There seems to be a modified version of DSUU that do not have any limitations...

4.find the file "pass.32"
5.Use ultraedit-32 to open it
6.Check first line,u will find "WWE"
7.Change "WWE" to "CHT" then save it.
8.Go to next step, u will pass the phone-check.
9.About 15 mins, u atom life will be the WM6 ENG.

As you can see, I have an Imate version...
1.60WWE version and I would like to upgrade to 1.66142FR and something more recent like that...in french ! ;-)
- Is there any problem to take a Qtek ROM for example on my Imate ?
- Is there a problem to change ROM for language interest ? I have an english one and I'm interested in installing a french one !? ;-)

no as long as it is the qtek2020 rom you put on then no
they are the same device hardwarewise

Someone told me that "ROM exe file" is looking for "Device Information" before upgrade ? Is that true ?
Is there something that allow to verify if device is defined as "Imate" or "Qtek" or "XDAII"...?

Do you have a FTP where I can UL for you? it's 24MB

Hi to all from Greece i'm new here, congratulations for the forum very good work!
i have one problem with my q-tek s100,i have done a terrible mistake.... i wanted to update it and i put wrong rom in it.. :X i have put dutch version omg.. my s100 is in greek but i thing i can install it US version? So when i try to install diferent rom it disconects from pc and it goes to screen 'usb or serial and down version 1.0'..How can i unistall it? Plz help. :'(

don't worry, your device just stuck in bootloader mode caused the rom that is incompatible with the device ! try to reconnect to the PC and flashing with the official rom which can be obtained at http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=windows%20mobile&model=Himalaya

i should find program: HimaUpgradeUt on www.google.com and some English Rom, there is Url:

unrar exe file with rom copy HimaUpgradeUt to folder with rom when Pc ask that You realy whant to replace file say yes.
Go to Bootloader mode by presing Reset + powerkey + navikey
connect xda to usb and run himaupgradeut on pc
then do it what is on your pc screen

You can get your device to function in English by flashing the ROM.
Roms can be downloaded from O2, T-Mobile, iMate or from this site if you want something more than just the standard stuff.

To get in onto your device follow the instructions by dcs in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=12101
You will need a minimal knowledge of german to find out the specifics of your device (the part where you need to run HimaUpgradeUt.exe), but a onlien translation tool should be more than enough to do the translation

how about if you flash a rom in english? that's what i would do.
another way is to install real vga (lets you change the resolution and the langueage)

From those pre-technological dark ages there is something called dictionary!!! Some visionaries put those in Internet and now can be found many spanish-english dictionaries online.

flash pk 3.0 ROM its fast (i bet faster than the rom you currentlly have), has more options and its better overall and the most important thing it's in english.
download if from here

first put the olipro spl so you make your expensive athena in a nice brick.

You forgot to mention to him that it's VERY important that he has a fully charged battery before he performs any of the process mentioned to him. And to make sure if he's doing it from his laptop that it's also running on AC/DC and not battery power. Come back and tell us about PK 3 which by the way I use (Fast and Sweet)

i tried guys to instal hard spl... i follow the steps till my athena ask me to install enter bootloaderexe and then jump spl exe, and after nothing.... error 260 connection...
i thing i have seen on the screen SPL 1.01 .... or something like this into bootscreen for 1 second....maybe i have to use RUU WRAPPER ?

i just bought dopod s600 from china from china mobile. now ive tried putting simcard from indonesia and it works really well... (does that means i dont have to unlock it anymore?)

at flashing hardspl, i dont really get the point number 8
how do i flash the hardspl 1.15 ? if i run the romupdate utillity, from folder flash-uspl-niki , i didnt get any result.. its just reformatting the phone...

i want to use TOM_Niki-Project_WM6_1.1_WWE_16keys_signed_Ship_s600 ROM... but when i run it, it cannot detect my phone ... do you know why ?
Did you flash HardSPL?
For flashing another rom (English) you phone must be unlocked for flashing(HardSPL)
next step is downloading ROM you want, and flash it.
Go to bootloader (Power off device, press and hold "Camera" button, power on device) and try flash again. If it doesn't work, probably you usb cabel is brocken.
