can we do this a simple way please
in this thread only upload splash screens and not discause them
when you upload a splash screen just upload the nk.nbf file
I upload the tool to flash the splash
The SplashFlasher.zip atached to this post
this will make it simple for everyone
6 steps changing splash screen:
1. download SplashFlasher.zip and extract to a folder
2. download the Splash Screen you like
3. replace the nk.nbf in the splashflasher folder with the one you download
4. conect Prophet to PC... wait til it sync's
5. run ROMUpdateUtility_NoID.exe and follow the steps on the screen
6. you will see a mesage that it will take about 10 min to complet but it take about 30 sec phone restarts itself
now you have a new splash screen
And to everyone uploading splash screens
upload the nk.nbf in a zip or rar file named in a way that it's eacy to know whats inside exemple vistatheme.zip or starwars.zip
and a screenshot of how it looks
Code:
[ATTACH]47444._xfImport[/ATTACH]

RUU for Vista
Again I stumble into the problem that the RUU that's used doesn't work with Vista.
I do have a newer version that works allright, but when I copy the NB file to that folder, the RUU can't read it and ends with a file-read error.
I attach this newer RUU to this post, I hope someone can look inti it. It seems that the nb file has to be made "newer" as well.
I don't ask you to solve my issue, but if some can point out the direction for me... it would be nice! Perhaps we can tackle the longrunning Vista issue here.
gullum sorry to bother but how do i replace the welcomehead.96.png with a new one? i cant seem to overwrite any file already in the rom.
Did you try using the cab file to install it?

WM6 for charmer takes a lot of time - and we have to relax as well. So I will post some splashscreens for our devices...
They are in 320*320. Why if charmer has only 320*240 screen? Simply because you may start charmer also in landscape, not only in portrait mode. WM leaves top left corner of image in the top left of screen. So if you will use 320*240, you will have horrible white strip on the right side of screen.
HOW TO INSTALL SLPASHSCREENS:
It's simple.
1) Just rename the one you like to welcomehead.96.png
2) Yes, there are TWO dots in the name!!!
3) Copy it to your \windows folder
4) Softreset machine...

WTF? DELETE THE FIRST POST FROM YOUR REPLY. IMEDIATELY
If you want to ask something, ask. But why do you include images from previous post? Use your brain in the future, it will be great...
If your question was meaned like "where is the download?" the answer is simple. Nowhere. Try to use right button on your mouse and save the image manualy.
Another splash screen
Hey guys, I've made another splash screen based on Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
I've made it my default OS splash, and trying to make it work with the boot flash (still have the crappy T-mobile stuff). Lovin' it
Feel free to modify or use as you please....
Another one...
Here is another one i just knocked up... enjoy!
P.S. if you want any customisation then give me a shout!
Just Convert to a PNG file then rename (as first post) before copying to your device
Well, now that my Raphael is finally coming to me, i'm going to put my attention here...
First of all, give thanks to all ppl that contribute to this kitchen (read first post), and all of you that help to make better with your feedback and suggestions...
As JugglerLKR say in first step, this is a adaptation from KaiserKitchen to Diamond and Raphael. So don't wait an spectacular GUI, is as simple as the first version, a script with the tools needed in a folder. This way we can upgrade individual tool when needed...
This is the v0.6 (second version for Raphael). I have rewrited the script in a single file starting with the Alex's modification over the original batch files from version v0.3 for Kaiser. (many thanks Alex's for his works over the original script...)
The kitchen have three basic steps, first you need extract a base ROM to modify. Second you need to modify the extracted content (easy cause is package organized). Third you need to cook the modifications you did. The result of the whole process is a NBH file you can flash with RaphaelCustomRUU (included in the ROM). Of course you need the HardSPL before do this (not indluded in the ROM, you can get here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410150)
Now all functions are in one menu...
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The first option allows to extract the XIP and OS content from a ROM (shipped or dumped) and make packages to make easy the next step...
Next image show the extraction menu with shipped and dumped ROM
Once you get the content extracted, you will have a set of folders inside the kitchen like the next image...
OEM folder have the OEM part of the OS. ROM folder have the original OS.NB file and XIP extracted part. And SYS file have the SYS part of the OS.
Next step is to cook the ROM after you have introduced the modifications to the future ROM. Next imagen shows the cook menu when you can choose Bepe's BuildOS or Ervius one.
Once you have finished with the cook step, you can flash the NBH file you will have in the kitchen folder named RUU_Signed.NBH.
In the (m) More Options menu you have the cooking process step by step if you want to take more control over the process...
This are basics steps, so feel free to make any recomendation, suggestion or any other question related to the kitchen that allow us to make it better.
Link to the Kitchen:
http://rapidshare.com/files/146058925/Raphael_ROM_Kitchen_v0.6.rar
Read the TXT file inside to get the pass.
Waiting your feedback, guys.... thanks...
Cheers.

