I'm currently looking for a pen/mechanical pencil/stylus combo. I bought one about a year ago that i used with my magician from Fry's but it broke after 2 weeks use. I'd prefer one that allows quick and easy switching between them, or if possible one with the stylus on the top of the pen. I currently use the eraser on my mechanical pencil while during work as a stylus but its fat and a bit hard to use at times.
So any suggestions?
Lamy makes multifunction pens: http://www.lamy.de/
(I'm planning on getting something like this as well)
Lamy Twin Pen IT is a ballpoint and stylus.
Lamy TriPen IT is a pencil, ballpoint and stylus.
Lamy 4-Pen is a pencil, ballpoint, stylus and marker.

A good site for stylli
Thanks guys, i guess i'll go with a Cross or Pilot as they're reputable companies. Hopefully the quatily will be better than that crappy $9.99 multi-pen I used to have.
where a cross?¿?¿
Here is one that fits right into the stylus slot:

BIC makes a relatively cheap one (so it's not a big deal if you lose it/break it.)

Yeah, does look as though after some use your gonna up up having to pry the stylus out because the lid comes off when you pull it out.
Anyone tried??

This one used to be my favorite (until I lost it). Too bad they don't make them anymore.

thats what i have also.. actually i have 2 of them, one for home, one for work, to big to carry around, buts its [email protected] comfortable! My kids had broke one of them, but i took it apart and repaired it pretty easy.. i would recommend this one also
The best pen/encil/stylus I have ever used is Rotring Trio or Quattro. They're expensive, but they last. Unless, you lose it. I've had my Quattro for over 10 years. Still functions perfectly.

One of the first accessories I like to buy for any new device I get is a replacement (fits in OEM silo) Pen stylus. I know the Touch Cruise is new, but has anyone seen any stylii that are pens and fit in the device?
TIA!
Hi - the TC comes with a spare or Expansys(UK) are selling some here:
http://www.expansys.com/a.aspx?i=159608&atype=Stylii
Though showing estimate delivery of 9 days from today...
Thanks for the reply. However, I am looking for a combination pen-stylus that fits into the existing silo slot of the Cruise. The link you provided was for stock replacement stylus which is not a pen.
Oops. Sorry. Will post again if I find what you need.
doubt you will find one, the size of the stylus on the touch cruise would surely be too small to fit a combination pen/stylus

Is such a stylus available for the Artemis? If so then it would NOT fit the Touch Cruise because the bit of black plastic at the end is a different shape but it would demonstrate that such a thing is possible because the overall dimensions of the two styli are identical. (I just slid my Artemis stylus into my Touch cruise and the diameter fits perfectly, the overall lengths are identical, and the only reason the Artemis stylus won't push fully into the TC is because the plastic bit at the end is longer relative to the overall stylus length compared to the TC stylus so it fouls the edge just at the last 5mm or so of travel into the device.)

haven't got mine at the moment but how thick is the stylus? 2mm, cant see how a mechanism for a 3 in 1 would fit in such a size

Definitely bigger than 2mm. I just held it up against a tape measure and the diameter looks to be just a shade over 3mm, probably about 3.2mm.

still think its not thick enough even at 4 mm, have you ever seen anything like this that is less than 1cm+

I have gotten (in the past) a 3-in-1 for every device I have had except for the collapsible KJAM stylus. One will become available for the Polaris. The stylus is not that much different from other devices.
Re my previous message, this will almost certainly NOT fully push home into the receiver on a TC (because of the different profile of the black plastic thing on the end) but it IS an existence proof that such a device is possible within the form factor of a TC stylus.

That's what we need. I am sure some US distributors will pick this up soon. HTC just needs to get the damn device out there in more quantities.
They will deliver to the us but it wont be cheap, probably about $60

Ouch. I love my pen-stylus combo's but not for 60 bucks. I'll wait 'til a US distributor comes along.
If i see anything ill let you know, am i right in thinking that the Polaris stylus is the same as the orbit 2 stylus
that looks sweet...can't wait for it to be avail. in the US!
i'm sure by this summer when the TC starts to become more popular over here we will start seeing alot cooler accessories for it.
It's just a matter of time...the waiting game def. sucks tho

If an Orbit 2 stylus is the same as an Orbit 1 then no, the Polaris stylus will not push home fully into the Orbit housing. Read my previous posts in this thread (including the one on page 1 of the thread) for details. If Orbit 2 stylus is different to Orbit 1 then I don't know.

