Can't turn Bluetooth Off! - HTC Startrek

I just received my 3125 today. I'm familiar with smart phones but I swear I can't turn the bluetooth off.
I've tried in settings/connections/comm manager and settings/connections/bluetooth and it seems to turn it off but fifteen seconds later the blue light starts flashing again!
I go back into settings and bluetooth is on again. Is there a default file setting somewhere I must save?
Thanks for your help.
Stan

Backup contacts,SMS,email, etc. that you need, and try hard reset.

wifi wont turn on after flight mode

I traveled today and used the flight mode in my comm manager using dcds rom. After that when i switch the wifi switch on it wont put the little antenna at the top or activate the wifi on my phone. Flight mode is obviously off at this point. If i go to the comm manager and the switch is on and i hit wifi itll blink the icon on the top of the screen for a split second and then it will go away and the icon will go to blue and right back to grey with an x on it. My wifi was working fine until i hit the flight mode. Any help
Silly question but did you do a soft reset?
yea and i also removed the battery. it seems to me that the hard switch isnt working
I found the same thing. What seems to happen is when in "Flight Mode" before Wifi is enabled, no radios will then turn on. Try setting Wifi on, then turning off the cell radio and BT radio. Now turn off Wifi. I found the device will now show it is in flight mode, but the Wifi can now be turned on and off with the slide switch.
This one had me thinking my slide switch was broken for a LONG trip until I worked out this sequence.
Good luck
still no luck ive tried a bunch of sequences with the switch both on and off and i cant activate wifi
What rom are u using?
dcd 3.0.0 evrything is working normal on the phone if i hit the wifi switch it wont do anything. if i go to comm manger with the switch on and press wifi itll blink the little satellite at the top but go away in 2 seconds exactly how it would if i had the hard switch off
My recommendation would be try a newer ROM and see if the problem persists or try stock. You either have a bad build or a bad flash since I know WIFI does work in that version.

Touch Pro abruptly stopped working; won't boot.

So here's a peculiar incident:
I have a CDMA TP with a stock ROM and a few basic apps I gathered from these forums and others. I've had it for less than a week.
Tonite, I went to check my text messages. Suddenly, the screen went black and the phone stopped responding. After pressing the power button and fiddling with the keys, I pulled out the stylus and did a soft reset. No response. Confused by this, I tried again, but still nothing. I removed the battery, and turned the phone back on. It froze at the "Touch Pro" screen with the rom/radio/etc info at the bottom. After repeating this a few times I decided to do a hard reset. So, I turn the device on and perform the hard reset. By this point the TP is only turning on SOME TIMES, and I have to take the battery out and put it back in often just to get it to start successfully. So, I finally get the device to boot up and it starts to configure WinMo. Suddenly, while configuring, it freezes. Now I try to turn it back on, and nothing happens.
Basically the device is stuck like this, shifting between not turning on at all and turning on but freezing at the "Touch Pro" screen.
So, my question is, what the heck is going on here? Has anyone else had this problem, or does this sound familiar to anyone? Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.
p.s. Yes, the battery is fully charged.

Time to take it in and get a new one.....
Same problem here phone started b not coming out of lock mode. Backlight is on but no display on screen (if i tilt the screen left and right i can see light coming from behind) did about 6 hard resets and still same problem. also power button works whenever it wants to. this phone sucks @ss, i want my mogul back. on a second note my replacement will be here on wednesday.
Touch Pro stock rom purchased back in nov when it came out
yeah, i've had the same problem, i found if i hit my phone on the back or side and then batter pull and hit the soft reset while off, not the power button to turn it back on, it comes back on with color on the screen not just blank black screen with backlight, this works mostly every time, but when it doesn't, i just hold the power button down and do battery pull and hit the power button and it works, its like its got a combo of things you have to do before it works.. weird
Boot Up
I have also had similar problems. I for some reason sometimes have to remove my SD card and boot up without it for some reason. Not all the time, but every once in a blue moon. Not too sure how that affects anything, but you may try that too.
well i started a thread here ***help*** because i kinda have the same problem.
i downloaded some cabs, nothing fancy but i had some problems with a theme i downloaded. when i went to deleted i couldnt..... to make a story short, i took it to the sprint store where they tried to do a master reset/ hard reset and it wont take it. it wont do a thing... they say some important files are missing...
the phone works but not the way it should... the time on the home screen wont show up. and some other small things...
dont know how this happened but i would like to know... im worried about new programs to the phone now. ( getting a new one)
still want to see if i can fix this one.

