Modification of the IR for XDA2 - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

Hello Everyone,
Would like to know if anyone knows how to modify the IR for the XDA2? I find that the current IR is sucks and can only use as remote control but limited to 5feet only! Hence thinking to change it if possible so that the range can be extend to 10feet or more.

hhmm ... not as what I have in mind but thank Guess with the currently device goes into using of Bluetooth, IR is going to obsolete.

MyNevo

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to load the Nevo software onto the XDA. This is the software which enables the XDA to control an IR device. If it can't be done, is there any other similar software around to perform the same job?
:?:
All Pocket PC remote control software works on the XDA, but the power of the IR LED is really lacking: 1.5 to 2 meters is about the maximum distance you should expect.
Commercial range-extenders exist.
Does anyone know where you can get hold of nevo?

IR Signal Replication (not TV remote)

Im looking for a program that would learn the infrared signal thats produced by my key-type remote for the entrance into my building. Its quite big, and it uses normal IR transmitter found in any typical remote control, so I wanna get my PDA to "learn" the signal, so I can just use it to open the door.
Is there a simple program that will let me do this? All I could find are the remote control programs for TVs, etc.
Maybe you could try the Learn function on the tv remote programs, they might work. I recall I could use it to turn on my air conditioner with my old phone. Unfortunately the IR range on my new, XDA IIi is too weak.
I was hoping for a simpler solution. Some lightweight program I can always keep running in the background.
What lightweight program would you recommend?
please someone post here a link from where i can download a remote tv program for my wm pda . thanl you

[Q] Physical remote control to work with android device.

Hi all,
I'm reading for some time this forum and I think here I can place my question because I'm not able to find any information...
My Question is how to setup a infrared remote control to use with android instead of keyboard or mouse.
I thought in lirc but the several ports that I found for android are working to send infrared signals, not to receive them.
I was wondering if there is some project or program to allow infrared remote controller manage the android device.
Thank you in advance and best regards.

I am planning to work on this sometime. My guess is that the remote key code need to be captured and mapped to the keypad codes.

[Q] Multipoint bluetooth enabled phones

Hi Everyone,
Just to ask this question regarding Bluetooth functions on phones mostly on android. Has anyone knows an android phone which has a functional multi-point Bluetooth capability?
As i know only headsets can do multi-point to connect multiple phones at the same time, but not i heard of on phones.
This has been brought into asking since i was unable to connect on both bluetooth (blueant q1) headset and my live-view. It's only connecting on one device and then the other one will be disconnected.
----------
Knowing that this could use more power if this feature has been created, but can be made to be disabled as part of power saving settings.
I hope someone from the dev team can take a look at this functionality as this can be a great feature if enabled on android phones.
This could also mean modifying the bluetooth stack for this to enabled, but it seems to be a worthy one to be tried.
Thanks!
Hmmm.... seems no one is interested =(

Custom programmed Smart Controller

Got my Mate 10 Pro two days ago and been trying to programm IR Blaster for my setup box but when i "code" it with my remote it does not work (it works just fine with preset settings for my TV). No ir light at all (tested with another phones camera).
Any ideas how to programm it ? Should i maybe use another app ?
Thanks
Yeah same issue with my Sony TV and aircon works fine but my surround sound won't register, even when learning via the remote. Worked fine on my old LG phone IR. I'm also looking for a new app, bit of a shame as I prefer integrated app instead of 3rd party.
I'm having the same problem. Preset controls work fine but custom don't. The bad thing is that Anymote I've been using on my old Note 3 and also worked on P10 plus is not working on Mate 10 pro. Did anyone find some app or workaround to make the custom ir learning function to work? As eg. long press that I need to turn on my Panasonic TV is not working in most applications and it also doesn't work in the Pre-installed SmartController
Same with my mate 10 pro. Very limited remote control selection for built-in app. Custom remote not working even though i tried different techniques in programming keys. My xiaomi mi5 had better remote control features than this and it sucks coz the remote function is one of the main reason why I picked this phone. Now I feel like i just bought an iphone.
Has anyone been able to make a working custom remote?I haven't been able to copy any of my remotes from tvs,STB's to AV tools. If you got it to work can you share which phone,ROM version, app you are using?thanks
Anymote
For anymote to work with Huawei mate 10 pro need to change in settings advanced to alternative Ir code
Same for me Firmware B125 )
does it work ?

You got it to work with AnyMote ? free version ?
I got this msg
Error
Unfortunately your phone/tablet does not support IR commands learning.
This is a hardware limitation that cannnot be resolved through software
Same here on the Mate 10 Pro... any ideias ?
do you guys test galaxy universal remote app? I am using this in mate 9 and working OK, make one test for see, I understand the models phone are diferents.
As stated, enabling alternative IR code makes Anymote work, but forget about using learning function with it: Huawei just didn't release the needed API to third part devs.
As for the native app's learning function, I was able to succesfully program custom remotes for 2 devices, and it works fine. But in another case, while I was able to program the signal from the device's remote, that device just doesn't seem to want to receive signals from the phone, it just ignores them. It did behave the same with my old Mate 9, thus I assume that there are devices around which just don't like it, or Huawei's phones don't support some particular IR codes (but why then does the app apparently accept them? go figure).
Same for me
Its still not learning, right?
I have the samme issue.
Does anyone know if Anymote is working fully on the Honor View 10?
I had no problems getting my Samsung TV and Xfinity Box to pair and work perfect. I just have problems with the Roku remote. Has anyone had any luck with Roku?
I found a method that seems to work fairly reliably on my mate 10 pro: hold the phone and remote about 5cm apart, and extremely steadily (I hold the phone in my left hand normally, hold the remote upside down in my right hand, and support my right hand on the top right corner of the phone), then I hold the button down with my right thumb while keeping everything as steady as possible until it registers (should be a second or two unless you are not pointing the remote at the correct sensor). Only had to redo one or two buttons after I started programming it this way.
i used this app very good but you need Chinese app gallery it has the new remote update 4.0.9

I use mi remote app in the google play store and it works very well