Wow I love that!
I have been trying to use the supplied stylus in various writing programmes. I have found the retractable end quite annoying and have come up with a solution. The stylus fits very nicely inside a Parker roller ball pen. I just had to pack the inside top end of the pen with paper. the grey point of the stylus looks like a felt tip pen and it is a joy to use with the likes of Journal. In meetings people think go are using a real pen. Just dont forget to take your pen to work with you.

Stylus
I too find the original stylus difficult to hold .. I don't like the pens that have ballpoint and stylus only because I know myself all too well and know that one day I will scratch my screen by using the wrong end. . LUCKY FOR ME .. in my business I deal with a lot of jewelry and jewelers. Last week I got an antique silver mechanical pencil in with a bunch of scrap silver jewelry. It has a loop on the top to attach to a necklace .. long necklace .. and one of the jewelers that frequent our shop removed parts of the inside of the pencil and gave me a stylus point made from ivory. He made that tip round and smooth and it is awesome. I will post a picture later .. I forgot it at my office on Friday. I have been wishing I had it all weekend.
Have you ever had that feeling when you have just been totally outdone and feel very inadequate and inferior.
somtimes i don't use shifts pen, i use my fingers or my montblanc starwalker, but is a little heavy, for my customers is a pleasure for the eyes, i hopeto find a kind of stylus less heavy, but elegant like your geoff.

I hope you are joking because that is not how I meant my post to come off. Believe this, I will drop it on the tile floor and break the tip, long before this post gets cold. I have also written down the name of the pen to make my own like yours. I never would have mentioned the ivory thing if your post hadnt arrived around the same time as my new stylus. I am just lucky with the bullion business for my find. I have in the past gotten a Tiffany stylus from the scrap. Search ebay ..you will maybe find one. It is about half as tall as a regular pen with a cap. I rarely use it because I am afraid of using the cap.
A great stylus to get if you could find one is the "bullet" I think it was called. It was made for the game machine Zodiac .. Some guy made them to order out of silver and also stainless I think I lost mine long ago.
I have one other I like where the top of the pen is a stylus, the other end a pen. I removed the pen part and also the clip that was close to the top because it was always in the way .. I have a dozen maybe. I will take a pic of all of them. I am never satisfied I guess.
Diane - In Search of the PERFECT Stylus ...
No worries
Dont worry about it I was only joking, Im just jealous really and in any event, Im actually far too stupid to feel inferior
as guy who uses tablet pcs I use my tablet pc pens (yes they were designed for an active digtiver screen) they work fine as the stylus for any touch screen interface like what the shift has. Tablet PC pens do not have any regular inking tips so there are perfect for anyone worried about accidentally writting in ink on their shift's screen.
There are plenty of used ones on ebay just do a search for "tablet pen" and pick the one with sytle you like.
If you want a new one that looks like a regular pen and has very nice feel to it then I suggest looking at the one from CROSS. http://www.cross.com/catalog/pendetail.aspx?cat_name=Penabled+Executive+Pen&nav_name=Penabled+Executive+Pen&tech=Electronic+Pen&line=Penabled&finish=
I am personally using a couple of different tablet pc pens the Cross one in the url above and a TC1100 pen. I also use this 4 n 1 stylus, pen, and pencil combo from amazon.

