I am looking for bluetooth stereo headphones. I have looked at logitech and motorola ht820. I have not actually used them. Have you used either one. I just want to know about performance and your opinion.
Thanks,
ptfdmedic
You perobably wanted to post this in the accessories sub-forum.
Mods, you wanna move this?
My motorola HT820s were only AUD$50 on ebay and work brilliantly, had to patch my Magician when i used them with that. only thing i had to do with the hermes was load the skipping patch, only thing im waiting to do on the hermes is load the widcomm bluetooth stack when its finished (i dont mind the MS one though)

Hey Everyone
Two things i need help with
Firstly - i want to get a bluetooth keyboard for my XDA2 but i can't find any. Does anyone know where to get these from. Also, i found a virtual keyboard which might interest some people which can be found at the link below
http://shop.store.yahoo.com/ibizpda/vike.html
Secondly - Microsoft Voice Command looks excellant but is currently only available in the US and Canada, does anyone know how i can get it now or when it will become available in the UK?
Thanks for any help you can give
Michael
maybe this one?
http://davesipaq.com/articles/000058/bluetooth_keyboard_ipaq
Nope, that keyboard won't be compatible:
It requires the Widcom or Socket bluetooth stacks. The i-Mate has that piece of sh*t Microsoft one.
I am really starting to get sick of the horrid bluetooth software on the i-Mate  A first class PDA phone and fifth class bluetooth software.
Anyway, confirmed here:
http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=2903
well nokia just showd a bluetooth keyboard at some show
which will be out in the fall
maybe it would work ?
My understanding that it is possible to install Widcom stack on the i-mate, at least I remember doing that on my previously. So, it might work with keyboard in this case.
What's the difference between the I-Mate and the XDA2. I'm new to this technology and don't know the difference. They seem very similar.
HTC is the company from korea who makes the 2 devices supported on this site
'Wallaby' and 'Himalaya'
the former is xda1 and mda1 and qtek1010 and l.......
the later is xda2 and imate and qtek2020 .......
so to answer your question
they are the same hardware
Thanks for the info. So, you cant use something like the Logitech bluetooth keyboard? I know they have full size keyboards for the pc but will it work with the XDA2? By the way, does anyone know anything else about the virtual keyboard i refered to with the link? it looks ok but might not be better than bluetooth.

Dear,
Follow my link to original developers of WM2003SE here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=14373
HTH
Man, I am so insecure of which rom to use after all the zillion editions that surface each day, that I am afraid of using a buggy one. Better wait for a stable confirmed image, I guess.
Why not combine your own?
I use 2.06WWE (mysteryman) as found in the other posts, kept it as is, only exchanging the radio stack to 1.18 (picked up from 2.02)
I find it pretty stable, only has some trouble getting avantgo to work properly...
Problem of combining is that i don't have time to get that much into it, i'm afraid. My normal working hours are so hard that i hardly have time to sleep, so I'd like to get a working edition that is just plug'n'play as it's so nicely put by M$
Can you post your setupfile ?
If you dont have enough time, dont upgrade. Sounds like your to busy to worry about things like phones. Use 2 cups and some string instead. ROM upgrade your carrier pigeon, they are also more reliable.
I'd recommend you wait until a proper upgrade comes out from your phone provider.
The upgrades (especically SIN v3.5) do work well and don't take a whole load of time to install, but you can have problems.
I guess the questions should be, is there a Rom Kitchen
version of WM2003SE?
The Kitchens are the best way to cook up a custom rom with or without your desired ingredients.
Also, is there an XDA I version of WM2003SE?
I just upgraded and it work like dream! I also got the widcomm 1.4.x to work perfectly with my superduper version which was bundled with my norwegian BT dongle. No problem with that "license" message either. Anyone need that package, let me know and I can post it.
Also, syncing with Async using BT works superb too.
NB! My stringphone is already upgraded ;-)
widcomm issue
Hi!
How did ou get past the "license" message? Could you post it?

