GAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to start my post with a Loud wierd sound but this is doing my head in!
I have been using my little Trust Wireless mouse (came with its own wireless Dongle.) and its GREAT but SO annoying!
Everytime I start/exit certain applications my pointer disapears, then I have to unplug, replug my wireless adapter! (its still there just invisible...)
This is actually ruining my experience and its making me use my PC more than I want to just to do silly little things when I have my Ameo with me all the time!
It happens with my MS wired mouse as well
This ALways happens when I exit TCMP or Core player!
HTC audio player is OK! Hubdog is Ok, Memmaid is OK. GS player is OK.
Opera is OK........
The more I check, the more I realise that this is ONLY relating to These 2 applications!
Does anyone else experience this? Or is it just me?
Maybe something to do with the ATI driver within TCMP and CORE and the Mouse driver.....I am going to switch to RAW frame buffer in my apps and test....
OH! Here we go! It works now, when I exit the app I still have a mouse pointer......BUT!!! WTF, My audio is coming out my headphones AND my device!?!?!?
Ok....Soft rest....
Try again...
Well, it seems to be as simple as that.
I cant use the ATI imageon driver for movies (seems much smoother) and expect to keep my mouse pointer when exiting either TCMP or CORE player...
Anyone experienced this and found a Fix>?
Best wishes to everyone....
I thought this was due to overlay, might be wrong.
if you unplug the mouse and then plug it back in it will come back.
my bluetooth mouse hasnt any batterys at the moment, but ill bet if you run it with rawframebuffer it wont dissapear.
ok read your post again, you tried rawframebuffer. that means its an overlay problem with ati. overlaying the video on the screen means the mouse will get covered up, its still there you just cant see the pointer. unfortunatly i dont even know if this would go away if there is a fix for the ati chipset
I simply unplug and plug the mouse again... isn't a big problem IMHO

I picked up very simple usb gamepad (stealseries 1gc) since my usb mouse and kb worked with zero configuration. I was looking for an alternative to the pricey wii controller, and something a bit smaller than a usb keyboard. Unfortunately it did not function out of the box.
Does anyone have any recommendations to get it working? What should I try or do? are there any non market apps that may get this working?
EDIT:
I can imagine that something could be rigged up since this guy did it.

We already have a USB port to accesss.... the question or problem is support for other than thumb drive or key board.....nothing else seems to be suppported including mice and game pads......
i think it might be lost effort trying to figure it out. i thought it might instantly be recognized as HID. My wireless (RF not BT) microsoft mouse worked without any modification, though i didnt see the point to using a mouse.
USB Gamepad Drivers?
There hasn't been any activity in this topic, so i thought i would post thread i came across. Sorry that it could not be a hyper link, but the mods on the site will not allow you to post external links untill you have 8 post or more.

This doesn't work, but I wish it did
Instead of starting a new topic, I thought I'd just post here and ask if anyone's had any luck in this regard. This device is so unbelievably ripe for emulation, and its a total shame that even with a standard USB port, no one has figured out how to use a gamepad yet.
I've got a bluetooth gamepad with 6 buttons, the BGP100. Unfortunately, you need to buy a $10 driver from the market (MMG Gamepro). After all that, I'm playing Street Fighter II and NBA Jam TE like it's 1996
There's another thread regarding the use of Wii controllers via bluetooth. I was able to get the two Datel Retro Wireless Wii controllers off ebay for $26 (I got lucky).
PlayStation controller with a PlayStation to USB adapter
Hi I am a first time poster here, so I hope this gets to the right place.
I use the loox 720 pocket PC with USB host and a PlayStation controller with a PlayStation to USB adapter.
For a drivers I use hidgamep.dll. Copy it to your Pocket PC's Windows folder and enter the following to your registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\HID\LoadClients\Default \Default\1_5\gamepad "DLL"="hidgamep.dll"
OR [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\HID\LoadClients\Default\Default\Default\Gamepad] "DLL"="hidgamep.dll"
if it did not work. But, any unknow HID device pluged in will try use the hidgamep.dll. It´s not problem for me and it´s working fine!
and I use Mobiion MagiKB Lite v1.1 - http://www.mobiion.com/magikblite.html to change the button commands so like when I was playing super mario bros.gun 2 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=556557 I change the "X" button to "up" and the "O" to the "space bar". But for the most part I use the controller as a media remote for the core player or windows media player ...
I use Zeno USB Host Drivers 2011 v1.0 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...url
for everything else
PS
I hope this helps
We know that the asus transformer has mouse support with the trackpad. I would prefer to have a full mouse when I I set this up to do typing and office type work.
Can any of you who already have the tablet see if it works with a bluetooth mouse?
I will test this when I get home this evening. I meant to test it last night and in the excitement of getting the transformer, I forgot.

