please tell me how to improve the sound of attom
Maybe it would be an idea to say what sound you're talking about. Phone, rings, MP3's or what?

I use DSPManager to boost my speaker volume by sliding all the equalizer bars all the way up, and it gives a noticable boost in speaker volume.
My question is, is it safe? Will it blow out the speaker because of the increased volumes?
One of the biggest shortcomings of the X10 is the not so loud speaker, this fixes it, but not sure if it's safe.
Thanks for any help.
can't find it on the market, could you post the link here or pm me to it so i could try it out?
The DSP Manager is a fair safe software. Wolf even included it in some flavors of his amazing ROM and nobody complains about losing the speaker (none that I know of).
I use the DSP Manager whenever I want with no trouble at all.
On the other hand I do think you're right about avoiding excesses. The wisdom teach us to keep the balance and don't misuse equalizers and LED flashes.
In my opinion, the best way to listening music in the X10 is still the earphone.

Watch out it can bite in your hand.

Thanks, but I was thinking more along the lines of the increased volume will be used for the ringer, when the phone rings, because it's really soft right now and I can't hear it from the other side of my house. DSPManager fixes that. I do use headphones for my music. I'm just worried that too much ringing might damage the speaker because of the increased volume that comes thanks to DSPManager.
I read about the click/pop noise but I dont know if this is related. Mostly the audio track within the video recordings is quite good. But this weird noise I didnt hear really until Im recording whule my car is running. My cars exhaust isnt real loud but it does have more noise and bass than average.... Along with the engine pullies/powet ateering noise. But, what this plays back sounds all swishy and garbled... It sounds like extreme audio compression .. weird electronic noise.. like it totally deforms the sound of the engine. Idk what could be causing this. I also get this noise while recording in voice recorder usibg the AAC LC mode. Sometimes I will heR weird knock sounds ... That I KNOW my car did not make.
I just got this phone a couple weeks vack and I absolutely love it, coming from a Touch Pro 2 with a bad mic... This is the only thing that bugs me because it craps up the audio .. I have an audio sample that you can hear.. Just dont know where to put it.
Thanks in advance..
it encodes audio at 128kbps which is absolute garbage.. that's probably why

Look in the thread "audio recording click/pop". I posted a video in there.
Mods, can you delete this thread? Read what I wrote in the other thread for the reason. Sorry about that.... It was in another forum that I read about the pop/clik issue. Got them confused. Haven't been here in a long while
I have problem with skype calls
I dont really know explain but is like i can hear the other party voice but when he/she is not talking, i cant even hear the background noise, is like it's totally silent. Is like when the sound is soft, it's totally silent, if is loud then it could be heard.
Never have issue with other phone, tried voovoo but also same problem reinstall stock rom still same issue. What's the problem?
isn't a skype's bug..when you call someone push sound icon at left top and resolve your problem..i'll hope so bye bye
I know it's not skype bug. What i mean is like when someone talk i can hear her voice + background noise (fan, tv etc), but when she not talking, I cant even hear the background noise, it's totally silent.
But when the background noise is louder for example she cough or what the sound resume back for 1 sec or so and go off again.
Hope this is clearer.
Anyone?

Hello,
Some videos, musics, and radio programs include sections during which the sound suddenly becomes too loud. For example, assume you're listening to a radio program with really quiet vocals. So you would have to increase the volume. But suddenly they start to play some ads or musics with a really loud volume. I need an android app similar to this Windows software that is capable of adjusting the volume dynamically:
trishtech.com/win7/sound_lock_set_maximum_volume_in_windows.php
(Sorry, English is not my native language. I'm just hoping that I could make my point and somebody can help because this is becoming really annoying)
Thank you.
Please someone help me with this! :crying:
App/feature
Are you talking of a music equalizer or a DJ app ??????

Well, maybe my explanation was not clear enough. But I'm pretty sure this webpage has described what I'm looking for very lucidly:
trishtech.com/win7/sound_lock_set_maximum_volume_in_windows.php
It is for Windows though. I'm looking for an alternative for Android.

What you're really looking for is a sound compressor AKA dynamic range compression. This will reduce the range between the loud and quiet sounds so you won't have to adjust the sound constantly when you're switching from quiet vocals to big explosions. Can't say I know any software that does this on Android without rooting, but DSPManager for CM does this.

Not sure if this is the right forum and I don't know which one is for this question.
I'm looking for an app that will limit all audio to a certain level.
I think there is a name for this concept in how TVs handel loud commercials, but I don't know what it is.
So I'll be switching between apps like music and instagram and while my music is at a good audio level, instagram will immediately bow my ears out. Is there a way to make all audio coming from my phone not go above a certain level... as well as keep the low levels up to a defined low level so some aren't too low? Hope you can understand what I'm asking.
Thanks for any help!
