Perhaps I am being naive ... - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Accessories

Being new to this I have been doing a fair amount of reading with regard to flashing a rom and the dangers etc...
From what I read, bricking tends to be caused mostly by failure of the usb connection.
Would it not make sense to update from the card slot?

I've flashed a fair number of times and never had a brick. I suggest you just ensure you've got battery power, read the instructions carefully, stick to legitimate roms, and don't pull out the USB cable in the middle of a flash.
So long as you do that, you should normally be safe. Flashing is a manufacturer sanctioned process. We just tend to live slightly closer to the edge with what we flash.

You may have heard some of us talk about our mysterious day-jobs. Now is the time for us to tell what we've been working on. We've been creating an encrypted telephone, in software, on the XDA.
The following links tell more:

thumbs up
That's impressive.
Good work ... do not have such a requirement for now but it's good to be out there.
And since "our" developers are in front line ... it's even better.
Decebal
This CryptoPhone reminded me about a question I 4got to ask...
When ever i make a call, for about the first 5 seconds (sumtimes longer or shorter)... I can hear other ppls conversations....so i was wondering, is there any software to make the device into sum sort of scanner? 8)
I dont think I will be ordering one as the price seems to be aimed at industrialist multi millionaires and the like. I do admire the fact that the spooks have no access but I dont know how long that will last as I am sure that as we speak some beaurocrat is wording the legislation to outlaw it on the basis that it threatens security or some such nonsense.

this is the 1st rom i use..
The flashing instructions are on the first page of the thread you linked to. If you need more detailed instructions that those (which are brief but absolutely clear/to the point), I'd question whether you should be flashing that rom at all (and probably any other custom rom).
i just don't know whether i need to root it to firmware XXLSJ or not..or i just can straight go to download mode and flash the .zip file from the page that I linked?
Right. I want you to copy & paste the first line after the heading Install Instructions from that thread in your next post.
My suggestion that you leave your phone stock & don't mess with it stands. Lest you end up like the person in my sig (I.E with a busted phone).
This is ridiculous It's getting worse each day here^^

You've had battery problems before right? Have you solved that? Did you followed the steps i posted there? More information please

I took phone to service and they exchange me micro-usb module. Now i can charge phone to 100% without problems but i noticed my CPU is always 40%-99% and sometimes when i send files via mass-storage to pc my connection is breaking with error in Windows 8.
You should take your phone to service again, looks like they haven't repaired your phone fully
It look like this

Well, 41 C is a bit too much but it won't do any harm if your battery life is alright, you can either go to service or try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2532929

[ask] charging problem

help guys i can't charge my phone in the OFF position, when i plug the charger on the phone, my phone ON again and start charging, i using miui v5 14.1.17 in my ktouch lotus 2 (titanium s1 , kiss u86),
so, I always charge my phone in ON position, whether it shortens the life of my battery? any help will be appreciated!!
From my own personal experience, charging while the phone is on should be no problem at all. The only thing that could cause trouble is if you use it frequently while it is charging.
oke thanks, phenom2122
but anysolution regarding my question above? whether the problem is in the kernel? or what?
sorry for my bad english, i use gtranslate
I would have to say yes, although that is an educated guess. Does it boot up completely all by itself when you plug it in? There was a trick to do this with Nokia smartphones. So when you plug it in, it does boot up certain services..
I would suggest that you look for information on MIUI in particular, it will have something to do with them. Or if you are comfortable with it, try a custom kernel.
Solved
program solved
just add this to build.prop

[Q] Hard-bricked Rezound! WTB cheap unbrick service.

After three years of reliable service, my Rezound is now hard-bricked. My extended battery case tends to shift around a bit as the battery heats up (the locking tabs are worn down) and the phone lost power DURING EMMC formatting, due to the cover popping off enough for the battery to come disconnected. After putting the battery back in place, no power, no charge LED, no USB connect sound in Windows, no ADB or Fastboot response.... JUST DEAD.
I was preparing this phone to give to a friend since I just got a One M8, but I doubt he wants a brick. I looked online for unbrick services, and it seems that a $50+shipping JTAG/RIFF unbrick is just not cost effective (the phone goes for $60-80 on Swappa).
Can anyone here find it in their heart to unbrick this thing at a VERY low price so I can give it to a cash-strapped friend? If not, into the lake with it! :crying: :crying:
