I tried the Indian (SEA-English) version of the ROM. I dont see any difference in the ROM. Also I see that the Rom Version is lower than what we had before.
CE OS 5.2.1437 (Build 17944.0.3.1)
ROM Version : 2.19.707.4
ROM Date : 07/06/07
Radio Version : 1.45.00.10
Protocol Version: 32.78.7020.19H

Stuck On Boot Loader
Can you guys help me out, I was not able to do the upgrade because I git the error "invalid vender id". I read NOW that I need to unlock the cid first? I was trying to do so but I cannot get out off the screen that says SERIAL.
I tired a hard reset and it still goes to the same screen. Is there something else I can do??
Is the windows live working in this new version?

i think u need to flash the right version for yr model if u haven't unlock cid.

Thanks royalman, I finally got it out of the bootloader but now I cannot get it to do the automatic cid unlock. It freezes the x7500 when I run the SSPL-HERM. Am I using the wrong unlocker program> I downloade the Hard-SPL(2).zip but like I said it freezes. When I skip the SSPL-HERM file and go straight to the unlock app it does unlock the cid. Than I wait 10sec and soft reset. Than I try to install w6 and I STILL get the error "INVALID VENDER ID"
What am I doing wrong?

Got it working now,it's at 5 percent.
I ran into the same situation two weeks ago and the way out is to winrar the exe file and, while in the bootloader, use the update file for the ROM you previously had.

Yes you can. You need to use the ER2003 prgram (extended rom editor) to change operator name from T-Mobile to O2. Use search function if you have not used ER2003 before. Follow the instruction to carry out.
Please notice that there're some problems people met when upgrading to 1.72 Beta version. Be sure that you understand all procedure before carry out.
My IMATE is now ROM 1.72 run smoothly, stable (for 2 weeks). I've just upgraded my friend's O2II.

Yes. Are you just saying that, or have you got inside information? Just remember there has been one Rom upgrade (1.66) already which never saw the light of day from O2.

HTC is new in South Africa and have also just posted a new Rom for the TyTN. The details are as follows:

I downloaded last night and set it up today.
The issue I had with my Storage card dissapearing in the Media Player is now resolved. (posted on the Forum and received a temp. fix) I notice the MP is now version 10.2 and the MSSDATA ? file is gone for good.
So far I can't find any issues!

You have to upload the file here:

You can use any ftp program for example filezilla, with this info:

Cingular 1.31 is AKU 2.6, so this confirms the HTC 1.18.416.1 rom will still be an AKU 2.3.

It has bootloader 1.06 which does check the CID when you flash a ROM, if you plan to flash other ROMs not matching your CID in the future you should CID-unlock your device before flashing a ROM with bootloader 1.06.
I installed this ROM on my HTC TyTN, which I bought end of July, i.e. one of the first available devices. It works OK, no problems with installation, everything is done automaticly after starting the *.exe file on PC with explanation step-by-step what to do.

If your bootloader version is 1.04 you should better CID-unlock it first, after CID-unlocking you can flash it safely.

Sorry to ask again, but doing this bootloader mode thing WILL NOT delete any
thing that I have on the phone, right ? To exit the boot loader, just turn the
phone off ? "reset with stylus" - you stick the stylus into the small hole next to the USB socket?

I downloaded Hard-SP-V7 and installed it to my SoftbankX01HT then did the radio upgrade to 1.54.07.00
After finishing,it say that the upgrade was successfully and the phone is restarted,But I have checked the radio version in my device information that nothing has changed and still in 1.14.01.10

hey i just hspl my leo and yes it show it correct then i tried with custom rom with sd card method after 100% it doesnt reset itself and when i did it it just stuck at htc logo what happen??

you should download the rom from htc site regarding your serial number from the phone. and if it says something like not for you device, then .. it is NOT!
in that case try different region, brand .. for me my phone is vodafone - germany. so until i get branded vodafone-germany rom i stuck with the old one.

maybe, but probably NOT!
go HERE, scrool all the way down, enter the serial from your phone, and if it allows you to download, then yes. otherwise NO!
but if the serial is not ok, means your phone is NOT wwe ! (Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device!)
Hello, i have installed WWE 1.66 ROM. Now i have exclamation in triangle on boot and i got 00028002 error when i try to flash anything.
Is there any way to figure out, which HD2 i have? I got error on HTC page, but i doubt that my country have any special type HD2.
Should i get HSLP and the flash any ROM? I guess there is high risk of bricking it in that state.
I had ROM from my signature before i flashed (i got phone with that ROM).
EDIT: flashed back RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_1.48.479.1_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship and it works.
Are three any differences between EastEurope LEO and General LEO other by different ROM codes?

Does HTC Offcial 2.54 ROM for TD2 Available? I have see about 2.54 in HTC site for their SMS Update, so that mean that ROM exists?

Hi,
India HTC site does not give 2.53. You have only option for 2.17 from official site. May be if you go to Service Center they will install 2.53 for you .
But if you like you can get these official ROMs from http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=windows mobile&model=Topaz site and install 2.53 which is very stable and good one and has latest Radio ROM too.
Reg Backup::
Yes you can take backup for you contacts, calender, Task and SMSs before you upgrade.
For Contact: Create a Outlook profile and sync your mobile so that the new profile will have all your Contacts, Calender, Task etc.
For SMS: Use "My Phone" application on your mobile and Sync online to Microsoft My Phone for SMS. (of course you can use My Phone to sync every thing online).
But I prefer only SMS for myself

Phew! The service center refused to flash official ROM since I had my device HardSPL'ed. Had to do the mtty myself. Luckily it worked. Thanks to MysticGenius for coming up with the tutorial.

The HTC mobiles are locked to a region so that the official ROM released in that area will work for that device.
Now as you have use official ROM from another region or may be any Cooked ROM, so you need to have HSPL installed before you use any other ROM on your device.
You can get all info about HSPL here:

Note: By doing HSPL you will lose your warranty, if there.
