Hi,
does anyone know how to do this using the standard pocket outlook?
When I try, I seem to have to leave it on one particular account and it checks that one only....
I'm sure pocketpc used to at somepoint did it not?
anyone got any ideas ? or third party programs that are as if not more powerfull AND are just as intergrated...
thanks for anyones help
cheers,
Sorry there is no way to do that with the standard pocket inbox!
HTH
I have to say.... thats quite pathetic
know any 3rd party progz you'd recomend?
thanks again *sighz*

might help.
I read that thanks... too much bloat for my liking though lol... (see I do search the forum lol )
covers up the battery notification on the 'start menu' (kills small menu plus with the GPRS meter thingy)
adds its own battery monitor to the today section (I already use omega one for that  )
and a few other things that I forgot about (uninstalled the GPRS monitor already)
I'm not saying its a bad proggie by any means.... but I do prefer the ones I'm using the now (battery meter etc) and since IE is so crap for surfing the web ( NO OPERA !!!!!! ) I only use GPRS for collecting mail so cost isnt an issue
mail is very important to me though.... and that my friend is where this one comes in
http://www.handdata.com/hdmailpage.htm
does everything it says on the tin
I'm trying it out for the 15 day trial... anyone that wants this feature should too...
2 niggles...
1. bit expensive for all it does (but then again $20 aint tooooooooooo much)
2. the damn light comes on everytime it turns the device on to check mail... yes I know thats coz I've set it to come out of 'flight mode' to do so but I'm sure outlook manages to check mail without waking the device up fully no?
anyways cheers
was gonna post that link when I had the chance since no one had managed to come up with anything....
scratch that... has anyone managed to get it to work on a 2k3 device?
I cant seem to get it to work.... I thought it was comming on and checking my mail but by the looks of it, it was just the t-mobile 'ghost' bug....
I tried mailing the author but aint recieved a response yet...
anyone had better luck?

I had Inbox working OK on 4.01.00/TMobile (altho I was only using one email account), but tonight I switched to a Kitchen 4.00.16 and can't get it to connect reliably. So maybe it's related to an immature revision of WM2003...
thanks, yeah eventually I did get it working with 1 account although did you think the timer was accurate ?
I cant get it to check multiple accounts tho
cheers
4.01.00 is also the rom I use
I have zero interest in Sprint Picture Mail. However, the account is sort of "hardwired" into the phone and there is no (official) way to disable it that I can find. It doesn't even show up in the list of accounts under Options in Pocket Outlook.
Does anybody know some sort of tweak to get rid of this account?
This would include...
1. Removing it from "send" options when emailing pictures (album)
2. Account chooser for Pocket Oulook
3. TF3D icon on the mail tab

I believe its an extra cab that installs after a hard reset. Try hard resetting, and stopping the customization.
If there are any Sprint cabs you want they are floating around here or ppcgeeks.

Well, that's definitely a solution, but I'd rather not have to hard reset my device. I have the settings just the way I like it now.
Does anybody know how to get rid of it after it's already installed?
just stick a peice of black tape over the portion that says picturemail on your phone...

I'd love to know how to dump this as well without a hard reset and manually adding the all the other useful cabs myself.
Thanks for posing the question, now to wait for a good answer....
Try downloading the cab from somewhere, installing it, it will say the previous version has to be removed, after it removes the previous version, hit cancel to not install the new version.
Might be worth a shot, although I don't know why you wouldn't want picture mail, it's not like you have to use it, but why remove features?

That is a good idea. I'll have to try that!
As for why, good question. I don't really know why it bothers me so much. Maybe just because I like less clutter? Maybe it's an OCD type of thing. :-D One of the first things I did was install Advanced Config and remove the sprint music/tv tabs because i didn't want to use them, even though i didn't have to use them. :-D

I'm definitely going to try that! Good idea.
As for why, I don't like the extra account when I got from my text to email accounts BUT the main reason is because it works like POO POO! I hate how it is so damn clunky in it's operation and even though I don't use it to send picmail, if I get a picmail it goes in there.
I applaud Sprint for trying but damn, try a little harder next time. I could have done without this particular crap a$$ feature.
I'm also very interested in dumping Sprint Picture Mail. Since we're limited to six accounts in Pocket Outlook, its being there keeps me from adding in another account I actually use, so it's frustrating that they would add that in by default. Tried deleting all of the registry keys, installed files etc that are done as part of the CAB installer, but it's STILL there! Haven't been able to figure out how to bypass the customization step, otherwise I'd do a HR in a heartbeat and see if skipping the CAB install would work, so still awaiting a solution to this...
i tried but sprint mail was not completely removed , i even installed the other version and it got completely installed and i could not un install it using memaid ! there should be a smarter way toget rid of this sprint B/S.
i don't think it can be removed this way.
you will need to load a custom rom without the picmail.
in the time you have wasted waiting for an easy solution you could have flashed and reloaded all of your settings.
Not everybody wants a to use a cooked ROM. You know, it really gets tiring when know-it-alls pop into threads and instead of contributing something useful just say "you should have just done x,y,z instead of doing what you actually wanted to do." It's already been established earlier in the thread that hard resetting (which running a cooked ROM requires) is not an acceptible solution. I do not appear to be alone in wanting an alternative solution. If you don't have a solution or a constructive comment, can't you just, you know, not post anything?
maan76 - Thanks for trying that method out. I've been too busy to tinker. At some point, I'm going to try scouring the registry and DLLs in \Windows\. Pocket Office is extended just like any other MS app -- through DLLs. So unless Picture Mail has been hardwired through some bizarre method or bundled together with a load of other useful features into one big unremovable DLL, I have got to think that there must be some DLL somewhere that can be unregistered somehow -- it just hasn't been discovered yet. I hope anyway! But you never know...