so we need to flash this if we will try?
reply...
Only if you want the first and second splash, too! For the third Splashscreen simply copy the welcomehead.96.png into Windows folder and overwrite the existing one!
Try the nk.nbf, I have some original Provider splashes for waranty reasons!
flashed it and its good... though thing just replaced the White HTC boot screen but atleast its a good way to change this tiring default welcome screen..
steps:
1. Flash using RUU depending if your G3 or G4
2. Replace Welcomehead.96 of OS by copying and pasting the attached welcomehead.96 using activesync or Total commander...
thanks again
NOTE: its not animated
)
Animated GIF needs HTCAnimation included in ROM by default and it's eating ressources on such a small dimensioned device like our Prophets!
From my view an animated bootscreen is a waste of ressources!

ps. i made that note so others who expect an animation like the one in the first post be informed.
Do you mean that the first and the second splash screen are animated on
this (nk.nbf file) ???

No, but it looks like a DOS prompt! ^^
If you have installed HTC Animation (search XDA) you can set an animated GIF to be showed during bootup sequence! And if you have the right version installed, you can set a bootup sound, too!
ThanX man, looks great, i flashed it

Quick way of making your own
Quick way to make your own is to edit image without extracting the zip in linux or windows <<< i think
right click on zip
open
do not extract
open
when the window opens
double click on boot folder
then right click on image
open with gimp image editor
if you dont have gimp i really think you need it i love it lol
when window open with image
click edit then clear
then drag and drop the image you want there move center shrink or strech edit the image
click save
not save as but save
it will ask you to update zip
click update
done
rename it
This post is for people that dont have linux or gimp and want to give moboot some shine flash and go types lol
I screwed up. I downloaded the blue command jpeg copied it to /boot and renamed it to moboot.background.tga
Now TP won't boot. I can get to USB mode.
How can I put the proper moboot.background.tga that I have downloaded. Push it with adb?
Or,
I still have a backup of another moboot theme in that boot folder called moboot.background.bak. How can I deleted the current moboot.background.tga and rename the .bak to moboot.background.tga?
EDIT:
Using Webos doctor to repair and I'll be fine from there
Hi,
I've build the mini-recovery-android, which only starts tytungs backup/recovery program... You don't need an other recovery, where you must scroll and chose through the menu/directories/...
I've only tested it with original htc-WinMobile-6.5 ROM (and "dimdimdim" reported, that it works with magldr, too).
Installation:
download the attached zip-file View attachment recoverytytungbackup.zip, extract it and copy all files to the SD-Card in the directory "/recoverytytungbackup/".
download the great Tytung backup program (or from his NativeSD Touch Recovery website) and copy the zip-file in the root-directory of the SD-Card (folder "/").
start my tool Multiple Android-Starter (WinMo 6.5 + NativeSD-Android) and boot into "recoverytytungbackup"...
Tool "Multiple Android-Starter":
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
...now, after round about 15 sec. the backup/recovery-tool is started...
If you don't want to use the "Multiple Android-Starter", you can also start the "WinAndroid.exe" in the folder "/recoverytytungbackup/" (or start clrcad.exe and then haret.exe in the same directory).
Note: This is the very first release with hard coded folder and zip-files. If we all want to have an other folder, other tools or other things, let us discuss.
Please test it, if it works on your phones and give me a feedback...

yes, you can run it from SD-card... but I don't have tested it with magldr (only tested with "haret.exe" and my tool from WinMo)... maybe it run, too. Can you give us a report, if you want to test it?
