If the phone doesn't turn on at all, first check the battery and make sure its charged and all that. check and see if u get 13 volts on it using a multimeter. If this is then you probably bricked your phone probably because you flashed a G3 rom on ur G4 device. I just did that and that y im saying it. I sent it back to cingular and they reflashed the bootloader for me with no charge as it was still under wanrranty according to the serial number on my phone. I bought the phone off of ebay and i thought i didnt have warranty but i got lucky. good luck with ur stuff.

I am now in the same situation.
I cannot get into bootloader mode to flash wizard love (I had a sucessfull flash of XM6 on a CID locked G4 with shelltool then it stoped working after a reset)
What can I do? bought the phone off ebay, it was said it was 11 months old...
If anyones got any ideas, would apreciate the help.

thx about all your posts but i need a mother board main board coz the boot loader is corrupted and there is no solution either the jtags in my case so i will get to the factory or buy an another device or get a bad condition wizard o a motherboard of wizard

Boards run somewhere around US$175 (This was what the person at the service center told me). I would highly recommend you to send the phone in and ask them to just reflash the bootloader part. You wont need to get a new board. It would be much cheaper.
For the other person who got his phone off of eBay, mine is off of eBay too. Cingular still covered my phone under the manufacturers warranty even though I am not a cingular customer. So again, my suggestion is to send it in to get it fixed and you may get lucky like me and not get charged anything. They even changed the outer housing of my phone at no charge. No idea why. When you flashed the rom on your phone, you probably flashed a G3 rom on your G4 device. It will flash successfully but once u restart the phone, it wont turn on, not even into the bootloader mode. This means your bootloader files are corrupted. Exact same thing happened to me by mistake and I flash 5 or 6 different roms on my phone pretty much every day. mistakes always happen, good to know that there are ways to fix it and not have to buy a whole new device.
Hope this info helps. Let me know if you need any other info or help. Good luck.

thx for the info friend but in mexico is more dificult send it to the htc to the boot loadder but well i will try it with movistar also i was looking for a device or a mo therboard

How do I check whether my phone is under warranty or not and what is Cingular number to call ?
Please help, thank you!

newbie please help!

So this is the thing. I recently acquired a wallaby pw10b1 and as it is locked to T-Mobile in the USA, i would like to unlock it. in order to do so i came across this great site and read through a bunch of "experiences"(if you will) and was confident enough to try it myself. i went through the unlock wiz method of unlocking and what happened next i dont understand. i tried booting up a new OS i guess and now i dont have the original one, or the new one.
I know that i am fairly new at this but i think that if explained right, i can do it. Now I am in a forced state where i need to get this working again because the phone is my fathers and he needs it to work. i dont mind if i get the original t-mobile OS back on there or one that is unlocked.
If anybody can please help me step by step on how to do this i would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for all your time.
So what is the current state of your device when you power it up? What happens?
If you press the power button and do a soft resert, what do you see on the screen?
Stefan
you know what. i guess i got so frustrated with it that i fixed it. i don't know how i did it, but i know that i don't want to mess with it anymore. i actually installed the special rom edition one because it said that it came with a program to unlock it during startup but it didn't. i still have locked phone. but at least it works now.
i know this has probably been asked about 3,000 times, but if i got the 'can't get unlock code.... SID:' message, does anyone know how to get it unlocked even after getting this message?
thanks in advace and thank you lumpistefan for your interest.
So, you have currently installes the Special Edition ROM. Tjats ok. Whoch Radio Version do you have installed. Not all Radio Versions work for unlocking....

