Does anyone know what folder contains the wallpaper for the external display? I apologize if this has been discussed before (I searched and could not find a specific answer to this question).
Thanks.

Hi,
I have tow questions:
1) How do I tell the Music app to scan only specified forlders on my SD card to look for music files?? I have star-translate and text-to-speech service installed and the Music app also brings up those translated sounds, which is very annoying.
2) ASTRO can no longer create folders on my SD card. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but this did not fix the problem. I just cannot press the "create" button. However, Linda file manager creates folders fine. Any way to sort this out? Anyone else got this problem?
Thanks for your help and comments
Any help guys??!!
You can add in a .nomedia file to folders you don't want included in the Music app. More details can be found here.
I read that thread... thanks for sharing. But this does not seem to be the best solution, rather it is a very complicated one which I never expected from Android. I mean the best way should be to tell the Music player which folders to include and which not to include.
Is it REALLY not possible?? If so, then c'mon all the Dev community!! It is a very fundamental issue which needs your attention ASAP. I should be saying this to the Google people but I don't think they are gonna be as helpful as you guys
I' m getting prety angry to tell you the truth!!! I really don't want to bother users to explain the same thing over and over again, but it seems in general, almost no one "TAGS" their questions!!!
I' ve been spending most of the time searching for the answers to some very basic questions and I just cannot believe people get anything done thru search results to the most of their problems. I like to think of myself as far from being stupid and unresourceful and yet I' ve had it with spending so much time looking for solutions!!!
Those of you who know what you are doing are getting it done. Those of us who are yet learning are doing it by trial and mistake, or what??! Well, I for one am not like that! I like to know all the facts and the theory before I do something!
So, to get to the chase...
Please answer me this:
- When I dl. an ICON PACK in a .ZIP format, file, where to put that or what to do with it, before using the icons with ie. Folder Organiser? (there are .PNG files in the folder...)
I get the part on how to change the icons, but no one explains on the above. In plain and simple english, the answer please?
So for the future enthusiasts, let this be a first for all the "noobs" to find the simple and direct answer to the problem! I'll even tag it correctly...
Thank you for understanding and for your help.
I already answered your other question so stop whining. Just extract the zip to your sd card. And then you can select the icons using whatever app.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
DON'T BOTHER WITH ANSWERING...
After some more wasted time, I've managed to find this, And just as in all the other cases the answer came in a topic related to my issue, yet a stumbled upon it by accident and not by searching the forum... That's why so much time gets wasted! So many people and no one seems to be bothered by the logistics. Do you acctually realize how hard it is to help ourselves with the thing which is acctually created to be helpfull??!!
Anyways... Here is the solution for all you noobs. Hope this spares you some time...
(1) Download some Icons from the Market. Search the Market for "Icons" and "Icon Packs", most are free and will install on your phone. Most Icon Packs will say you need Bettercut or Open Home to use them, ignore this - they work just fine with FolderOrganizer (and any other app that can change icons)
(2) Optional - Download some icons from the internet. The best way to get icons from the internet to your phone is using a PC and transferring them to your SD card by USB. To do this, create a new folder on your PC called "Icons" or whatever you want to call it. You can create a new folder with a different name for each set of icons you download, which makes them easier to find later. Connect your phone to your PC using the USB cable and select "Disk Drive". Open your SD card on your PC using Explorer and copy your Icons folder to the SD card (don't put it inside an existing folder on your SD card, just add it to the top level directory). When the copy is complete, unplug the USB cable and the phone will scan the SD card and find your new icons. (Note: an alternative method is to connect your phone to your PC as a Disk Drive before you start, create a new icons folder on your SD card and download the icons directly to your SD card - just select the icon folder on the SD card as the save location)

BTW, I'm not angry at anyone, just the way the world operates... Ufff...
Sorry 'Kev!!! A thousand APPOLOGIES... Did not refresh the page so I've missed the answer... In general, I was pissed by the amount of time spent for such a minor problem... Otherwise I'm not such a nag.
Thanks anyway.
Hey guys I was editing my picture with a photo editior on the phone and when I saved it, it somewhat corrupted it which will not allow me to view it however the wallpaper, which I set it under, still shows the picture... is the picture stored in a cache ? is there a way how I can grab it from registry?
Hey guys which thread consists of alot of views on XDA? no one talks about touch pro and all these old phones... just views no comments... =(
Sorry, I usually wait for others to post about these things before I formulate an opinion, much less voice it.
I don't know for sure if this will help but can you open the picture on your computer? Basically, copy the corrupted picture to your microSD and use an adapter that works and attempt to open the picture up on your computer.

