SD to miniSD adapter available... - Advantage X7500, MDA Ameo Upgrading

Thought I would share my find for the night.
Since the Athena comes with a miniSD slot, you can't use a SD sized card nor device...unless you use this adapter.
I don't have one but have read reviews and they were good.

Could come in handy for someone that needs it or just for play.

Looks a nonsense to me. See the pictures of the nokia with "that thing" in its side... come on... how are you going to use the phone that way.

I never said it was comfortable. I just said it's available for anyone to use if they want.
You'd be amazed what some hackers can do with a little adapter like this. ;-)
Edit: What about taking out the MD and setting a 16GB SD card internally for the device...just one possibility. Not saying it's the best thing to do, just a possibility.

With some hardware and software work yes.
I recently purchased a 6GB microSDHC and put it into an adapter and am now happy with my extra storage. ...until I run out.

Can not support 2G MicroSD

As title
what the heck kinda post is this....you don't make any sence, and even if your english is bad, and you're tryin to ask if the device supports a 2gb micro sd...it should be pretty damn apparent from every other post about 2gb micro sd cards in the forum, that it does support them.
Winner of least discriptive post of the year award!

Samsung 32GB Class 6 with USB card reader $29.77 + $5 shipping (24 hour deal)

Just came across this while looking at daily deal websites.
Looks like a decent deal and comes with a handy looking USB card reader and SD adapter.
The deal is now dead.
Hmmm sounds and looks like a good deal .. should I do it?

Well, that's all up to you.
If I didn't already have a plethora of micro sd cards, I would probably get it.
Just figured I'd give the fellow EVO 3D users a heads up, even though there seems to be quite a few other micro sd deals going on as well.

Lol as in do you think its a good feature
NFC is already accepted by the major manufacturers and card companies as the new standard. They are all developing off of it.
Yea I saw articles about that. I hope they make an NFC micro sd that has storage to so the rezound can NFC

I see intel is working on one and some place called netcom has one with 8GB in development
Theres also an article talking about NFC being built into the SIM card

**** that. Too much critical information is stored on the SIM that SHOULD be separate from NFC.
They'd have to prove a seriously high level of security before I'd consider using it. That seems like something that's real easy to hack.
Nfc payments have been used in Japan and Asia for around 10 years, its really old technology. We just need to get American businesses on board and get with this international program =-)
The carriers are working on ISIS(sp?) Which only excludes sprint who is using google. They are locked via pins like an atm card. And honestly who really cares all that much if it gets hacked. Yes it would suck but the cards are insured. My credit card data got stolen years ago, I think something like 5,000 was used. I got it resolved in a week. The companies know the risk is high on credit cards, the process isn't too complicated.
I say bring it.

Well since Verizon won't let us use it anyway who cares..?? This is why I initially settled on the Rezound. Now I'm just plain happy that I skipped it.
Doesn't matter if Verizon doesn't want anyone using it. If the capability is there, it will be unlocked.
It's already been opened for the Nexus on Verizon. I've used it and it works well.

A place to hang out

Here's a place for everyone to hang out chill, relax talk bout anything they want. No real general topic around here. This will also help me get to know this section better, an you can get to know me too.
So pull up a stool, drinks are on the house.
Hi Mr. highway, my name is Tom and I'm an alcoholic.
What size nook tablet do you have?
What do you like about it?
What hacks have you applied to it, if any?
That's all for now, don't forget to write back or i'll be depressed and have to call the suicide hotline like usual. I think they blocked my number.

Im just the moderator around here, tom.
I don't own the tablet, wouldn't mind owning it though.
Ok, fair enough. I got mine for 125 on craigslist and threw cm7 on it via sd card. Unfortunately I can't really get a stable custom rom on the internal because it's an 8gb model. I really don't like the nook tablets vanilla firmware, it's really ugly and not intuitive.

MicroSD Card Reader

This looks interesting and thought I would share it: http://www.meenova.com/st/p/m3r.html
Crap, put this in the wrong section. Mods - can you magi-move it to the appropriate section please? Sorry about that.
I'm glad these guys got funded and now have product to ship. I just ordered one (for $12 how couldn't you?) It's pretty much the first of its kinds in terms of it being a small form factor OTG. I'll probably put my backups on it since they take up a lot of space.
Well that looks promising. You guys have any luck with it yet? When flashing backups or installing new roms from SD does it recognize as ext SD?