Broken screen, need to return phone

I have a sprint mogul 6800 and I broke my screen and they sent me a new phone but I have to send my phone back. I had a custom rom installed and downgraded back to the htc rom but I forgot to do the relocker prior to downgrading. Now when I hold down the camera and power button and reset it say 2.47 still. is there a way i can bet it back to 2.07 and return the phone back?
BTW I can not get into the phone since the screen is broken I can to get mogul thru the align screen.
What are my options?
Are you saying they sent you another phone (free of charge) before requiring you to send the broken phone back?
If thats the case just send the broken phone back, I doubt they could mysteriously charge you when they find out the broken phone was flashed custom.. It is their fault for just sending you a new phone and going out on a limb..
But I could be wrong. If you can at least power the broken phone on (even though you cannot see anything) you can put it in bootloader mode and go through the steps to re-lock the bootloader (you dont have to see screen just have some know how). So yea you can put the original bootloader back on there but you have to know how. I believe it depends if it was GPS or not when you got the phone. Say you have a GPS radio on there now and a custom bootloader (which is meant for GPS roms), and the phone came originally without GPS then you would have to flash the stock bootloader on, and then you have to flash that carriers stock NON gps rom back on there. Then if you really wanted you could upgrade to a newer version of that carriers stock ROM with GPS radio. You dont have to worry about the SPC code because the stock ROM will create a new locked one.
Done
I actually just did this exact thing a few months ago... as of yet, nothing has come of it. I wouldn't worry.
I heard 12 volts to the terminals will render the phone useless. It won't turn on anymore so it won't matter what rom is in there!
Same thing happened to me. The phone's screen was broken, but it would still boot fine, so i just installed a program called MyMobile on it and I was able to control my phone through the PC and relock and what not. Give it a try

I have mymobile but it mymobile does not let me align the screen, it has to be done thru the phone.
Any way I can put it in bootloader mode and put something in the card to flash?

You can. Just drop a .nbh file (either from a rom, radio, SPL, or whatever) into the root directory of a FAT32-formatted SD card and reset.

what do you mean by any .nbh file? This will relock the phone?
unlocked/locked phone returns
Has ANYONE ever had an issue by returning a phone that is unlocked or custom flashed?
Even IF they provider were to say something, you would just say "what?" I doubt most of the techs or store employees would even know what an SPL, or custom flashed rom is.
The only "customization" I would worry about is if the ESN on the sticker does not match the one in the rom (device) in the ##786 readings. (but even in this case, as long as the device's STICKER matches your providers information, you should be OK.

Insurance fraud sucks....but if commiting insurance fraud, and telling lies, why not lie that it is lost?
I hope that everyone who is commiting insurance frauds gets caught, that is why my rates are $7.00 a month, and now a $100 deductible. That is why they make it difficult for a legitimate claim as well, I once had to fax or mail in a notarized form stating that my phone had been misplaced. (they were upset that I could not pinpoint where between Phoenix and Los Angeles it disappeared. (I last used it in Phoenix, as I loaded my car, which broke down somewhere in between, and was towed home to Los Angeles. I suspect it ended up on the side of the freeway somewhere.)
Sorry for the begging but I would like to send this pjone back as soon as possible before they charge me for it.
I need a relocker

Did you look in the wiki? It has all of the tools to relock your phone there.
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=TitanStockHome
Steps II and III on there are what you need. Hopefully you can get this done without the screen!
Good luck
Whats the difference between 2.07 and 1.06? I read that 2.07 is with the sd flash and 1.06 is with usb... can I return my phone with either one?