Have you tried re flashing the ROM?
it wasnt HTC's fault for your phone's not booting...thats what happens when u try to mess with the hardware too much and you dont know what your doing
Would you want to sell???
Reboot Brick HTC process
****DOn't take battery out after hard boot***
1.just watch videohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sk56olMkCtU and do what they do but dont take battery out. LEAVE phone STUCK on BOOT screen. Nothign else will move or work but you want phone just like that.
2. connect usb cable to active sync. (this may not link up but leave usb connected anyhow) Do not delete phone profile.
3.use rom like Download MightyROM6_Herman.exe avail at: http://www.lilrico.com/Mighty/mightyromblog/?p=454
4 although active sync is still attatched but may not be connecting. It will connect thru usb anyway when you run the rom software. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fV2I2WAFkg4&NR=1
This worked and kept phone from cutting on and off. and restored ROM. don't know about original htc boot. but your phone will work under this rom for now and you can go from there.
hey thanks plain ole dumb, it works now.
man I thought it was over.
thanks again

Can not activate Bluetooth

Since two days I got the problem, that I can not activate Bluetooth anymore. On the settings "Wireless & network setting" I press the Bluetooth activation (Turn on Bluethooth). The status changes to "Turning on ... " for about 10 seconds, but doesn't turn on. Before was working fine, I do not remember to have something deleted.
It seems to me, as if Bluetooth is switched off (or disabled) by some application.
Would like to isolate the problem. Any ideas how I can find out.
- Log file
- command line
- etc

Do you have anything frozen through titanium backup? Have you installed any apps that use Bluetooth? I had an issue with car home locking my Bluetooth up when I undocked it. Telling Car home to turnoff Bluetooth once disconnected fixed mine. If all else fails and you cant figure it out, I would try flashing back to 1.57 and then OTA update it back to 1.83. Last resort of course so you don't have to set your phone back up, titanium backup can make this process easier.
If nothing works then may be a hardware issue. Best of luck.
Just wait before you get into it, another person may have better advice!

Hi. I installed a Bluetooth Transfer app. This was the reason, why I found out that Bluetooth wasn't working anymore. But I know for sure that Bluethooth was running fine, just a few days ago.
I really would like to find the reason, quite sure there is a software reason, and defenitly do not want to flash back.

WiFi won't turn on, 3G works

After recently returning from China from an one month vacation, my GS2's wifi stopped turning on. If I try to turn it on in the notification bar, it would go hollow green for a few seconds before returning back to off. If I turn it on in settings, the same happens.
I've read over the forums and tried a number of methods such as reflashing the same rom, flashing back to the stock rom, factory reset or flashing a new kernel. All methods did not solve my problem.
My 3G works but I don't understand why my Wifi won't even turn on. I am also unable to turn on Portable WiFi hotspot as it would say error when I turn it on.
Please HELP!!!

I need help

Ok so to start off im gonna give you some information: my phone was rooted with magisk and it was running b360, it worked just fine until one day my wifi kept turning it's self off for no reason. That kept happening but not very often so i didn't mind it. Today my wifi wouldn't start at all(the switch thingy went blue then gray immediately) again and if i tried to turn it on again my phone would reboot.I then unrooted and went into safe mode to see if it would fix the issue but it was the same, so i tried recovering my data from twrp. That didn't fix anything once again, so i did a factory reset(that prolly screwed me over big time) after the factory reset i realized that my phone wouldn't finish the setup thing because it needs to connect to the internet to check for new updates. So my issues are that i can't seem to be able to access my phone through adb since when i use "adb devices" it doesn't show my device, and that my phone is basically unusable right now since it wont get past the "checking for updates" phase. So what should i do? Any help is appreciated!
*update*
I got past the "checking for updates" phase and i completed the setup by sheer luck(my wifi worked for a couple of seconds), but the problem still persists. My wifi can't be turned on, or when it turns on it stays like that only for a couple of seconds and then goes off again also my phone crashes from time to time aswell(usually when i mess with the wifi, but sometimes it just does it on it's own).
I know is abvious, but is WiFi+ turned on? That can turn off your WiFi for you if not near a saved hotspot. Could be a confusion between this and location services.

WiFi+ is turned off. From what I've observed so far after i restart the phone i can use the WiFi for about an hour or two, after that it stops turning on. But if i use it for about 20-30 mins, turn it off, and turn it on again after a while when i want to use it again, it works (obv if i use it for 1-2 hours the problem will occur again). So what I've been doing so far is just use it for about half an hour then turn it off until i need it, and repeat. I know that im probably not making much sense right now but i don't know what to do anymore.