Wow didn't even know this was supported so well. Pairing up brings up a mouse pointer until the connection is lost.
LMB obviously simulates touch.
RMB is the back hotkey
MB3 is the menu hotkey (top right icon)
Scroll up-down traverses open menus. LMB to select. Will scroll in the browser and system wide such as in polaris office.
Full movement as expected from desktop OSs.

That is great news. I want to be able to plug my tablet into my hdmi next to my tv to watch videos and sit back on my couch and navigate. That is awesome, thanks for testing it out!
What about zooming in and out? How do you do that if you can't do multi-touch pinch gesture? Perhaps some sort of combination of button press + scroll wheel?

You still get double click to zoom. Other that that you can't be more precise from just the mouse and I don't have a dock or bt keyboard to try.
Only time I see myself using a mouse is when plugged into hdmi and I feel double tap to zoom and reflow is sufficient.
I wish RMB emulated a long press. I feel that is more natural for a right click. Hopefully this can be altered once HC goes open source.
Pairs with Apple bluetooth mouse and links to input device, but nothing happens. Certainly don't get the pointer that could be seen on the screenshot in the earlier thread.

Hi mate,
I'm having trouble pairing my BF mouse with the transformer. I can see it, but when I try to pair them, the transformer asks for pin and basically that's it... nothing after that.
How did you pair yours?

Just entered the default pin 0000. Check the mouse label if it has a specific pin.
FYI mine is a logitech travel mouse

Yeay, 0000.
It wasn't on the mouse, but I found it in the online manual.

Not one of my Apple peripherals connect and work (magic mouse, magic trackpad or keyboard). My Logitech M555b mouse works correctly though.
Makes me wonder if Honeycomb is deliberately blocking Apple devices from working.

That is highly unlikely. When you go into system/usr/keylayout on the XOOM they even have a dedicated layout file for the Apple wireless keyboard. They would be stupid to fuel the flaming between iSheep and Androids! However, I wouldn't be surprised if the Apple mouse requires special drivers, especially if it is the magic mouse which is not your conventional HID. Or maybe Asus has a beef with Apple, but not HC.

I haven't done any digging into the system files yet on the Transformer, so I can't comment on that.
I find it strange though that they all pair, connect but then fail to actually interface correctly. The mouse cursor does not appear on screen, even though the settings panel recognises them as a mouse and trackpad, and the keyboard just doesn't function - the only time it works is when you have to type in the pairing PIN.
Strange.. Might well be an Asus -> Apple issue/incompatibility or something with the bluetooth chip. Perhaps we'll see a future software fix or hack.
Has anyone had an issue with paired mouse not reconnecting Mine paired the 1st time but has not connected since then.
Mine..

The first connection, more than 5 minutes will be automatically disconnected. Need to connect again.
I use a Bluetooth 3.0 Mouse...
Is this the reason?
I tried plugging in the USB transmitter of the Microsoft BlueTrack Mini Explorer and it works, but response is slow.

I am having this issue also. My mouse works fine on my laptop. I think it has to do with the TF going to sleep. I only notice it just before or just after my TF goes to sleep.

