intent of heading over to ATT to get it replaced under warranty.
...power it on just for the hell of it, and IT BOOTED. stock 2.3.4. does NOT accept the t-mobile sim (NO LONGER SAYS UNLOCKED ON BOOT SCREEN), and apparently is not rooted OR bootloader unlocked from what i can tell. i had left the battery out the whole time, but left it plugged into the wall charger.
so now i guess i root, BL unlock, SIM unlock, and CORRECTLY flash CM7... FUN!
UPDATE
Rooted, bootloader unlocked, SIM (still) unlocked, and running CM7. thanks to everyone! i still have NO IDEA how it went from a hard brick to a stock boot, with locked BL and no root.
Your bootloader won't lock again and when you do a stock sbf it will get rid of root.

i am aware the BL cannot be locked again, i went through the process mostly because i wasnt sure, my phone no longer said unlocked in the top left, so i also checked to make sure it was SIM unlocked. i have NO IDEA what/how i did what i did, but im up and running CM7 now, so no worries.
Hey guys
I rooted my Note and after few reboots my phone stocked on splash screen with logo Rogers. If i understood right I had a problem with new ROM.
Then I flashed my phone via Odin using pda-odin-rogers-stock-system-boot.tar. rebooted and I thought my phone works fine but I have new problem- phone doesnt see sim card. After I flashed modem via CWM using Rogers-Modem-CWM.zip but still have the same problem- NO SIM card...
I did it following this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1630843
Maybe some of you know what to do or any ideas how to solve this problem?
Thank you
What sim? Did you have to flash the radio at some point? The rom usually doesnt touch the radio unless you used an exe like the ICS leaks.
Sent from a big ass phone
I have sim card from Koodo.
I tried to fix this problem with sim card and thought at some point it would help.
I reverted regular GB folowed all steps in thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1630843
These are Odin-flashable .tars of the stock Rogers system, boot/kernel, and radios and can be used to revert to stock.
Files Available
NB: All files are zipped to save space. Please extract the .tar before flashing via Odin.
pda-odin-rogers-stock-system-boot.zip This .tar contains the stock system.img.ext4 and stock boot.img and can be used to assist in resetting your flash counter using braway's method. Flash it via Odin's pda option. The recovery.img has been removed to preserve CWM if you've already flashed it to your phone. Once your flash counter has been reset, you can then return recovery to stock via this method using just the recovery.img file in the archive here.
phone-odin-rogers-stock-radio.zip This .tar contains the stock Bell modem/radio and is flashed via Odin's phone option. Not working properly. Apparently I don't know how to make Odin flashable modem .tars, lol
Rogers-Modem-CWM.zip This is a CWM-flashable .zip of the modem files. Should work perfectly. Let me know if you run into any problems.
Have you rebooted into recovery and done a full factory wipe/reset ?
Take a look at this thread. These files work 100%.

Yes I did it twice.
I dont understand what can be wrong.
Thank you Agoattamer
I found these files few hours ago and flashed them. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26175261#post26175261
Phone looks like new but doesnt work with sim cards.
When I was flashing first time I had sim card inserted could it damage radio or modem during the flashing?
Now I have a pretty nice small tablet for 550$)))
I was wondering if in repair store someone can help me to fix it after all my actions)))) but I still dont give up.
It will be last time when I modify my devices))) Lol
Now I dont know have to live without phone. Yesterday, when bricked my phone, I even didnt have alarm clock so I seted up timer on my appliance on kitchen
hi,
i have brand new hd2 tmobile. the phone stuck on the tmobile logo and didn't start-up.. i tried to flash the original tmobile stock ROM ** i got it from tmobile website** but it stuck in the flashing and refused to finish flashing.
i tried to install the ROM from the sd card but it always freezes in the radio flashing process.
i installed hspl3. now i have 2.8.hspl and tried to install the original stock ROM again and cocked roms through RRU.exe flashing and the SD card but no luck.
Also i did task29. it wiped out every thing yet no luck .
btw i try to flash radio 2.10.50.x
all the radios i did were 50
i use the reset button every time coz the phone wont respond unless i use it.
Bricked HD2
Make sure it's in bootloader and flash 2.08 HSPL to it via HD Tool Kit...Let it reboot, and pull the battery..Let it sit for 30 seconds..But the battery back in,and flash radio for Leo 2.15.50.14.It should flash the radio with no problems then.Best of luck with it.

I had that problem before. take the image and name it LEOIMG.nbh
put it on the root of the sd card than go into bootlaoder and follow direction to get it to work than pull battery.
Well I was running the leaked sense ics build and it was causing my phone to overheat so I decided I would switch back to cm7 for a while, when I when I tried to reboot to recovery it just booted showed a black screen then rebooted back to the rom. So I tried to reinstall the recovery from both rom manger and the bootloader nothing worked. I then noticed that it was hard to get my sd card out and that it was slow to load upon boot, odd but it was still readable by the system and I could get to my files on it. I treid a few other sd cards with the same results. It was then I decided it would be a smart idea to try and flash a ruu to try to just return to stock (but leave the bootloader unlocked). I ended up flashing PG05IMG_no_hboot_2.11.605.19.zip from [HOW TO]return to stock (gingerbread) from revolutionary or normal hboot(11/2/11) - xda-developers Which then lead to my phone not booting to rom or recovery all I can get to is the (still unlocked at least) bootloader.
Any ideas on where to proceed? I attempted to run a ruu exe so I can restore it from a computer in case the problem with sd is why it is failing to flash properly but the one I tried 2.11.605.0_Radio_0.01.78.0802w_3_NV_8K_1.41_9K_1.6 4_release_210841.exe required the phone to be booted to the rom to confirm the current build before flashing a new one. Anyone know of a way around that maybe? Or anything?

It may not work but I've had some luck with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703455 in rooting and unrooting, it may be able to see it and do its thing. I know you said you tried different cards but it might be worth looking into reformatting your card in Windows (FAT32) and trying it with a good radio by itself to get it to boot. Then pull or rename the radio zip off the card and then reinstall the ROM or RUU.
