The HTC supllied, stock / oem "SlidingSounds" panel. It's cooked out of DCD, and I'd like it back. I didn't use a kitchen. Yes I know there is an "aftermarket" version of this, but it sucks up RAM and is slower. I'd like the HTC version...
Can I get this as a .cab? Thanks so much!
I have been wondering the exact same thing. All the other versions didn't seem to work as well.

From the DCD 3.2.5 Thread
Doesn't put anything in your apps, but puts all the right registry setttings out there and the Sliding Sound app is in \Windows.
i'm not sure if this is what you are looking for but maybe try something like no2Chems sliding keyboard control panel service?
http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/page/nueSlidingKB.aspx
This app worked perfect, it doesn't run as a program just edits the values and allows you to specify your own wav's easily. No additional memory usage:

Cool, the Original is the best working (I also like Gullum's WWE ROM, but I prefer German!). I will try it now and report if there're any bugs or suggestions. Thanks in advance.
Flashed your rom. Everything works really well so far. Responsive and fast. Thats it, great. Thanks.
Thanks for reply Hope you two like the rom
Works great, really tested all, no probs! Thanks.
Maybe you can include 3D Dialer Skin (Jade or something like that) for a full "look and feel"?

Yes thats a idea i already had today when calling some friends
You may also delete all dirs & files in "My Documents".
Keylock is activated by default. If the Niki is in standby or when using S2U2 wakeup is only possible pressing powerbutton. To solve this you can use following regkey:
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\OEM\KEYBD]
"KeyLock"=dword:00000000
Is this not the standard option? Cant't remember to change this
Also i like this, because i always push buttons in my pocket
whats that for a tab in manila2d: footprints?

also it would better to fullscreen manila2d without bottom bar

This is why on Fooprints tab nothing happens. Just install Fooprint software for using fooprints.
Is it possible to fullscreen Manila? I had never seen it fullscreen
Full screen manilla = no!
Also it wouldn't make sense (how to access startmenu etc.).
In the meanwhile I have installed "Diamond Dialer Skin White". Maybe you could integrate a nicer dialer directly to the ROM as last todo.
BTW I used the ROM since release. All is working fine, except Bluetooth (I have to activate it before starting Navigon to get GPS signal, but this also occurs in HTC ROM - my old Niki worked ).
Thanks again!
Can you post your Diamond Dialer cab file.
Or what dialer do you want to see in Rom?
The dialer I use is just an addon and can be copied over (it's a cab that exchanges the graphics).
The "real" dialers are better, but I don't know where to find here (I believe you can find them in the german ROMs (like BD's one))
Think your Talking about Canvas Dialer (with slide to answer) or? But this is only a 2G Dialer (no Video Calls).
I take a look around and will test some dialers...
Yeah, Canvas or Opal. Would be great.
If you plan to **** a new version PLEASE remove all files in "My Docs" and in "Windows\Rings" and maybe also all unused alerts/rings in windows-folder (if you don't need them, I never did )

Phoenix Kitchen WM6.5 v3.20
First ROM, and has not been optimised for size. As there is a lack of means to develop a theme, I have added the customisation directly to the SYS.
Have kept just the basic Manila2D (minus a lot of extras eg footprints) installed for now, as I find the WM6.5 interface slower than M2D.
So this is windows 6.5 already?

I still have the most annoying bug ever: I cannot adjust the volume! I tried the side hardware keys, I tried to select the speaker symbol from the top of screen, nothing works! THis happended also with another 6.5 from the jerpelea, I don't recall if it happened with the first 6.5 for Nikki...
Any suggestions? This is strictly related to 6.5, on 6.1 I have no problems with the volume adjustments.

The kitchen jerpelea setup, and the other one I use by Bepe, automatically protects the ROM. IT is dumpable, but decompiling it will give a series of hugh files of garbage.
Let me know what you need, and I'll share the packages. Most are obtained from xda-developers anyway.

That was the very first ROM I cooked 5 months ago. Just used the standard M2D skin that jerpelea made available with his kitchen.
Will create a basic one then. It will make the ROM a lot smaller too, as the images I used, created on PS, tend to bloat the ROM big time.