Mee too, Works fine on laptop but not Tablet.
This is definately an issue with the TF screen ging to sleep. While I would like it to automatically reconnect. A temporary solution when using the mouse with the dock is to set the screen to stay on when charging.
EDIT: I just installed 3.1 last night and from my experieces today it looks like 3.1 automatically reconnects with the bluetooth mouse after a disconnect.
What do you think about that?
I already have a old windows bluetooth keyboard that works with android.
I only use computer to surf the webb, write, read. Watch some youtube.
Can bluetooth mouse be used with android? Not that it's necessery, but i'm curious
Yes it can, quite easily in fact. If the bluetooth keyboard and mouse suppor the HID profile, you should be good to go. Also, if you get an MHL adapter and connect it to an HDMI display you can push your screen out to a larger one.
Is this issue already fixed that an activated Bluetooth connection slows down your WiFi? For surfing the tablet may be okay, but for me it won't replace the desktop in the near future.. There are no drivers for special devices, it's way slower and if you try serious work on a tablet... Well, prepare some relaxing tea
I have an HP BT mouse and the logitech 810 keyboard and I am finding that they are having difficulties when used with this tablet. I get random multi-repeats on the keyboard, and the mouse pointer has a large delay and is 'jumpy' making it hard to use. I did not have this issue on my transformer prime at all and I routinly used multiple BT devices at the same time. Other then using someting like external keyboard helper pro to reduce theeeeeeeee multi key issue, I have not figured out how to adjust BT to be less jumpy. I have turned off the low power settings and stamina mode.
Any thoughts? Hard to use it the way it is.......

I have the same problem with characters, but thought it was due to poor quality of my keyboard. Will test it with another device then.
It also has a built-in trackpad and it works flawless, except scroll speed is a bit high.

Seems that if I reboot, then BT is smooth for a bit, but then gets jerky again after a little while. Also really lags when wifi is active such as when downloading. Is this a HW issue or a BT config issue. Is there any BT config utilities that may work with this tablet?
Update....
It appears to only happen when more than one bt device is attached. the mouse works fine if keyboard is shut off......

ok. I just tested with my computer and double character still happens, so I guess my original suspicion is correct. My keyboard is of poor quality.
is it possible to adjust the BT profiles at all? My mouse will not 'long press' on the buttons, it instead only does a single click no matter how long you hold it, and the middle and left buttons do nothing. On other tablets these were configurable but there isnt any adjustments in the settings menue for BT or the Mouse and Keyboard that I have found other than layout.
Thoughts?
I have a bluetooth keyboard by Anker (£20 on amazon) also a Hp blutooth mouse and they borh work perfectly. Im rrally surprised they work so well actuall, I never used an bluetooth controllers wirh android before. Maybe its your kit. Setting the connect and disconnect profiles is good.
I was using my wireless Logitech desktop set but I noticed some lag after not using it for some seconds. When I keep using the mouse or keyboard there is no problem and everything works fine. But when I stop typing or stop mousing for longer than three seconds, the tablet doesn't recognize any input anymore. When I move the mouse or use the keyboard, nothing happens, but after two seconds any input is recognized again.
So I have to keep typing or else I have to wait some seconds to let the tablet recognize any input. This is unworkable.
I tested it with two desktop sets with two different Unifying receivers. When I use a corded mouse or keyboard, everything's fine. It seems to me that there is some sort of logitech standby mode which the tablet can't handle or something.
What can I do abaout this?
Added logcat of connecting usb, a freeze moment, and the disconnection. But I see nothing wrong there...
http://pastebin.com/fisK3hQ0
I bought an other Logitech Wireless mouse (standard receiver, no Unify) and that one works perfectly. So it looks like it has something to do with Unify, not wireless in particular.
Anyone?!
The Shield tablet has the same issue:

Maybe it has something to do with the Tegra K1?

It is really annoying. My Shield Tablet is fantastic, except for this issue with the keyboard/mouse. Sad panda.

And no solutions yet. Maybe a different kernel will work, but I like to keep my N9 stock (the first months hehehe)
Any solution?
Has there been any solution to this issue yet? I too am having the same problem.
Work Around
I have a work around that seems to fix this issue. For this to work you will need to be root. Also note that this solution will cause all USB devices to remain on at all times and will not survive a reboot. My experience is mostly with linux and very little with android. I expect someone should be able to modify the following script fairly easily for a more permanent solution.
Open your favorite terminal emulator and type the following four commands pressing enter after each:
su
for i in /sys/bus/usb/devices/*/power/control;
do echo on > $i;
done
This script toggles the power control setting for all usb devices from the auto state to always on. Hope this helps!
I have a slight lag with my logitech controller through USB OTG. It's just a split second lag, but it's there right from when you plug it in. Makes it unusable for gaming. No issues whatsoever with my Logitech bluetooth keyboard however.
