I've got a Softbank x01ht and i got a wm6 black v3. rom
1 thing i want to do is to match the keypad so when use the symbols its the correct ones.
anyone know where i can do so?
Don't know if you already fixed this problem, but I just found out how to do it
this is a c&p from a post by etreby found at 4winmobile...
---------------------------------------------
As an update to my last post, I found the fix for the keyboard issue.
To get the softbank keyboard mapped correctly without loosing predictive text this is what you should do:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Oem\Qwerty]
"Layout"="197649" (decimal)
without changing anything to 0411 and keyboard symbols worked perfectly as well as predictive text.
I take no credit for this as I found it somewhere in XDA.

it worked on my X01HT, so thanks goes to etreby and whoever posted this fix before
Keyboard Layout Changes
this is great.. but how do I find the registry ????
Can we please lock this silliness too?

Hi,
is there a way to change the soft keyboard (displayed when clicking on the keyboard-symbol) from qwety to qwertz ?
I do NOT mean the setting to change it on the hardware-keyboard (registry entry) which works.
I assume the settings are in the registry as well. Any hints?
i also want to know the answer.
i guess it need some new resource file for the setting?
I'm not sure but i think i know the Prob!
I use an external Keyboard with German Layout, the Softkeyboard works with some registry changes.
The external Keyboard use maybe the Registrykey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD
The important Values are:
"Keyboard SubType"=0
"Keyboard Type"=4
Type 4 is for english, and i don't know the german value, i think it is dangerous to change it to any value, without know how.
Maybe also the prob is the Key:
"DriverName"=keybddr.dll
If it is the problem you must generate a german driver with the SDK!
As i said before, i'am not sure but this are my results and i'am also looking for a solution!
I hope that was a little help!
You could also try Resco Keyboard Pro
I mean Resco Keyboard is a a Softkeyboard,
i have described the problem about german qwertz layout support, for external Hardware Keyboard and that is not the same registry settings like softkeyboard qwertz layout!
The Prob is still the same!
I don't think that the solution for the softkeybord will work on Athena too, but maybe you can find a similar way.
This works for Trinity and Hermes devices, but both have only a QVGA screen.

Looks good, but it don't solve the Problem with an external Keyboard, i mean Hardware USB-Keyboard!
Still qwerty!
I am also very keen to find a solution to this. I am using a Finnish usb:n keyboard and need to have the 'ä' and 'ö' working.
Hi everyone this is my first post here so here goes,
Ive updated my athena to wm6 but my keyboard locale has now changed from swedish to english, now all the caracters your supposed to get after pressing fn key are messed up. Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks in advance
Keyboard layout
I use "Resco Keyboard Pro" since the WM6 upgrade.
It changes the touchscreen-keyboard-layout and the layout from the real keyboard, too.
My layout is german, but I took a look at the settings and swedish is available too...
Test free for 30 Days ...
(maybe then you already have you swedish ROM of WM6)

wow thanks im gonna try it out and get back to you !
Ok, so I've flashed my GSM phone to this ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=517296
Only problem I got with this ROM is that I can choose
Fuze Keyboard
Pixture of Fuze keyboard button setting (Layout)
and
Touch Pro Keyboard (Standard, ENGLISH!)
Picture of Standard, English keyboard button setting
Heres a comparison
But I need the Standard, Norwegian! hehe, with Æ Ø and Å hehe, I hope this is possible for me, with this ROM installed?
not that i know the answer, but don't you think you could've posted inside the energyrom thread instead of a creating a whole new thread?
rhetorical question, of course
Maybe try out Mobilnaut SYM? The application allows you to enter special characters by pressing SYM button after a basic character (I mean dashed "e" is entered as "e" and then SYM). You can edit the list of characters by yourself. It runs very well, I made a list of Polish characters and am using it with no troubles. The only thing is that it runs with standard M$ keyboard driver, so you have to disable xt9 first.
Just set CurLang in registry to 1044 (decimal) or 414 (hex) and it should work. CWSLayout=0 is for Touch Pro.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD]
"CurLang"=dword:00000414
"CWSLayout"=dword:00000000
Bravo:
Yeah, I could, sorry.
Rabinhood:
I says;
The program you have installed may not display properly because it was designed for a previous version of Windows software.
This ROM gives me WM 6.5 - And requirements was 6, 6.1.. Not 6.5
Wester:
I see you're norwegian! Maybe you can help me a little further? I didn't understand that very well hehe
Rabinhood:
Forget what I said! It works!!!!
Now, all I've got to figure out is how to get æ ø and å into that program hehe
Haha! Guess what, I got it!!! Thank you!!! VERY MUCH!!!! LOVE IT THANKS THANKS THANKS!! (A) !!!!!!!

Advanced Configuration also works
Hi guys,
I just updated my HTC Touch Pro to 6.5 with one of the made roms from here.
Works very nice.
The problem is, there ain't any danish keyboard layout.
So i can't use the following letters: æøå
Though i can see the letters no problem if i receives messages with em'.
I just cant type them my self.
Anyway to solve this? Ive look around the forum but can't really seem to find anything useful.
Thanks guys.
Hy, there is a registry entry that changes the layout of the keyboard and you have to change the value to 0407 (engl.) or 0409 (germ.) or the number of your country ... Sorry that i cant say more at the moment, but im sure you will find that by using the search..

Hi Borisku,
I have now tried with all the .reg's and stuff around the forums, scandinavian hardware keyboards etc.
The closest i got, was with Scandinavian Keyboard by Fraction.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=496876&highlight=swedish
Then i get all my FN buttons to work ( those that are highlighted with green color ) EXCEPT Æ Ø Å.
This is really confusing lol. :-(
Try this:
set
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Keyboard Layout\Active]
to 00000406
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD\CurLang]
to 1030
do a soft reset
Maybe you have to choose danish in the settings anywhere

P.S. Make sure that youve backed up your Registry before changing anything ;-)
Here is a post with a fix that fix all you problems: http://www.wub.nu/t1016/#post3017
Hi,
First, again, sorry for posting it here. Still don't have permission to post on development forums (need 10 posts to do that).
I was looking for an English Keyboard Layout for CM but I couldn't find one on the thread. So, I downloaded the German (the one without specific german letters mapped to blue/sym keys) and started hacking on it a little..
Well, I could swap Y and Z keys, but then I had to press blue+Z to enter number 3. I tried changing another things too without any success.
Is there anyone who can help me accomplish this things:
- Important things:
1- Fully swap Y and Z letters, letting me enter number 3 pressing Z.
2- My comma ',' key prints an apostrophe. I wanted to make it print comma.
- Not so important:
3- Make blue+C who actually has an apostrophe on it prints an apostrophe (that's not so important because I'm brazilian. We don't use apostrophes to much in here =P. And it's my girlfriend's phone, she is 99% of the time typing portuguese =P)
What can help, maybe, someone who provides a layout there, can point me where to find the original keychars.kcm. The update.zip comes with this file in a binary format, making it difficult to change =/
I have the same problem with keyboard, but I can use with this problem.

Click to collapse
If it was my phone, I could adapt myself. The problem is that my gf really wants to get this fixed =P
Ah, and nice Corinthians-Tux btw ;D