I have the corrupted picture , but when I try to open it says it can not open it and its 0kb...I want to know if its like a computer, where sometimes I delete the wallpaper picture but still using it and for me to actually get it I have to go to the windows folder and find it to copy it.. however there isn't much in the windows on the windows mobile.
But thank you R^7z, I never hear from anyone here... its the only forums that never speaks.. seriously!
I'm not sure about this but I think PPCGeeks may have a louder CDMA RAPH fan base. Either that or there seems to be more talking in the newer device forums??? I usually hang out in the RAPH/Android forums when I am on here but occasionally I do browse the newer posts.
Not 100% as to where the actual picture is stored if that is the case. I imagine if this was a stock picture, you could get it back with a hard reset. Additionally, I wonder if the photo editor saves it somewhere?
Well first off I'm glad to see that I had saved it to my computer so I do have back up, but I'll continue my search to where it does save it to... once again thanks r^72. Most forums are talking about newer phones, android espically lol but yeah I post it up on ppcgeeks asweel and got a few info but waiting for tomorrow for more.
I have been doing a lot of searching and cannot find the answer as to how to transfer ringtones from the phones internal storage to the SD card.
I am running Cyanogenmod 7 and under the settings for the ringtones, at the top I have ringtones in english text and at the bottom I have ringtones in chinese text. I really like the chinese ringtones but are not available in the newer version of cyanogenmod 7.
I have check the sounds with the SD card removed from the phone and the ringtones I want to transfer are on the phone itself. I searched in \system\media\audio\ringtones and I can only find the english ringtones. I can not seem to find the ringtone anywhere in the directory tree. The only place I have access to the ringtones is in the sound settings. I even went as far as making a backup in recovery and extracting the .img files to possibly get the ringtones there.
I have attached 2 pictures of the settings where I see the ringtones.
At this point I am completely out of ideas. If anyone has any suggestions, I would really like to keep these ringtones for my next rom update. Thanks in advance.
I found one ringtone online ζδΈζ±ε
I did find one ringtone online from here "mobile.91.com/Ring/32308.html" (still cannot post outside links). The other one will be more of a challenge since the characters are more complex. I hope I can get the others out of the phone. If you have any ideas, please reply. If I figure something out along the way, I will post my solution.

It might be a stupid question, but I've looked everywhere, so I figured I'd try asking around. Where do games get saved on the V10 ? ? I've found where 2 of my games have gone, but I can't find the other. On my G3 and my Optimus G, there was just a designated "Games" folder when I used a file explorer or plugged into my computer, but that's not there with the V10. Specifically, normally I'd go to Games > com.mojang > minecraftpeworlds, then just copy the individual world files to be able to bring my kids Minecraft worlds from one phone to another. On this phone, I've looked everywhere and can't find the folder anywhere. Even searching for it brings up nothing. I apologize if there's a really obvious answer that I'm missing here, but I'd greatly appreciate any help on this.

If you look for minecraft folder, probably is in this folder, follow this link: /sdcard/com.mojang/minecraftpeworlds or /your_internal_sd_path/com.mojang/minecraftpeworlds

That's exactly the problem, that those files are nowhere to be found for some reason. I'm not sure why there isn't a designated "Games" folder anymore, but I've looked everywhere and I still can't find where my game files are. I've had no problem with my past 4-5 phones in finding these files, they're always in the same place, but they don't seem to be showing up, no matter where I look. I hope I'm missing something here, because I need to be able to find these files so I can transfer my old PE worlds over from my old phone.

That's odd, I have a 'games' folder on the root of my internal storage, and then a folder 'com.mojang' inside games.
