Is there a program the allows you to use the camera light like a Flashlight? Without having to load the camera program and then turning it on?
Any help would be nice b/c it is a good light that i would use more if it was more accessible.
Look HERE and read
Please don't burn out your LED. Use it for 30 secs or so bursts only...

yeah i just use the screen itself as a light, usually if its dark enough for a light that works well on full screen brightness.
saves on the LED too.

Hello,
I was wondering if I could turn off that standby light without having to turn off the MDA, so that I still can receive calls, it saves some battery and it wouldn't light up my bedroom while sleeping, sometimes annoying
Thanks!

There are plenty tools who can do that trick, (search for something like, screen toggle !)
Have you tried holding the power button down for 2 seconds?
I want to ask you, if you know how to turn off the flashing of the green light of the XDA II? Or the Bluetooth, cuz I hate to see it flashing. 10x
it doesn't work with screen toggle
it really dont use very much power to blink a led that way

Running Scotts ICS Standard ROM, not sure if it matters or not, and I'm having a real hard time with indoor pictures taken with flash on. Unless I jack down the ISO manually to 100 or 200 most of my pics get blown out. Has anyone else had this issue? I wish I could control how many LED's are used for the flash with the camera, but I doubt that's an option or if it is, something that would be easy to implement.
Here's an example I just took of my son, you can see his face is completely white-washed

Start with getting off Scotts outdated ROM.
Also I do believe there is an LED control app for pictures in the market. I'll try to find it.

People really don't use the flash because it does that.
Just turn your exposure up.
Is there a normal camera app which uses the leveltool in android?
Why? because i see lots of pictures with an angled horizon, caused by holding the phone under a slightly angle when taking pictures. (including myself)
The only apps which use this feature are the panorama apps. It starts working from the second picture till the last. I'd like to see an app which has this feature by single shots.
thnx
Here's an example of what i mean:
Take a look at the waterlevel. It's not straight. I's diffiult to get that horizontal. A gridline with a beep would be nice. I noticed on my default camera app there's a tiny gridline. i can't see it in this conditions.

Hi,
Today, the image of my Nexus 9 tablet suddenly was only half visible.
The backlight is still working, because on the edges I can see light.
The touchscreen works, also on the dark part.

Anyone know how I can fix this?
Rob
I suppose you could try to flash a factory image but I think it may be a bad screen.
Hi Rob,
I got the same problem than you.
Did you manage to fix it?
Thanks.

I just got this new phone and turned it on 3 hours ago.
I found that camera (stock) always runs in background. Any solution to disable?
sorry, I posted on the wrong section.