[Q] Cant Delete Demo Content

can anyone please tell me howndo i delete the demo content that comes preloaded with the titan? when i plug in my tutan to the charger i get this windows 7.5 commercial running as a screensaver. can anyone tell me how to fix this?
You would need to install a retail/OEM ROM onto your device.
This would be rather difficult to do without HSPL on your device or without a properly signed ROM for you to flash onto your device.
The real question is, why did you get a demo model phone? You should take it back to wherever you got it and get an actual retail/non-demo device.
i purchased it from a friend of mine who purchased it from someone else. well being fora demo device, will this phone face any problems? what are the differences? and i cant i flash one of those eternity ROMS?
thankyou so much helping though
Hi
i was in the same situataion as you are in, this is either a stolen phone from the store meant only for display and not for sale or the store guys gave your friend a pretty good deal on the phone. anyways
I flashed the eternity 1.09 ROM for europe.
Just start the phone in the bootloader mode and run the RUU.
Thats all i did and my phone was up and running a retail NON-Demo ROM. when i plugged it into Zune i received all the secessary updates.
Hope this works on your titan too and sloves the problem.
do a hard reset
when the device turns off and back on
take the battery out
turn on the device in bootloader mode
and install the oem rom
let it work till done
So I have the same problem, ended up with a demo phone from Amazon, and I've tried many times to get a retail OEM flashed on the phone. I followed this thread in particular, downloading the ROM that matches my Radio version, (16.23.03.17) but no matter which RUU tool l I use, I always end up with the same error: ERROR [294] Invalid Vender ID
The readme's troubleshooting section tells me to get a proper matching RUU for my phone, but unfortunately my internet scouring abilities turned up nothing.
plz hlp
Phone details:
PI39100
SPL-2.1.160015.3(133679)
Radio-16.23.03.17
Yeah, still stumped. From what I can tell, I have to wait for someone to make a custom rom and hope it doesn't have the same compatibility errors. Should I just take it into an AT&T store and see if they can install a new OEM on it?
they wont be able to help you at an at&t store, i work at one, and the only way is to flash a new custom rom. they will only have the capability of flashing the retail demo rom onto it.
EDIT
and if you take it into an at&t store they would probably realize that it was stolen from their floor display and confiscate it, another store here ran in to that once a while back
---------- Post added at 10:35 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:29 AM ----------
in your situation aculem, id probably contact amazon and have them ship you a new phone. i actually ran in to the same thing when i got my titan from our store stock. the box was unmarked and looked just like any other titan box. but it had the demo content pre loaded on it. they probably just shipped you one thinking it was a retail device, not a demo, because the packaging is exactly the same
Unfortunately I have suffered the same situation with the Titan II. I bought this on ebay from this seller, and it was a demo. In the description of the lot that was not, and I realized it only after a day of use. Where are we now take the OEM firmware is not clear.
If you can send back for refund from either Amazon or ebay, do it. It is not worth your effort to try make it work. Unless you can flash OEM shipping firmware, you will be never able to get rid of the demo stuff and you will also not be able to upgrade to newer OS.

Seller not accept return but I will try to decide this problem.
In most cases, these demo units are stolen goods. Also, if seller didn't clearly label the phone as demo unit, you have a very good case to ask refund from ebay. Ebay will get your money back from the seller even if he doesn't accept returns.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA
The seller has agreed to take the phone back and return money or return part of money if I am agree to reflash OEM firmware. Therefore I have important question - after reflashing OEM firmware the demo phone will be identical usual absolutely on all functions (it can be updated, etc.)?
Correct. But make sure Who is going to pay if your flashing bricked the phone?

Nobody, seller will not be responsible for the phone when return part of money back he said. Correct it does mean that after succesfull reflashing the phone will be identical of not demo ?

If you can find the OEM firmware for that specific region of your phone, yes. I'd suggest you investigate the flashing procedure and whether or not you can find the firmware for your phone first.

I was searching the firmware (USA) but not found. If somebody help me it will be great. Maybe it is possible to restore OEM state from backup of OEM firmware ?

Nope. Backups are keyed to individual phones. Also, backups contain sensitive personal data. So it is no advisible to share the backup files.
I am also a victim, and I cant return the phone, anyone was able to do anything with it, please help. thanks in advance

Dead Moto Z!

