I would be so gr8ful if someone could make a ROM like the O2 ROm Wm6 for th older 02 Atom.... i need it badly...
I wonder why the atom life rom should not work into atom, the hardware seems almost the same..
I dunno. I've compared both the A-Life and Atom together. Despite having the Atom name, the A-Life is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT UNIT. Heck, it doesn't even have the same size. This is a different kettle of fish, unlike the one we had with Atom Exec vs Vanilla Atom.
(You could argue that the size could come from the 3G extension board they tacked onto the Atom board, but I highly doubt that is the case.)
I wonder that too. But I don't want to brick my Atom with Atom Life WM6 ROM. I think I could try that, but I don't know how to set the Atom to tri-color screen or hardrest it.
I've checked the Atom ROM life, it has a totally different ROM structure with ATOM. So, you can not just used directly. We have to port it to our device.

I've been pouring over this forum for a good hour now and i'm slowly loosing the will to live
It seems that there as several version of the atom and (to me at least) it is very confusing which rom will work on which device.
My phone is a MWg Atom life as show here

In the room "Atom Mobile 6" you can find several ROMs ready for ATOM Life.......... i have tried all, the best is surely PV ATOM 19701 6.1.0.7.....

MWG website should have it.. i get my O2 Atom Life WM6 rom at MWG website..
is it ok to replace O2 Atom Life ROM with MWG ROM? is there any conflict? such as radio, wifii, or other application? thanks for sharing

WM 6.1 Rom Upgrade.
Looks like both of us is looking for the same thing.According to Mwg the will released the new rom (but no idea when..perhaps in the near future).
What are the complication/s that you face using this device as I'm might be getting it.

I don't know why are they taking so long when some of the make/devices are already equip with it.
The current WM 6 in mwg is pathetic...but the funny thing is that Zinc II is pre-equiped with WM 6.1.Like i've mentioned in my earlier post..i don't expect them to have it out so soon.

Hi All, it time for you to be a cooker, Helloworld1's kitchen combining and XIP porting tutorial by G can be use for atom, use it to extract existing ATOM ROM to get the OEM, follow the tutorial of poting XIP, and for SYS you can extract it from existing wm 6.5.

people like sonblack are the gurus of the game. for a long time i was very sorry that i bought an o2 atom. but the power management cab and sonblacks 21014 rom has changedthe way i look at my phone.
where will you find this combination now wifi fm 2megapixil and 416mhz. only hi end very expensive phones have all these features. all other phones are 200mhz and no radio.

I accidentally did the same thing, upgraded my WM6.1 with TJ's WM6.5 for Atom EXEC... (oops)
Suprisingly, It runs very fast, Iam very excited with manila 2D and the sound is significantly louder than WM 6.5 by khoa (very happy with this). I havent try the Bluetooth yet.
However, it seems that the display has some problem, looks like in interlaced mode (see some horizontal line/texture) and flickering.
anyone did the same thing?

That's interesting! Can you tell me which one of TJ's ROMs you tried or which of them are OK to flash on my Atom? Now I am using Helloworld's WM6.1 R2 ROM for Atom.

Atom Exec WM6.5 to Atom - did not work
I installed TJ's WM6.5 for Atom Exec on my Atom. The installation was completed, but when it was time to reset, my Atom is not turning ON anymore. I thought it worked on your Atom? Do you have any solution for this?

yupz.... it will Works.
even the official wm5 for atom exec is work for atom.
and can be flashed back to original ATOM too.
use only os+extended rom upgrade, don't mess with the other stuff.
the most important is... don't play with the bootloader (EBOOT.nb0)

yeah me too, i think the display is broken, but its not, WM6.1 TJ for atom exec not support for atom black, try to upgrade with WM6.1 by kumara