Er, people. When you say that Widcomm software is installed and working for you, can you also post what type of Bluetooth dongle/USB adapter you are using?
I think the license issue arises from the fact that Widcomm forced each BT dongle/USB adapter vendor to hardcode the device ID into a btsec.dll file issued with the Widcomm BT installation files.
If you have the software from someone, and you are using the same type of BT dongle/USB adapter as that guy, then you are in luck, coz the license is the same.
I had 2 dongles, one a generic CSR device and another Belkin one. Both comes with their version of Widcomm software, and the software wouldn't cross-interact with both devices because of the license issue.
What a DIM comm idea!
Hi altogether,
I want to buy a bluetooth GPS Mouse to use with my Wizard.
Actually I ogle with the CMJ-1000.
Has someone experiences with this one or can recommend me another one?
Should be not that expensive.
I want to use it in the car, while biking and walking/hiking.
Thanks in advance.

Search just a little please... this is a thread just a few down from your new one... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=295300 I personally have given up on recommending accessories as someone will always have a new/better/different suggestion. Read the thread, you'll see some ideas. Let us know what you end up doing so others can benefit.

Sorry, but I read this thread before I posted this one ;-). First, the thread is quite old and did not contain the information I am looking for.
Perhaps I didn't specify my question good enough. "This device xy works fine for me" doesn't help me, because I don't know the needs of the user who is posting.
Perhaps someone who knows, could give some information, which Specs are needed/recommended/needless to different usages.

Well... just about any BT GPS receiver will work, so look for the form factor that suits your needs. Buy a receiver that has at least a SiRF III chip. Here is a site that has a bunch of receivers http://www.usglobalsat.com/ I use the BT359, I drive, I walk, I use it biking but not while I am riding (electronics, biking, death...all too related ) Someone else suggested the iBlue 737 as seen here http://www.gpspassion.com/fr/articles.asp?id=175&page=5
Something you'll have to decide is whether you want data logging. That is useful if you are using the receiver without a live BT-phone connection.
Mostly you need to think about what mode you are going to use it in most frequently. For me, its the car (where I have power so I can overclock the phone), but I do use it elsewhere but it just "depends".

PS you could have added to the old thread and it would have "become new again".
just thought I'd give an update
BT-359 with TomTom 7 works absolutely perfect on WM 6.1 ROM

Forgive me if this subject has been covered, I've not been able to find much on this and I'm fairly new to all this having just aquired a Hermes recently.
One of the things I did hope to do with this (amongst many other things of course) is to use this device as a remote control. I have a number of devices that would become unusable if their remotes were to die and so creating a dbase of all those obscure remotes has been worthwhile using my ipaq to date.
Currently I've tested a couple of pieces of software which work but it appears that the infra red signal is pretty weak, particularly when comparing it to my iPaq 2210 running Nevo. It's far too weak to really be of that much use.
Anyway before I give up on this path I thought I'd try to find out if anyone else has found this to be as weak as I have and more to the point, would a radio or ROM upgrade help or is this down to the hardware that HTC used for the irDA?
It is in general that most PDA's have a 'weak' IrDA submitter. HP is really an exception. I also missed this powerful Irda when I switched one day ... !
A ROM upgrade won't change this.
You might be better off by buying a UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROL for your devices. Even your HERMES might be happy and last a bit longer.

Ok thanks for the information. I was kind of expecting this to be the case. I might have to hang on to the HP, it works a treat. It's a shame though.
I'll concentrate on finding out about the rest of the stuff I need to resolve like the gps problems as Tomtom is one of the priorities.

Those devices are the devils work I tell you!.
Hey guys. I am looking into getting a new bluetooth ear piece for my titan and wanted to ask if anyone on here has any experience with it before I purchased it. The reason I posted it in this forum is because I am really looking for responses from people with cooked ROMs as they are supposed to have superior bluetooth capabilities and compatibilities.
Anyway, so is anyone using the Samsung WEP500 with a cooked Rom? If so, how do you like it and what kind of results do you get from it?
I am really looking at this headset as I am looking for a very small inconspicuous earpice. I had the Jawbone but its just too damn big for me. Prior to that I had the Jabra JX10 and LOVED the size, but the sound quality sucked.
Anyway, thanks for the help guys!