Last thing i remember is my phone restarting everytime after flashing the 540mb OTA. So i did some stupid ****. First i did a factory reset from the stock recovery, the flashed the nougat firmware. Then i noticed that there was no internal drive, so i ran this code "fastboot flash partition gpt.bin" and my phone was dead after that.
So i took it to the service centre, and they told me that they're going to replace the motherboard. My only concern is the unlocked bootloader. After they replace the mobo, are they gonna see the unlocked bootloader warning?? coz if they do.. it'll be a mess :crying:
Surely the new mobo will have a locked bootloader again, and a new IMEI. It'd be like a new phone
Replacing the motherboard usually means an entirely new phone internally.
Which means it also has a different bootloader from the one you originally had. Chances are that it'll be locked and you'll have to unlock it again.
It's also a good idea from this point on to have a factory image for the stock firmware lying around in your desktop just in case an update causes a softbrick.

I do. I have both MM and Nougat firmwares on my pc. This time it was a hard brick. And i'm not going to unlock my phone this time. There's no way to relock the bootloader.
Just got a call from Motorola. They told me that my phone is rooted and it won't be covered under the warranty :'( And they're asking for 80% of the price of the phone to repair it. My only option is to get the motherboard from somewhere and repair it myself. Can someone please send me a link to buy the Mobo for Moto z?

OEM Unlocking

I bought a new LTE Galaxy Tab a few days ago (Hong Kong region) and after a couple of days days of using it, the S-Pen and screen started becoming completely unresponsive. I had configured some basic things on the Tablet, activated Developer Options and installed some apps, but I didn't have tine to get TWRP or root before it broke down. After taking it to Samsung and getting it back repaired 2 days later, they told me they had to replace the whole screen and also the pen. Somehow I had the feeling they simply gave me a new unit. Fine to me..
So today, getting myself ready to install TWRP and rooting it, to my disbelief, the OEM UNLOCKING option in Developer Options is gone! It was absolutely there before I took it to Samsung for repair. This means what? Did they exchange my original purchased tablet with one that actually has a locked bootloader? Or can I still install TWRP and root as before, or what exactly is this? Im pretty upset and confused.
Thanks a lot in advance for any insight on this
If it's the LTE version, it would have an IMEI number, no? Check the IMEI on the Tab with the one on the box, (assuming you didn't also give them the box) it will tell you if they've switched them.
I could be wrong, so you may want to wait for further confirmation, but if OEM unlock is not present, it should mean the bootloader is unlocked by default. Try flashing TWRP with Odin, if the bootloader is locked, it will just fail. Again, I'm no expert, just speaking from my experience, when I first flashed TWRP to my Tab S6, I forgot to unlock the bootloader, flash just failed with no negative effect.

Thanks for the reply. I try flashing it and failed. And I did give them box.. my bad I guess and of court I didn't write down the IMEI number somewhere before I handed them the package. How could I have known? I am almost sure they have me a whole new system even because the USB charging cable was wrapped again like when I first unboxed it. It looked 100% a new unit in the box, minus the detail safety seals that were already broken is there repair clerk handed me the new tablet. Plus, it they had simply swapped the stylist and replaced the screen, I would not see a reason for them to have completely reset the unit to the point of the default language being again Chinese instead of English (as all TGY variants are here by default) along with all the apps that I had installed, all of which were gone as well. there's positively no need to completely wipe out and reset the unit simply because they replaced the screen. Plus, locally thinking, being just a couple days old, I'm sure they didn't want to bother for possibly a long time repair turnaround for me and gave me a new one.
That the OEM UNLOCK toggle was there originally is a given because I was just about getting ready to Flash recovery and root it and had specially gone into Developer Options and toggled it along with the USB Debugging Switch. All Samsung phones and tablets in this region have unlocked bootloaders by the default. This is one of the reasons I keep coming back to Samsung because with other brands you either can't do it or it's a nightmare to get it done. Of course, good thing I did not Flashed recovery and root before the Tablet crapped on me because of course I would have voided the warranty. Also, now it's not like I can go back to Samsung and complain about the OEM UNLOCK issue because obviously no one is supposed to be rooting the devices or asking for help on the matter.
I'll do some more research on this and if I can unlock it.. hopefully. If not I will sell it and buy another one retail again. I'm super bummed.
Thanks again for the reply.
