Hi Guys,
with the Original o2-Rom and WM5 it was possible to setting up a Modem Connection via USB for my Notebook with the Tool "Modem Connection".
I want to Install my Prophet as Modem for my notebook.
How to do that with WM6 and the new Rom 4.0.0.0.4 PV?
Unfortunately theres no tool with that name...
Anybody ideas?

I have the same problem. I solve it in this way:
Set your network on PDA.
Open "Sharing internet"
Select PC connection Bluetooth PAN
Network -> your network (Vodafone for me)
CLick Connect
This way work for me...

The Bluetooth stack not support remote connection, I think...
Which way to discover my BT stack version?
If I pair my pda with my nb I can select Network dialup service...Is the service that I need?

I just flashed the ROM to the 2.06 (or whatever) version of the Hermes that has PTT. But the Wireless Modem program is GONE! I don't know if they took it out, or just haven't implemented it yet. Everything else seems to be there; it's this sole program that's missing. How do I get it back??
Old "wireless modem" has been replaced by "Internet Sharing" on newer (AKU 3.3) roms.
How do I access this internet sharing? Does it have the same features?
It seems that I shouldn't have used SPB Backup...I guess there's no way around re-installing everything. Thanks for the heads up.

Missing wireless mondem and no internet sharing
I am also missing the wireless modem icon under connections after upgrading my firmware, i also cannot find internet sharing.
I am still using WM5

Cingular's response to Internet Sharing
I just had a conversation with Cingular's tier 2 support on the Internet Sharing issue. He claims that you need to subscribe to their $59.99 internet package and not the $39.99 PDA package andsomehow magically things will work . . .
I am attempting to connect to an XP Pro acer laptop and the lapto does not recognize the handset as a modem when the internet sharing is 'connected' and I cannot find a driver that works.
The phone is new but I had to update it to the new Cingular ROM because it came with the old one that had the Wireless Modem app not the new Internet Sharing.
There has got to be a way around this . . . .!

Tnx, but I rebooted the 8525 and the XP Pro Laptop, then everything seemed to work. There was actually no setup required. Instead of working like my 8125 where there was a connect step, it sets up as a simple data connection automatically. The onlything i see is the phone connecting to GPRS when you hit connect! I hate cockpit trouble . . .
Is there any one who got USB DUN (Dial-Up Networking) working on Atom WM6.1?

I've been using every single WM5+6 ROM(s) released by Jiggs and others.
But unfortunately I've never tried USB DUN before.
I am using PDAVIET ATOM WM 6.1 CE OS 5.2.19716 build 19716.1.1.0 by Medk now.
I've gone through the famous http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333762 thread. But still I'm facing problem.
Here is what I've done
1. Installed USB Modem Driver by USBMDM.INF (pls check if its the right one). My PC detects my Atom as USB Modem. No problem with that.
2. I have configured "Modem Connection" in Atom which uses GPRS with correct APN, and I can use internet from my Atom without any problem.
Now what I do is,
1. Activate "Modem Link" with USB and the APN I've defined in Atom.
2. Create a connection in "Network Connections" of my PC using the "O2 USB Modem" and "Connect".
It fails... :-(
Any suggestion???
I have upgraded to wm6.1 from wm5 on my O2 xda atom. Now my phone modem is not detecting on my pc after I connect in internet sharing by usb.
When i select usb and click on connect, nothing happens on my pc.

U can use direct internet . Do not use mode. it's internet share but u want activesyns 4.5. sorry for enlish language.
I got the solution. Just turn on modem in internet sharing and conect to the computer. In network connection a new connection will show just like lan. Browse the net. It is slow on my gprs. I don't know how to set the tcp/ip. It is automatically detecting. So it is slow. Have to find a solution.

I'm new on the forum but it is quite a long time I read it. I'm italian.
I followed the guides to Hrd Spl and I upgraded my vodafone 1605 to WM6 using the Schap's rom 3.54 ITA and everythying is working fine. I have only one problem: when I had the original WM5 vodafone rom I was able to connect to internet using my Tytn as a modem as follows: programs>wireless modem>start.
Now, with the new rom I'm not able to connect to internet using the tytn as a modem but just by itself. When I connect my Dash using the USB cable, select the Internet Sharing option under Settings, it creates this "Windows mobile Internet sharing device" but this not allows mr to surf with my Laptop.
What can I do to solve this problem? I have tio downgrade again to WM5 or there is a possibility to solve this problem? Please let me know! Thank you so much
Have you tried...
After flashing your phone were you able to browse the web using the phones internet browser. If not then you are probably missing the data connection settings for your phone, once they are in place then the phone as modem/internet sharing option should work again. If you don't have those settings for your cellular carrier then you could always flash their rom back to the phone, lookup the settings, and then flash Schaps ROM again and input the network settings.

i am running a HTC LEO Branded by Vodafone on Win Mobile 6.5 Professional.

I was doing a Vodafone branded Rom-update 2 days ago.
Everything was fine just one thing went bad.
Before I was doing the update, I was connected with 2 wlan-server.
one server is based at home, one is based at work.
After the update I can´t see my wlan-server at work any more.
connecting with the server at home is allright and I also can see the wlan-servers of my neighbours but I can´t see my wlan-server at work even if I´m standing right in front of it. (On our laptops we can see the server and my friends also see the server with their smartphones).
Any Idea what I can do??
I tried to connect manually - no success
I tried to delete the connection - no success
I can´t even see the wlan-server in the list.
Is there any chance to change/delete something in the registry??
I tried to solve the topic with the help of htc but they have no idea because some server can be seen......
