Does the cingular 3125 come with a built in GPS?
No, it does not.

What are the odds that when Cingular PTT is available for the 8525 it will also be available (supported or not) on the 3125?

PTT on 3125 same time as the 8525
There's a decent chance as long as they didn't use any specific UI features of the Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC ed. and they use VS 2005 to develop it for WM5. I'm going to give it a shot when it comes out. I have the 8525 and just got my wife the 3125, so I'll have both to test from. I know from reading about hacks to enable the 8525 ptt button for other things that they'll probably use the ptt.exe that that button currently calls, inserting in the new app when it becomes available. Hopefully we can copy over that exe and any referenced libraries and registry entries and be good.

NE1 heard any more about this?
I have an I-Mate JasJam with the JasJam rom and i'm heading back to Texas after tomorrow. I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has a JasJam and they are using it in the US with the Cingular rom. Are the symbols on the keyboard the same as the JasJam keyboard that has arabic+english? Also are there any problems you ran into with the cingular ext-rom on the device? (app or hard button problems.)
no one? so i'm the first!
I am using the latest JasJam ROM from the Wiki on my JasJam. I would NOT make the change to the Cingular ROM. I'm in New York and have been around the country with this ROM, and it is completely stable with great reception and significantly better battery life. I can't see the benefit to going with the Cingular ROM.
Does anyone know about the upgrade for the 8525 to make PTT work. I have a pearl now and want to go to the 8525 but have to have PTT for work. thanks
Hello all,
I know there is a lot of stuff posted on this subject through many threads but I was hoping to have a veteran summarize their impression on the latest things possible (ROMS and clients).
I have a Cingular branded G4 8125 with IPL 2.25.0001 / Radio version 02.25.11. I plan on trying the shelltool to put something generic or T-Mobile branded for T-Mobile use.
I want to use VOIP via Wi-Fi How do the VOIP solutions compare? (Skype vs. some of the generic VOIP offerings cooked into the different ROMS). If a particular ROM has superior quality which one do you recommend. Is VOIP worthwhile at all with the 8125 or is it just not practical?
Thanks in advance

i use skype.
its power hungry n slow but works on a WM5 G4 with a little extra speed boost from omap.
What stable WM6 ROM can I use to enable video calling on AT&T 8525?
Can I use the Official WM6 HTC TyTN ROM?
I already used the HTC Hermes SIM & CID Unlock.
I am using WM6 3.62.502.3 AT&T ROM
Tnx
you dont need a whole rom, you just need a 3g dialer
that being said, at&t does not support video calling, there's this new video share thing, but i dont think its the same thing
No Video call on 8525

There are lots of roms with video calling that will run on an 8525 but there are two SMALL problems 1 AT&T doesn't support video calling and 2 (the SMALLEST problem) the 8525 doesn't have a front facing vga camera for video calling you will need in addition to a good rom a vga camera (the smaller the better) next a drill and torch cut a hole in the front of your 8525 and install the camera next solder the leads to the main board of your phone oh yea GOOD LUCK
