I was wondering if you can save webpages to html files and then convert them to a word doc file?
Or from an html file to a pdf file.
I need to know before purchasing an x7500.
Thanks in advance!
Hi!
I want let you know that I tried.
-I save the web page as an HTML
-I open the .html page with pWORD and save it as a .doc
-When I open again this file .doc you can see the page as an html code, ok? in my computer too.
I don't know if there some soft who can "convert" from html to doc. that works in our "baby".
I hope you understand, my english is creepy
Are you saying that when you open the doc file even in your computer, you see them only in the form of html code?
yes you will see the entire content of page, I mean the source code.
I understand that you want see the .doc as web site...
Cool, can you save images? and what format will they be saved as? png, jpg, bmp? im so close to buying an x7501, so any info on this will be really helpful.

Hi,
In my last pda I use notes, and so I get pwi files. In my new HTC HD2 I see the pwi files and I can open them clicking in windows explorer. A new software open the file. Can someone tell me witch software this is and how I can get a link to this program?
Btw I know there is also a new software OpeNote Mobile, but this doesn't work with pwi files. This works with the extension *.1sp.
Thanks in advance,
Kik
You could copy it to your computer and open Word and select Open (selecting File Type as 'Ink Writer/Note Taker .pwi'). You can then save it as a doc or docx and copy it back to your phone.
Thank you fred_up, it is a solution. But I'm looking for the software on my HD2 what opens my pwi file. As I wrote, explorer opens a program Notes (notities in Dutch), how can I find this software on my HD2 to open the pwi files?

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
There is no option for 'Ink Writer/Note Taker .pwi' in Word 2003. Is this only for 2007/2010?
Hi
i want to include web images in my app but i dont want to have the url in the sourcecode, i want a txt file that is hosted on the server to tell the app where to find the images. Is that possible?
Yes, of couse... it's possible. There are a lot of ways to do but one that I'm thinking is:
The text file can be a .properties file of java in wich you set the ursl as follows:
url1=example.com/someimage1.png
url2=example.com/someimage2.png
url3=example.com/someimage3.png
...
And then you only have to download the file on the app launch and read the key value pairs using the Properties class of Java SE.
thanks a lot. i am still pretty much a noob in app development, i hope i am able to do that. =)
While using root browser, I went to my web browser folders and noticed localstorage..in it contained files that looks like a web history. For example http_forum_xda-developers.com_0.localstorage
How do I open this file? Also some are called journal at the end..do I need to use SQL on my computer to open the journal?
Thank you for any help
Anyone?
Please help if you can. I have already searched a million times without luck...thanks
I have been trying to upload a number of pdf files that can be viewed offline. I have watched countless videos and tutorials but none help.
I drag the files into the docs folder but when I look into the docs folder it is empty.
Can someone please help me with this?
Thanks in advance!
Are there any OCR photo to text apps that create PDF files that have copy and paste. It doesn't matter if it is PDF but it would be preferable. Even just being able to copy the text and export it to a word doc would be awesome. The problem I have now is; the apps I have used to scan my text books all convert the file to a locked state where I cannot copy and paste things out of to document, which I need for university. Google Keep has a feature that works well for allowing an image to have the text extracted but all you can do is copy the text and the format of the sentences are all borked and it does not allow to send to a doc, you have to manually open an office suite then click on paste, copy it to computer, fix all of the formatting and then it will work. I was hoping that someone has some idea of a better process to follow
