we have a lot of tmobile Ameo (the same like the Athena). Its tmobile- unlocking is no problem but there is german language on it, someone there who know how to upgrade to english?

I don't think it's a case of the store unlocking the handset with an xda-developers type unlocker, I believe there comment of unlocking refers to T-mobiles fairly liberal unlock policy.... ie they will send the unlock code to the store so they can make it an 'official' sim free handset...............

Yes, in Germany they'll send the code by mail. But I'm waiting since one week for the payed code, but it isn't comming (they don't have the database)...
It's a little bit worth to have an Ameo and not to use it!

I know as it works: it's a virus which kills your system (it killed my one, but I had a fresh image)!

Looks like unlocking of T-mobile is not going too well, when i bought my T-mobile MDA Pro, i had trouble to unlock it as well, but eventually, i went through t-mobile customer service and got an official unlock code from them.
Thank god i am getting the DOPOD U1000 one, it won't have any unlocking problem

Teja could you please share hoe you got the code? I am also interested. I got my T-mo ameo without any contract or sim yet. Currently I use Lyca Mobile sim which works but they dont (or maybe I don't know ) have data service T-mo custommer service could not help because I dont have contract with them
I wrote it in another treat in this forum - but it was the regularry way!

In my haste, i flashed with a g3 rom, i think
RUU_Qtek_9100_AKU2_21878_024711_ESN_G4 had worked but was in spanish...
CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE.exe killed it.
after flashing the splash screen would appear and stay there. after i removed batterries and placed them in, the wizard does not power up any more!
help!!!!!
Are you sure it was a G4? If it was I think it's dead (you tried flashing a G3 rom). If not.... try getting into bootloader mode and flash again (keep the wallcharger in and try turning on every hour).

also, i have SIM unlocked my wiz, will they tell me that my warranty has lapsed?
I did pay and unlock through imei-check. This is the only way atm to unlock a G4!
When you send your phone back I wouldn't tell them what you did. Many ppl did get it repaired under warrenty.

looked at imei-check. they dont mention if the MDA is CID unlocked.
Also, is it true, that if my MDA was CID unlocked, flashing with the wrong ROM would not have killed it ?

With a G4, you always have to flash a specific G4 rom (rom without IPL/SPL). Even if you got a CID-unlocked G4.
Flashing the IPL/SPL is what bricks the G4.
CID-unlocking is to load an OS that isn't from your provider.

go to this site;

buy the key file for your device and download the unlocker.
follow the instruction on the site to unlock your phone.
choose a rom you want from here.

the answer is YES. actually, the latest version can unlock x01ht with BL1.09 downgrading to BL1.04 so that you can even burn any rom you want.

you have to buy the key file from imei-check. there is no free way for x01ht so far.

the latest unlocker for tytn from imei-check downgrades bootloader to 1.04, and then unlock the phone. when it's done, the bl version is still 1.04.

Not yet.
If you want to SIM-Unlock your phone, you'll have to cough up the 20 pounds. A small price to pay, IMO.. I paid it back before pof's free unlocker was available, but the 20 pounds was a lot cheaper than having to buy another phone that would work with my Globe SIM-Card.
If you only want to change your ROM without sim-unlocking your phone, there is a way to do that, but you will be violating copyright, and I assume that nobody will be willing to send those files.

If you want to unlock the sim lock. Please goes to IMEI website. If you just want to change the ROM from Japanese to Chinese. You may study the FAQ or wiki.If you still got any problem, please post your problem here. I have done the same thing before. And I have almost sucessful. (Exclude I can't input the chinese.) Did anyone know what happen??

*sigh* please don't confuse people. what you are referring to is for the old x01 BL1.06. we are talking about the new x01 BL1.09.
as of 2/3/2007, you have to use imei-check unlocker to unlock x01 with bl1.09. there is no freeware yet.

i remember reading(will link later) on here that when you run the imei check program that it copies the files to your device before it asks for the file, even with the newer version that is now available, which unlocks the newer phones as well... so it should follow that the same process with the newer version of their program will unlock the bl 1.09 phones as well, right? if no, then why not?

what type do u have- G3 or G4 type???
I have G4 type & it does not usefull with it!!
I have a G3, but "key" has been extracted with a G4!

I tried it, and for me it didn't give a "corrupted key or key mismatch"-error. It completed stage 1, but then it makes an intermediate reboot and then I get an connection-error message and end up with an unbootable device. Gonna have to reinstall the original ROM I guess.
I tried it on a G4 QTEK 9100 which is CID locked (deuh) and which is SIM unlocked. Oh yeah, I tried it under Windows Vista, which is supposed to be supported by the IMEI-tool.
***edit: I tried it again on XP machine and then it continued with stage 2, so dont try to use the tool in Vista! Sadly I now also encountered the 'corrupted key or key mismatch'-error ***

btw, the question I am keeping asking is that. I've ever successfully flash my CID locked G4 to wm6. During the flash, the aWizzard tool told me that I successfully unlocked CID.
If say I successfully unlocked my G4 by using your tool. How do I check whether my G4 is locked or not, Any software? I am quite confused about this.

I bought a phone that is locked for Vodafone UK. I hope that did not fool me, but the phone has vodafone icons and charger is uk. When I insert Slovak SIM, its ask for code.
I'm not sure if it was called for 5min. but there are scratches on phone, so I hope he call from it, but if not and I buy and enter the unlock code, will it lock permanently, or its not problem? I tried to buy the cheapest code from ebay, but "Sorry-Code is not found in the database on this service for your IMEI."
What is best and cheapes way to unlock it. Thank you for any help and sorry for my english :fingers-crossed:
The best way to unlock it is by code, using a service provider of this kind. I have used in the past unlockscope.com and I was very pleased with the results. I recieved the code in the same day and the unlocking proccess went smooth. The costs are ok as I paid 19$ to unlock my Galaxy S6 and normally the network provider would charge me somewhere around 80$.
