Hi im new here and i have a qtek - Wizzard (WIZA100) and im wanna put on it wm6 and try diferents versions of it BUT...
atfer read some post i see my wizard if G4 cuz startup screen with tree "0" (000)
and looks like its pretty hard to unlock it... i already check some post of that..
I know i need to see if my wizzard if unlocked.
But how i can know that? how i know if it is unlocked or locked?
Another question:
What is radio? what is the work of that ?how to disable it ? cuz in a post to unlock says disable! but what it is ?
What is Ext rom??? what is the work of that ? for what ??
If someone can tall all about those plz !

old... it refers to the hermes/tytn and various other code names.
it is referred as WM5 which is the official rom of these devices b4 upgrading...
so u want the rom that ur device was installed with originally? cause I can't think of any reasoon 2 go backwards except warranty.
it is not switching on but i can get into bootloader so somebody else advised me to reinstall the official rom. so now do you have any ideas as to where i can get it from?
if u r certain that it is a hermes/tytn and is an htc device (dopod) I would be installing the official htc wm6 device.
but make sure u have the device right first. dunno wot yours looks like.
read the forum and rules for rom upgrades first in wiki before if u have never done it.
still never heard of the z rom so not sure if it was early or u r in the wrong forum.
do u have any specific details? did u buy it? find it? or steal it?
I wud upgrade n bugger the original rom.

I bought it from Japan but it doesn't work here in the uk. I left everything there which was stupid of me. But it is a Hermes. IT is a Herm 100 i dont know if that means anything. 'HERMES-T12' according to HTC themselves. so where can i get the rom from.

I did look around thats why i suggested that earlier in the thread. I did say it was under Hermes. I thought that i had to install a particular Rom from the carrier 'NTT DO CO MO'. SO where can i get any of these ROMs from.

have you put HardSPL on it?
Do that then you can flash any ROM on it. Try it!!!

this is the offical ROM for your DOCOMO HTC Z. There has not been a WM6 release for either of the Japanese Hermes.

Based on your responses and questions, and inability to navigate XDA site, you SHOULD NOT try flashing your ROM. You will end up bricking your device.

I updated my o2 xda mini s to wm6 (or so I thought) but i won't seem to run. It installs the rom ok to 100% but then restarts back into wm5. What am i doing wrong??

Done that with lokwiz but how do you know if it worked. I tried to flash to wm6 again, it got to 100% and booted back into wm5. I know something has changed cause the initial startup screens before you get to the wm screen has changed. Please help.

Mine is Windows mobile 6 professional
Mine phone is also cid-locked. U can flash ur cid-locked g4 with shelltool.But be carefull with picking a rom, it musnt include ipl/spl and must be for g4 devices. NBD 8.3 works perfect on locked g4s.
Please read all sticky treads about G4 adn upgradin, cause u can brick ur phone > u can literally throw it away.

My question is how can i make this phone sim unlock.. please help me.. i've tried loky wiz.. but it gave me an error.. that it can't find .. some file .. help plz!
You may not write good english but i bet you can read... so go READ and go discover that you can't drag the files out of the archive but instead unzip/extract them preferentially to the C:\ drive for simplicity...
I know that i have to extract them, lol. I've tryed with them extracted on desktop..and on c:\ .. but still it gave me that error

It's a G4
So lokiwiz won't CID unlock your device, so it will error out..
Read the stickies telling how to unlock sim/cid of your device.

I've installed this rom CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE from the link u gave me the first time.. it installed 100% ... and after the phone reseted.. it stucked on the screen with IPL and SPL... i let the phone like that.. kinda 5 min.. and nothing happened.. i've reset it.. and i didn't start again... i've tooked out the battery...notthing... the phone didn't want to start again.. i've tryed to connec to the usb cable.. or the power adaptor...but notthing... the phone is dead.. as he can be ( what to dooo ?????????

You can remove your sim lock using the codes..If you wanna code, get it from http://www.wickedunlock.com/ .It helps to unlock your mobile easily..Or you may contact your network provider.

I TRIED MANY AND MANY AND MANY ROMS AND I READ ALL POSTS AND I TRIED HARD REST AND I DID EVERY THIN AND IT IS IN BOOT ,OADER AL THE TIME EVEN THE ROMS MAY PASS TILL THE END AND SAY CONGRATULATION AND ON PHONE 100% BUT AGIN WITH RESTART IT IS THE 3 COLOR SCREEN
I THINK I PUT G3 ON G4 DEVICE IS THERE ANY SOLUTION

hi am from k.s.a i had the same proplem but if you dawnload the orignal rom from i-mate web site ftp://ftp.clubimate.com/ it may work i did tray a lot of roms none of them workd exsept the one from the site.

Expert only?
Search this site and you will find the original ROMS that came with your phone. you will allways have to downgrade to restore it! I have had many HTC go wrong on me. I use an old trusty favourite Prophet_4.0.0.0.4_PV.zip Good luck!
Just Click on the first link, follow the steps and you can go.
Just go to bootloader,
DO HARD-SPL
Then flash again!
and u can drive away with your new OS on your old Prophet! xD

I just think, you need to try to install the original jamin rom again.

then it will be ok. and you can try to upgrade again

There's no need to read anything on the phone if you just want to flash a WWE ROM.
Just follow the steps in the thread mentioned above. Roughly: Flash HSPL, Flash new ROM, Hard Reset and you've got a device in your desired lenguage.
It really isn't that hard as long as you follow the instructions.
