I've tried "down"grading the ROM back the lower versions of ROM only connects using Activesync 4.2. wm6 only connects using Activesync 4.5.

hello, i have a MDA II with T-online ROM, but i need a XDA II O2 rom, i would like change ROM cause i have a vertrag sim card with O2 and many not working

:idea: Just thinking that it might make a more stable upgrade to 2003SE instead of having to cook your own. Right now I have a ROM from an IIs that is running on my II that works ok for the most part, but I thought that the IIi ROM might work better.
no, the xdaIIi rom is 40Mb, the xdaII has only 32M of rom.

I just updated my 8525 with this file:
RUU_Hermes_TMO_UK_3.60.110.4_6275_1.50.00.00_108_Ship.exe
and now my unlocked Cingular 8525 shows it's ID as a MDA_Vario II.
It works fine.
It shows up as WM6 Pro CE OS 5.2.1620 (build 18125.0.4.2) 2007 Microsoft Corp
I downloaded this file 3 months ago from this forum somewhere.
It was referred to as the standard 8525 ROM - not cooked.
Maybe someone that has it will re-up it and post a link.
