I have a helmet with speakers from giro called tuneups II this system has two inputs one for my HTC/Cingular 8125 model WIZA-100 and one for my ipod.. the system is made by skullcandy.. It is suppose to allow a incoming call to be answered by the Cingular 8125. When plugged in it never answers the call? It works with my Nokia 6020 but not with the HTC/Cingular 8125..
the skullcandy site is at http://www.skullcandy.com/product_info.php?urlLocation=helmets&id=102

Handsfree headset (not bluetooth)

Ok, I need to get a replacement headset for my Imate pda2k.
I have 4 count em 4 that I have either purchased or had sent to me. NONE are for the pda2k. They all look like they would fit my old MDA II (which was stolen).
Where oh where can I get the headset that plugs into the top of my PDA2k?
Brian
I actually want to know if there is a better headset for PDA2k. The standard one that comes with the phone is crappy, the earplugs fall out.
Bluetooth is crap because only mono. If only my Shure E2c in-ear phones came in a headset version.
Maybe this can help you? It's something I use with my Shure e3c's and it works great with my XDA IIs
https://www.seidio-europe.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=HARSOVXDA3-SL
In the States you can buy them on evey street corner almost, I myself use This Jabra I bought it for my Moto v 551 but it works great on my SX66, and it works very well with MS Voice Command

Shure new "I" series Stereo Earbuds and Mic?

Hi all.
Shure will be releasing their new "I" series this week. Apparently they will have several models that will meld high quality stereo earbuds with a mic. Shure says that the single plug 2.5mm model will work with the Treo, but no mention of other 2.5mm devices.
Anyone care to comment on whether they will work on the Wizard? I hope so since I don't want to be relegated to using the stock headphones/mic that came with the device.
TIA!
Shure's response on I-Series
My email to them:
I own an i-mate JAM Windows Mobile Pocket PC which has a 2.5mm 4-conductor
headset jack. Will your Treo version of the I Series work with my phone,
and if not, is there an adapter I can purchase?
Their response:
The Treo version will not work with the PPC. Here is the adapter:
http://www.pocketpctechs.com/main~u...ccessories-Audio+Adapters~item~PPCPADPT14.htm[/url]
You will then use our I series DUAL connector version with the adapter giving you phone and stereo music with a flick of the switch through your PPC. If you then have a separate mp3 player you can then use the one side of the I series for music and then plug the phone side into your phone without the adapter to take a phone call. The above adapter gives you phone and stereo music or you can eliminate the adapter for just phone calls and free up the headphone jack for another device. Thanks!
Shure I Series with Treo Connector (i2cT, i3cT, i4cT)
The Shure I Series with the Treo connector works on my i-mate JAM.
Seidio sells an in-the-ear headset w/ mic. The same model number (BD3-H2ERNTR650-BK) is sold for use with
Palm Treo 650 / 700w
Audiovox SMT 5600
HP iPAQ hw6500 Series
i-mate Jam / SP3 / SP3i / PDA2
MDA II / Compact
O2 XDA II / IIi / II mini
Orange SPV C500 / M1000
Qtek 8010 / S100 / S110 / 2020 / 2020i
So I thought it was fairly safe to order the Shure i2cT for my JAM. As I said, they work. I even left myself a message on my home phone to test the mic. It works. And the sound is fantastic. I've sampled a little of everything and I am very impressed (Biggie Smalls, Cracker, Thievery Corporation, Miles Davis, Devin the Dude).
The only drawback is that there is no answer/end call button (there is a microphone mute switch and a volume control).
I'm not sure if your device is listed above (or a clone), but if so, I would imagine the Shure I Series with the Treo connector (i2cT, i3cT, i4cT) would work for you.
If there is no answer/end button, how do you answer calls?
If there is no answer/end button, how do you answer calls?
You have to use the buttons on the phone to answer/end calls. Some headsets have a button on the in-line mic that you can press to answer an incoming call, saving you from having to pull the phone from your pocket. The Shure I Series does not have this button.
I wonder if this one would work with the 8125?

... is what we need for those and other BT stereo cans to (fully) works, which is going to be a ways out. apparently MS is pushing for push email functionality over audio capabilities. i guess more people want push email ...
MDash,
Here is the response I got from Shure:
Hi Stephanie,
Our I series will be compatible with your Wizard. However, there will be some limitations.
The single jack version we have for smartphones is only completely compatible with the Treo 700W and 650.
The dual jack version is the one that will work with your Wizard. It is a stereo headset that is designed to work with two different devices at once - a cell phone and an mp3 player.
You can use the headset with your phone and answer calls, text message, etc. All of it's functions. You will also be able to listen to music via your phone. BUT...Here is the limitation - the audio will only be able to work in a mono sound for both ears. So you will hear the music in both ears, but it won't be true stereo.
The other jack, which fits iPods and DVD/CD players, etc. will work just fine on every portable device. You can listen to your music and as soon as a call comes in you just switch the headset to your phone and talk.
Hope this clears things up for you.

