The default setting of the HTC home is that it shows the number of unread mails and sms and missed calls. Is it possible to change this to show the number of tasks?
Yeah, I too hope that the HTC Home is user-configurable... maybe through a regedit, anyone?

It is displaying now about 8-10 "per page", you have to press each time "newer" or "older" to read older sms for example , any way to adjust this? e.g. display all sms chat history?

So you know with the messages and mail apps, when they are on the home screen, if you have unread messages or mail, it has the number of unread items displayed on the icon. If there a to do list app that has this, displaying the number of items in the to do list right on the icon on the home screen?

i saw posts about the "htc messaging" and searched up and down without luck and i hope someone can help me in this....
when i have the "htc messaging" enabled, new sms notification has the left softkey set to "hide" so i can dismiss it but i can't register the sms as read without entering the app.
however, when i disable the "htc messaging" (and go for the old "tmail.exe" and the old type of sms notification) I can save the sms as read easily and quickly without entering the app via the right "menu" softkey then "Save as read"
my wish is to find a way to enable the old notification type while I am using the "htc messaging" app!! or even an app to give a popup messagebox containig the new SMS and a 'save as read' button. I even thought of a mortscript that can do that but I don't have the knowledge!!
Can someone help me here???

Hi,
Does anyone know if you can specify a default phone type to dial (i.e. "home" or "mobile") when you swipe to the right on a Contacts entry? Sometimes it dials the home phone of some contacts, other times it dials the cell. Obviously if I only have one phone entry for a contact, it dials that. But I would like some control to specify "always dial the mobile," for example when I swipe to the right. Any ideas?
