Hi all, does anyone know how to install the Internet Sharing application on Dopod 838Pro. I have the latest official Rom from Dopod, but it still doesnt have the Internet Sharing app. Has anyone extracted this from another Rom which could be installed as a .cab.

if it's wm5, it should be 'wireless modem'. in wm6, then it's 'internet sharing'.
But if it is a WM5 AKU 3 it should still have internet sharing.

this update is wm 5 with internet sharing. so a cab should be do able.

It works fine for me, just check that your network config on the powerbook is set to "Automatic", then start internet sharing on the Hermes, and click Access to network on... on your powerbook (sorry I translate from french).
You are then connected and for me me it's far more stable than before.

I'm unabel to install it on my AMEO - I always get themassage "bad vender-ID"
Tried every way for a solution I found here, but nothing works - always the same result: it stops updating after 1% and the I get the message with the vender-ID

You need to do a CID unlock. Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=315831 and download your free CID and SIM unlocker

If you are in Europe, the HTC Network Wizard should take care of that automatically. If not, you may need to visit your network provider's homepage for the details. For Internet, you need APN, Username and Password. The settings for MMS can be found in Messaging -> MMS -> Menü -> Extras -> Optionen -> MMS -> Server.
I had luck to grab a sinlock-free ameo!
Just putted TomTom 6030 on the ameo - GPS is also working without problems!

this software always was included in Windows Mobile till version 5!
is there any way tu get terminal server client for WM6 ??

HTC WM6 German ROM: Can it drain my BT Headset???
Hi,
a few days ago I installed the HTC WM6 German ROM on my T-Mob Ameo.
I'm very happy with this ROM because it's fast and stable and all my needed programs are running.
But after the WM6 installation my BT headset (Plantronics Discovery 655) has only 3-4 hours standby time (without any phonecall and it is fully charged).
Is it possible that the WM6 bluetooth stack drains my BT headset???

The first "sticky" thread in thes forum has the Black Touch ROM which is the only cooked ROM for the Athena. I'm not sure if it is available in German but it's a great ROM.

I think you should go to Vodafone with that as downgrade not neceserally will help.

Can somebody extract the new Internet Explorer with zoom from the WM6.1 ROM made by pArtizAn and put it in a cabfile? I know this version is working OK with the StarTrek. I tried some of the other IE cabs which are online, but most of them are for touch-screen mobiles only.
It would be great to use this IE with my WM6 StarTrek.

Hy i'm italian boy that had bought an xda atom (o2) and i need a windows mobile 6.1 rom that work very good because i've tried all roms on this forum and i have always the same problem.. mms or wifi or bluetooth
with kumara I can't set my gps on com1 to do work with tom tom 7
with Pdaviet i can't set manually the mms vodafone configuration and with the program installed mms doesn't work
and with windows mobile 6.0 (touch edition) wifi doesn't work...
i would a windows mobile 6.1 (if can be possibile touch) that work mms wifi and bluetooth
And i don't know if is a problem of pdaviet rom but when turn on tom tom 7 after some minutes it is reduced to icon...

When i installed the the bbconnect_wm6_professional_bb_al_4.0.0.103.cab is doesnt install dosn't support the file.
I try the other file older version numbers the same...

This is due to a parameter in the .cab file.
I ran into similar issues with the cab installer for intellisync with a Samsung SGH-i200 (Also 6.1), and found the solution here in the forum:

I have only tried it on the MobiPocket reader...
I downloaded the mobipocket cab file
i then opened the cab and extracted the _setup.xml file
there i found the 4'th line "<parm name="ProcessorType" value="2577" />"
i figured, maybe my mobile was running a new kind of ARM processor, i then deleted that line, replacing it with the following 2 lines:
<parm name="OSVersionMin" value="4.2" />
<parm name="OSVersionMax" value="6.99" />
i then extracted the last 3 files and put them beside the _setup.xml file (with the 2 new lines)
i then recompiled all 4 files to a cab, using Windows XP's nuild in "makecab, running from the command, and tranfered the newly made cab...
And guess what... it actually worked!!!!

Software is working but i have still not conenction...is it a any registry setting on HTC S740 that will work. It can't activated...IP have no connection.

You got the link with downloads for the BB Connect, for WM6 Prof and WM5 Standard, exactly these which are for smartphone.
Software works on the S740, but unfortunately it doesn't connect with the servers.