You say that yours sounds great, but that you just cannot answer a call with the button. Why is this rep giving me a different story. Do they just not have it together over there?
Well, I'm looking at getting some shure headphones to work with my Wizard and would really like for the sound to be stereo. I need to know if the Treo compatible version will produce stereo sound with a Wizard. The Shure site says the Treo version is Wizard compatible... If it is not then I might as well get the dual connector version and a 2.5-3.5mm adapter.
I dislike headphones not having a volume control so the standard shure E2C are not an option.
Shure i2C-t works, in stereo

I have the Sure i2C-t and it works great with my 8125 - no adapter - definitely gives stereo sound (Beatles songs are a good test for this) - the sound is awesome, and it works well for making and receiving calls also, except for having to push the buttons on the phone, as mentioned.

1. SUPER sound quality.
2. 2.5mm jack - I don't want an adapter.
3. Prefered Mic.
4. Prefered Volume control.
Can anybody post any useful items??
P.S. : Does anybody sell original Wizard headsets with Mic (mine is O2 Branded and I live in the UK)????
Thanks,

i have a nokia hs-16 headset and i'm very enjoy it hs-16 has three different cable to connect to 3,5mm, 2,5mm and 2,5mm nokia jack. i used a 2,5mm nokia cable and mic works good with my wizard it only doesn't have volume control...
ps. sound quality is very good for me
Hey, Thanks
How does the sound quality compare to the original headset? and Where from did you buy it?
Cheers
well stupid answer, but have you not just tried the o2 shop mohammed, thats where i got my last one from, about four months ago
No, I haven't. but I will give it a try and repost the result here.
Cheers
well, I searched in O2 UK shop but I found only blueooth headsets for Wizard, can you provide me a link for the ones you got?
Thanks
Mohammad
i never found mine online, i went into the o2 store, i have checked online and ,like you , have only found bluetooth headsets. I have found a link here though
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/10097.htm
it isnt the original o2 one, but it is Genuine i-mate JAM Stereo Personal Handsfree Kit
Yes, I've seen it.. I even found the original O2 ones, but the link is in my other computer..
but I am now searching for a Super quality 2.5mm headsets..
The only thing I saw in the market was the miniBuds Boxwave's headsets, but I don't know if anybody tried them?? are there any other brands?
I have a T-Mobile MDA and my headphones went dead a month or two ago. I just bought a replacement from e-bay. A simple search will bring many results. I think I paid about $5.

I bought from a seller called sami809
HS-47
I've just bought a Nokia stereo headset HS-47. It has a 2.5 mm jack, so I one can use it without adapter. The microphone and the answer button both do there job, but there is no volume control. The quality of the equipment is good, but the sound quality isn't that good. For a super sound I think you have to buy a HS-16.
bought what a seller told was an ome headset. got questions: im i suppose to hear from both left and right ear buds, and im i suppose to able to end or start accept call with the button next to the volume button onthe headset. wonder if i have open circuits on the headset jack on my wizard.
If you have the right headset, then you are supposed to hear from both left and right ear buds, answer incoming calls and end conversation by pressing the button next to the volume control.
If these are not the case, it doesn't necessarily mean that something is wrong with your phone or the headset. It might be that they are not compatible. That would mean the one you got isn't an OEM piece, or maybe it's OEM, but intended for a different device.

Maybe the headset is the wrong color, no wait I know your phone hates you and is secretly plotting to drive you mad and have you committed to an insane asylem and then join with my phone in its plot to take over the world. or it could just be as simple as there is something wrong with the headset who knows about these things??
i would expect such flaming wise crack from a senior memeber ; )

Cingular 8525 Stereo headset stopped working. Help.

I have the 8525 and last night I connected my stereo headset to the phone and instead of the sound coming from the stereo headset, the sound was still coming from the phone's internal speaker.
Everything else on the phone is fine except this. Any ideas or the feature is just dead on my phone?
hi! huhu dude! this is headsets hardware problem. i'm too this problems happened month ago. & i remakable the headsets motherboard, and now my stereo headsets works fine for me.
You just go to any masters for diagnostic.
