Today i upgrade my I-mate PocketPC from WM2003SE (2.06) to WM 5.0 by Buzz. The process did very well and i got the Device HardReset. But when i connected my I-mate pocket to my laptop by Actrivesync 4.0 build 4343 i got the following problems:
1) My laptop created a new connection in Control Panel -> Network Connection -> Connection to local 2. Is that right or wrong ?
2) When i try to connect to my PPC it is nothing. Activesync not connected.
3) When i romove my PPC from the cradle and i open the activesync in PPC it said that activesync connected? Any1 tell me that is the held it?
Any1 tell newbie how to connect from my PPC to my laptop by Activesync right.

What Windows version are you running on the PC? XP with Service Pack 1?
Many users -including me- are unable to sync via USB with WM2005 because WM2005 needs a different USB driver that is part of service pack 2.
I use bluetooth to activesync.
Cheers

If You use wm6 or 6.1 please use internet sharing in windows mobile.
Hi!!!
What if one is using WM5???? I think MWG is really behind schedule with drivers. Its no point buying MWG phones if they can't keep drivers uptodate and easily available.

upgrade ur device to wm6
My daily system in my laptop is Ubuntu 8.04. Under the original AT&T Cingular 3125 wm5 Rom, I can connected my Cingular 3125 to my laptop XP system as a USB modem. Of course, I also can use Activesync to synchronize the contacts and email between wm5 and XP. However, after I flashed the rom to wm6 I can't make my 3125 as a modem anymore.
Now I read two threads about the connection of Hermes and Linux.

It is really cool. I just wonder whether I can connect my wm6 StarTrek to Ubuntu Linux?

hey guys need some help - whenever i connect my Atom exec for any upgrade the first thing it shows is connecting to my F drive, i follow all the steps of copyin all the files in windows C drive temp folder and then running the program but still it says connecting to F drive and then shows an error. Is it because im using Windows Vista coz i tried ths wit windows XP and my upgrade was done pls help as i cannot run it frm my laptop.
Thanks.
Yes it is due to Vista as differnt procedure required. My advice is to use XP and flash the new ROM.