As a foreign language student I often find myself looking for ways to use the language I'm learning/have learned on my winmo device. At first this can be very daunting as there are a lot of options out there, so I wanted to make this thread to consolidate any freeware or other options there are working for the current builds of winmo.
If people think this is a good idea I'll link this thread on the wiki. Please post any language inputs you have with a cab or a working link and I'll update the thread to include them.
INPUTS:
Chinese
Pinyin inputs
ZTA4 - (by far the BEST free pinyin input out there)
Non-Touchscreen
QVGA Touchscreen
VGA Touchscreen
WVGA Touchscreen with HTC skin (Recommended)
Handwriting inputs
Samsung Handwriting Input - VGA/WVGA Fullscreen input
Korean
Multiple Input Methods
Moakey v2 WVGA - Includes hand input, keyboard input, etc.
Japanese
Multiple Input Methods
Handwriting + Kana Input VGA/WVGA - Not touch friendly [Original Thread]
Touch Friendly Input - This is a cab I made combining touchkeysip + gesture10key SIP. NOTE: This is not an IME, you must separately install a japanese IME and use 411 japanese keyboard for it to work, but if you do it is an excellent touch friendly layout for something like the HD2.
Handwriting
Careace Japanese Writing Input - Includes font, original site here
Edit: If you have any stable working input methods for any language, please let me know.
Whatever language input you decide to install you will need a display font to go along with it. If you might be using more than one language its best to go with one of the multiple ones listed at the top, but if you are sure to only use one language a dedicated single font will provide more robust support.
FONTS:
M8 CJKT Doggold v2 - Supports Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Thai
Ko_jp_cn - More robust Chinese/Japanese/Korean support, but no thai.
Sunglobe - Small Chinese Simplified font with Trad support
Microsoft Yahei - Supports all simp and Trad Characters and most Japanese, it is supposed to support Korean as well, but I can't get it to display.
Korean Font by Careace - Original website here

Ok, I'm working on a solution. Can you tell me exactly what it does? Can you bring up the keyboard at all? Will it type, or is it showing boxes, or only typing english?
can't find japanese keyboard. (the shift - ctrl - ctrl - shift can't work... don't have ctrl key )
and with pzqII when i lauch it, i have a white square in the middle of "start" word on top left, and can't activate anything.

If you look in the original thread that I posted next to the japanese input, you will find that you have to go into the registry and manually change the keyboard to 411 instead of 409 (english).
I'm trying to find a way to avoid doing that, as both the chinese and korean inputs I have don't require that, but so far no dice.
nevermind, forgot to reset the the phone. hah.. 0_o
ok just tried editing peoples names in korean with moakey v2. and installed the korean font cab but doesn't seem to display any korean..

I strongly recommend the M8 CJKT cab, its worked the best for me so far.
I'm using it plus moakey + zta4 on my phone right now and they both work fine.
Remember, you may have to reset a couple of times when dealing with fonts and inputs.

that's a good solution when you use for long time japanese input.. but in my case, i wont go to registry and change a key every 5 seconds! :/
but, there's nothing hurry, i finally can't use the program i wanted, so i keep searching for a kanji learner / dictionnary, with japanese inputs AND handwriting :/
Have you by chance tried this WVGA version of ZTA4?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4149571
I need a WVGA Chinese pinyin input method, one that's 6.5 compatible for my Rhodium based phone.
Nevermind, fixed this!
Hello, this thread has been incredibly helpful, thanks !
I have a little problem, I can't make Moakey & Samsung handwriting (chinese) work together... Only the last installed works and seems to disable the first installed. I think they have conflicting files or something?
For example, if Moakey is installed, then if I install Samsung handwriting, it disables handwriting in Moakey.
Any solutions? I have installed them both on internal storage, then tried to put one in internal and one in external, but no success...
You should try Mobem Software's CE-Star, and CE-Star Suite. They have keyboards, handwriting, stroke... and many others and mutiple languages.
I just tried your ZTA4, which is very nice. I think I prefer it as a keyboard Pinyin input to that of Mobem's.

The First One ZTA4 WVGA version works well, although the keyboard seems to continuously make itself the default. I have a Blackstone, HTC HD T8282, also running a WM 6.5.+ ROM, but cannot comment on Rhodium. Can't see why it should be different though. Good Luck. BTW, I have still only found CE-Star to fully display Characters in all applications, Mail, Calendar, Home, Contacts, etc.
I have WM 6.5 with M2D.
Where can I change the backlight, change ring/vibrate (without using side keys) and how to know we have a lost call? (I dont have call history on first screen, I only have a button on taskbar...)

It depends on wich rom you are using but let's give it a try,
- Backlight: start/settings/system/power/backlight
- Change ring/vibrate: start/settings/personal/phone
- Change volume: with the side-keys on your phone, or on the topbar by touching the speaker (not in all versions) and for vibrate by pressing the # button on your keypad (not in all roms)
- lost call: You see a notification on your screen if you missed a call otherwise go to the dialer-menu.
There are more ways to get the same result, so go playing with your phone and you'll see it for yourself.
Hope I helped you a little bit in the right direction.

Hi again, for your programs make a shortcut of folderview.exe, you can find it in your windowsfolder and copy it to windows/start menu/programs.

Ok to get back to your question, it just depends on what rom you are using proberly you are now using the naked version from DJ, and that is a com 2 branch, it means that it don't have a bottombar, in my signature you see a rom I made and that is one with bottombar also DJ made beautiful rom's with bottombar just search for his threads.