I like this for a stylus too
I was thinking about ordering this one from Fujitsu. I like the tether idea.
Here is the link.
Hi all,
Pretty simple request here. I'm looking for a stylus pen that I can use with my Transformer. That is, a pen, with a rubber - or whatever it is - bit at the top, so that I can flip the pen around and tap away.
Reason is, 99% of the time, I have one or more pens in my pocket for college, so I'd like to have the option to use them as styli(?) as well.
Sounds simple, but I haven't had much luck in finding one. Main thing here is price. I want them to be cheap enough that I could order a few and loose one without caring too much. (~$3-4 each)
No-one has looked into this before? I can't be the only one out there interested.
Here you go-

Hey, been thinking of buying a few of these, seems to be perfect. Take a look around the site though, that have some 2 in 1 types thats double as an actual pen, and smaller ones that can hang from the headphone jack. Keep in mind it will take a few weeks for the order to get to you, but it will be worth the wait.
I have bought some neat stuff from them before, you get what you pay for but the stylus above looks to be a great deal.
Edit:
Found that 2 in 1, a little more expensive but is what you actually wanted.
I never even thought of looking on DX... Thanks very much!

What stylus do you recomend to sony s, i want to right notes from classes
Please if possible ebay link
none
All of the ones that I know of have a rubber piece at the end and are not suitable for hand writing.
What I don't know is if the new Samsung firm stylus would work.
Hi guy! I've the typical cheap stylus, but I don't recommend you to take notes (I'm in university and it isn't easy to keep pace with him hehe).
A very good pencil is the Adonit jot, I haven't tried it but I've readed that is very good! But is very expensive too...

Later, to take notes I recommend you the FreeNotes apk....is very easy and, for me, the best apk for this!! hehe. Free in the PlayStore!
Sorry for my english, I'm Spanish...
The best stylus for handwriting on the Sony S tablet that I've found found is the just mobile Allupen. It does take some getting used to and there is a slight delay. It is the only rubber tipped stylus I've run into that you can write with. Also your mileage may very depending on what app you're using to take notes. My personal fave is Freenote.
The adonit Jot works well too, but I thinks it's more suitable for drawing than writing as it will constantly be clicking against your screen if you even write moderately fast. Good for cursive though.
Another good option is the fabric tipped gogo stylus it's exactly the same as the fabric tipped aponyo stylus, but it's a little cheaper.
With any of these you have to get used to writing with them. It's not like writing with a pen. Also all the palm rejection software I've run into has been less then thrilling. I just wear fingerless gloves to solve that problem.
Good luck!
works great

I just got the Adoint Jot and it works fairly well,
http://adonit.net/product/jot/
I'm surprised people have gotten any stylus to work with the Tablet S. I've tried two different iFaraday styluses, which are supposed to be the most sensitive stylus available, as well as a Boxwave rubber tipped stylus, and a dirt cheap generic Ebay rubber tipped stylus. All of these tips trigger a strange constant double tapping action just by touching the tip to the screen. Extremely annoying when in the browser as this causes the screen to constantly zoom in and out. I pretty much just assumed the Tablet S screen simply can't handle styluses.

Hello!
I have a Galaxy Tab pro 10.1 and I'd like to know if I can find and use a fine point stylus to draw on its screen!
I know the S Pen doesn't work with the "TAB" (only with the note).
I don't like the "large" rubber stylus…
The idea is to draw and write thin graphic things!
So if anyone can give some advices to me, it's great!
Long life to this amazing xda forum, so intense!

+1. Saddly I've heard even Bamboo stylus are not working here and I really don't know why, when it's supposed to work with every capacitive touchscreen. Same have heard about old samsung Cpen (which went on sale with old Galaxy S3 and everyone forgot about it).
I also am interested but I don't want some of these plastic-dip stilus like Adonit. any suggestion?

Why not "Adonit"?
Do you think it can damage the Galaxy Tab screen?
On the internet you can find several videos "demo", it seems to work fine.
I've also read about DAGI P508 or P702, supposed to be ok!

It's not only that it "can" scratch your screen, I personally wouldn't find myself comfortable with its thin joint between disc cap and body. No idea about that DAGI.
What I would like is the rubber cap to be thinner, more or less like a marker.

I bought these: http://www.amazon.com/Bargains-Depot®-0-18-inch-Rubber-2Packs/dp/B00D5GVMK8
Those have the thinnest tip I could find. They feel very soft and responsive in my Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. I can write normally with them.
The best of all is that they are super cheap. Just 6 bucks. It came with additional 10 replacement tips (the listing says 6 but it actually came with 10).
