Does anyone have a working solution for YouTube on the 6800? I've searched everywhere and tried everything implied, but I still can't get it working. I've tried all the flash video packs, TCPMP, WMP, HTC Streaming Media Player (which won't cook for some reason, I get errors.) Nothing is working. And I love youtube. And i Need it! It's how people that should never be remembered for anything are remembered for something. And I have long breaks of downtime at work.
So if someone has a working solution, would you please do a short writeup or post the files here? Thanks
I use TCPMP and Flash Video Bundle. You need to get the new flash video bundle to do this because youtube changed some stuff.
Found my information here:

Search for youtubeplay it just came out. Works pretty nice, fastest way to play them yet.
I use skyfire browser and it works with no additional DL's, hollowood.com, any trailer on "those sites" and I can go to flash sites with no issue.
I never got any of those DL's to work on my 6800, so I just use the browser.
skyfire.com
ok so I got youtubeplay and it works good. thanks!
kickass
I'll have to try youtubeplay. Looks promising.
The only thing is that it only plays youtube videos, while the TCPMP FlashVideoBundle also plays video from other sites as well.
i def like that tcmp/flashvideo does other sites, and lets u download the video, but the interface of youtubeplayer is nice. def better if u know what ur looking for. someone posted this comment in the youtubeplayer thread, but it would be nice if eventually, the interface was improved to look more like the shhh....iPhone, but im sure it will improve anyways
tcmp/flashvideo best out there!
dont guess you would post the skyfire installer? the web site says the beta testing sign-up is over.
Thanks.
Skyfire requires you to register and asks for your mobile number. When you try it on 2 devices it tells you to deactivate Skyfire on your other device to use it on this one. Sorry or I would post it too.
Try this one, works for me.. also works for watching TV in full screen.

That cab does not install on my 6800. I copied it to my storage card and clicked on it - get an error message saying it did not install.

Skyfire remains as a locked beta and is not open to public use. Your bragging ain't helping one here in the now..
Try downloading vtap, it gets videos from tons of sites, and is easy to use. Its interface is similiar to that of the Iphone, and I have been using it alot, it works well.

youtubeplay is a very promising YouTube Player in development by milesmowbray located here:

How bout youporn ? Anything play those???
The new beta youtube player is very basic but fast software. One another way it to search for youtube through orb and simply play any youetube video in any player of your choice.
I had some issues with my phone i think, When i use any Navigator, like skyfire or the default navigator, i get this warning "The javascript is disabled in your navigator", but it is ON, well it only show this when i try to watch the site in the mobile version (fayerwayer is an technology news blog like gizzmodo) i came to think it maybe the Firmware i had, i have the 026, but maybe have some issues, i tryied to follow the tutorial from above, but i get an error about something like java do not exist or something (i do the patch for java) but still have the same error, beside it cofuses me that the tutorial is for X10i phones , and i have an X10a :S. Now another issue i have in my phone, i can't watch videos from Youtube HD on my phone , and i can try to load it, but always get an error... If someone can watch videos from youtube HD with the youtube app on the phone could tell me what he do?
PS: sorry my bad english ? xD
Hi.
Our phones aren't Java enabled which is why you're having issues with your browsers, and the YouTube app streams the content so not sure why that isn't working for you.
thanks for the reply,
i didn't know about the java, and i had to researh about why isn't streaming the youtube videos in HD...
Thanks again
I'll start off by saying that I already searched for other threads like this and I formatted everything and reset to default settings, everything still lags like hell. Other threads say "cant play back 1080p videos" well I can't use the youtube app or the web to play videos in "hd" setting on the app or even 720p on the web. I get fps drops to like 10 every 40 seconds or so. So my question is has anyone found any solutions to this problem yet? I hate apple but find it funny that they can provide a better experience on youtube (a site owned by google)
Sorry if this is the wrong section, but thank you in advance for any help.
Ok. I just got through searching the forums and the net and came up empty handed so I am going to guess that this is not possible right now. But just in case I'm wrong, I thought I would post my question here where the experts live. Here's the question:
Q. Shy of downloading the video and playing it back with a different application, is there any way to change the playback speed of a YouTube or embedded video upon first launch in Android?
I have explored the html5 route and no Android browser I found can do this.
I also explored some different applications claiming to offer this but none were actually able to change the video playback speed without first downloading the video.
I have something like this for my PC now. It would be very nice for my GN3.
Thanks.

I really want to know this too. Surely a solution exists now?
The latest Firefox for Android supports variable speed playback on pluralsight.com. Nothing else I tried would.
Hi,
I'm not sure if I'm just using bad search terms or what, but I haven't been able to come up with anything.
I know something similar must be out there! Apologies if it's easy to find and I've just overlooked it...
What I'm looking for is a Video Recording/Camcorder App that streams live to YouTube, G-Drive or even my own Server.
Just want to be able to shoot video and have it safely stored offsite immediately...
(Not like the stock camcorder app that let's you share and upload the video post shooting)
I mean if someone grabbed the phone out of your hand whilst recording, it would still be there.
Does anybody have any suggestions, I'd really appreciate any help!
Thanks,
Bren
