Downgrade - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Software Upgradin

Hi all I am new to this Hermes flashing I have read adn read on this forum lots of great stuff some of which I understand some of which goes totally over my head.
I got a T Mobile Vario 2 and took the part jump to upgrade to SPL -2.10.Olipro not sure why but I did it. Nothing wrong with the new bootloader but will it be over written when and if T-Mobile issue a SHIP ROM for the VArio 2 ??
Also I took the step of upgrading the RADIO to 1.41 again seems to work fine will this also be over written when and if they issue a SHIP ROM. ??
The reason I ask is I would like to know if its possible to downgrade to Radio 1.05.05.00 and IPL -1.01 and SPL-1.04 at some point if need be is this possible ?? Some say it is and some say it is not.
I also have been tempted by the ROMS for WM6 but cannnot make up my mind which to choose for the VARIO 2 to run better on. I dont use it for anything major just calling and wireless email via 3g or GPRS. Any users of the Vario 2 in the UK found a WM6 ROm that works great on the Vario 2 ?

It will be kept on device. It will only be over written if you flash the rom using SSPL.

Yes, unless you extract the radio from the NBH file prior to flashing.

No, now that you've flashed 1.41 your htc_boot is 0108. If you flash radio 1.05 you'll get a brick, as it has htc_boot 0106.

Yes, it is possible, using SSPL.

Sorry, but this is already old news. This rom is recommended for installation by Softbank. The bootloader seems to be modified 1.09. SuperCID before installing this rom.

Did you SUPERCID the rom? This rom was discussed in the forum and it was recommended to unlock to SUPERCID the phone first.

Dont flash it with this rom. You will be stuck with SPL 1.09.
This rom is recommended by softbank for installation because of some changes made in their network after APRIL 1st 2007.
So right now people here are looking into this matter...i will most likely install
it in a matter of weeks.

Dear Julian
I would like to flash my x01ht back to 1.06 bootloader. (now with DoCo ROM)
Do you know where I can find it out?
If so, would you please tell me.
Thank you and Happy new year!
W.E.
Stupid question
Just a question about this ROM and superCID.
I have unlocked and superCIDed my device.
Does that mean the device stays superCIDed, and I can install this ROM, and if I don't like it, revert to another? (in my case the French Qtek one).
What advantages does this ROM hold over the DoCoMo one?
Thanks in advance.

Seems like the right one, with the right radio version. Anyway, why are you flashing it back to original? Selling your phone? Sending in to repair? *curious*

Some problems with it (Half bricked)
Not even sure Ill be able to fash it back but if I do I ll try to get it fixed...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=302629
I've tried many times flashing this rom but when I get to the bootloader screen which shows:
HERM200
IPL-1.03
HERM200
SPL-1.40.Olipro
The ROM program in PC stop for a long time and then shows the error msg:
Cannot connect to your PDA Phone, check your USB connection... Then when I soft reset the phone, the previous ROM still works.
But the USB connection is OK and I've flashed many other roms successfully.
Could anyone help me because I badly need to flash the original X01HT ROM.
P/S: My phone is CID, not Super CID. I use the SSPL to have the ability of flashing rom into it.
Extract the NBH from this rom and use CustomRUU, force SSPL if you want to overwrite the bootloader too, otherwise flash it directly with HardSPL.
Thank you for your advice. I have flashed many roms into my X01HT and now just want to make it original so that I can claim warranty at Softbank. Do you think it's OK?
By the way I don't know how to extract the NBH file from this ROM. The ROM is only a EXE file. Could you please tell me more detail.
Thank you
@LongmanVN: use winrar to extract the contents from the exe.
Thank you, it works now!
extract the NBH?
And then??? If I duoble click NBH my pc does not recognize it as a program.
I unzipped everything in a folder and now???
What is the next step?
Someone can help?

Available Trinity 1.33.00.11 extracted radio - 1.08 loader in NBF

As per http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293721.
(Read all the relevant links - KNOW what you are going to do before you do it!)
Since we are on the way to doing NBH radio upgrades, I've just uploaded Trinity1.33.00.11-108toHermesType2.zip to the Hermes upload area.
Be aware: this radio features radio bootloader 1.08 with all the caveats that implies. If you're not sure about using it, don't!
Does the Trinity-Radio work on Hermes?
1.33.00.11 means GPS enabled?

i have uploaded that the day it was released... somebody already flashed it but there was no obvious change in the gps behaviour
it doesnt matter if we have radio bootloader 108 anymore thanks to the new tool from DES... does this radio support GPS though??
Why not just use the 1.33.31.00 Radio from Cingular or the 1.34 from the WWE test ROM for Hermes? Until the GPS works on the Hermes might as well stay on a true Hermes Radio.

It's mainly to aid the GPS efforts. We might as well use the most recent GPS radio we can now that 1.08 won't be an issue (I've yet to see how to create the NBH out of the NB mind - I think pof was going to be letting us know. Saw the imagehash tool but wasn't that for an existing unsigned NBH->signed NBH?)

You don't atm. This is an NBF upgrade meant for SPL1.04 bootloaders & Radio Bootloader 1.07 only.
When the upgrade is installed, radio bootloader 1.08 will be present, but NBH radio upgrades are not far away now.

I dont got my warranty anymore because I made my phone simlock-free. *if you do this, READ that topic carefully!! *I just did it because I thought it was fun to mess arround with my phone..*and to tell you the truth..it was!
After that, you do this:
Ok..this is what I did, I installed this version of WM6 (for you notice; doing this is on your own risk.)
Then I upgraded my Radio to 1.41.00.10 (if you wanna know what that is, go Wiki)
Here you can find some great programs.

Alright folks, Touch Diamond 2 SIM Unlocker (also for AT&T Pure) sorted:

2) everyone else (new accounts/unregistered/sod all posts, this means you): Get SIM unlocked Here
for those who don't know:
Security Unlock lets you flash radios from other devices... technically speaking you can flash any radio, the Diamond, Raphael, Blackstone and Kovsky radios are NOT compatible, they will kill your device and cause biblical plagues - Rhodium will work fine though.
CID unlock is largely redundant, however, it's quite useful if you like to keep your device on a stock SPL as it means you can flash any official ROM regardless of which brand it's intended for without changing SPL.

Hi,
Does this mean that if I unlocked using the CID unlocker tool, I would be able to flash from a T-Mobile ROM to the stock HTC one?
I am having problems validating hardspl due to internet connection problems so this may be an alternate solution.
Sorry if this is a silly question.

Correct, the unlock will remain. The Radio this program flashes is a temporary one for unlocking purposes only, so you change radio at the end of it .

They're different. This is low level stuff we're hacking here... . Using the wrong SPL with either: 1. not work, or 2. brick the device (go find the guy who put a TP 1 CDMA SPL on his GSM TP2).

Oh.. Ok. Right answer!
btw. Flashing CDMA SPL in GSM thing surely will brick, what a stupid action!

It's strange. I have test Latest Stock ROM 3.14 (without HSPL) and tested at the same way a Android build from m-deejay (Desire HD build) without problems.
The only thing I can imagine is that you didn't remove HSPL; this cause limitation of available program memory!
No, that is sadly not the case. HSPL has never been installed on my phone Guess I will try a couple more times.