I echo thx2100 but will say the MAIN reasons I don't want to just run a cooked ROM right now is that the only real advantage at this time is they are light on the apps to free up ram. I come from the 6700 and 6800 and I'm in heaven with the speed and ease that the TP has when running multiple apps.
None of the new ROM's right now really dazzle me but if one comes around that is hot sh$# then I might run it.
With my stock ROM I have no surprises and only one really annoying feature which is the picmail but I can live with.
yep I totally agree thx 200,that there is no need for the cooked ROMs right now for the TP , why I am risking myself in a cooked ROM ?????????? to save RAM nop ! RAM is highhhhhhh and we have plenty of it in tp not like the mogul when the people were racing to build a ROM with higher free RAM after booting ! to save couple megabytes !, now with this strong hardware in TP , we have plenty of RAM .
the other reason which drove us before for flashing ROMs is the new applications (ex Manila for htc 6800 mogul ,u tube......etc) now we ve got the most updated versions of these software in the touch pro.
no logic reason for flashing ROMs at this moment , probably when new software will come up or super tweaks that require flashing ROMs , but definetely not now , we are still new and still learning about the Touch pro.I am seeing junior members building ROMs cause it is easy with this 288 MB RAM , I bet nobody was able to build ROMs for the Apache or the Mogul cause of the limited RAM.
we have a long way in improvement in touch pro before building ROMs.

Using MSCEInfo, I've been able to identify every registry change and file modification made by the Sprint PictureMail CAB and have undone them all to no effect. So, either some other routine is making changes related to PicMail or it's hardcoded into the ROM. Hopefully, it's not the latter...
Good luck and please let us know if you find out how to do it. I've pretty much given up and am just waiting to find a stripped down ROM for the Sprint Touch Pro that doesn't include PictureMail, Touch Guide Mobile or any of the other bloatware that Sprint decided we had to have.
Solution Removal Sprint Picture Mail
I found the solution this morning and I successfully removed the sprint picture mail and I also successfully added my yahoo mail
here what you need to do
1-install the sprint picture mail Cab
2-using resco file explorer or anything else go to windows folder
3-in resco explorer , unclick hide hidden files and unclick hilde file extensions
4-look for sprint picture mail cab , next to it you will find sprint picture mail.exe and some other files cary the same name.
5-this .exe is made by the second installation you just made not ROM related , but still you can not remove it ,for some reason.
so rename it into anything .exe , and do the same for the rest of the files including the cab , not delete them all you should be able to do so .
I did these steps exactly in that order and I opened the messages folder and I was soooo happy not seeing the picture mail account .
Good luck guys

Can you point out which specific cab you installed (was it just the one built into the TP ROM?) and which file(s) you removed to get this to work?
Also, can you confirm that this removed the Sprint PictureMail account from both the Outlook account list AND the Mail TF3D tab???

Well I seem to have completely broke my ability to get picmail so I'll hold back on any instructions. I'll do some more testing and may just have to install the freakn program again.... OR I might load up a bare bones ROM and load cab's I see fit, 1 will undoubtedly NOT make the cut.
New Windows mobile Bing app is here!
No clear changlog is out yet.
"It's almost difficult to say how many Windows Phone owners prefer to use Microsoft's own Bing app as opposed to Google's. Luckily for those users who happily rely on using the Bing app, there is an update that brings the app to version 5.1.2010. It's unfortunate that Verizon Windows Phone owners can't get in on this update – that's because it only is available to Windows Phones on AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. It's not to say that it's a bad thing for those Verizon owners because it looks to be only a maintenance update and doesn't really offer anything exciting..........."

I uploaded the Cab here so everyone can download...even us Verizon users that got left out
This cab is for Windows Mobile 6.1 or 6.5.
Cheers!
If its any help this is version
Bing Mobile 5.1.2010.3290
Previous was
5.0.11249.0
Its alot quicker than the previous version and they have moved the menus to the bottom. I cant see much change.
I still prefer the old Bing/Live Search layout and configuration.
Movie times used to be so easy to browse, with the new style it does a bing search instead of getting the data from a provider. I think MS decided to cheap out. It's now basically useless in my books.

Yeah, but isn't the Diamond WM 6.1?
I tested it on 6.1, but don't see why i won't work upwards, maybe the two are different versions indeed for different OS.
Mine worked on VGA TouchPro WM 6.1
i cant save 'gps tracking.' it remains unchecked everytime i check the settings. therefore gps is unable to locate me. this pop up always shows everytime i attempt to locate my position, "allow bing to access and store your location to improve searching and for navigation?" it doesnt matter if i chose ok or cancel because there are no change in results regardless. google maps is working fine for me so im sure its not a gps issue from my phone.
Outlook has the issue that it converts yearly recurring dates (e. g. birthdays) to happen every 12 years. This happens when syncing your mobile with the calendar of 2 pc (e. g. at home and at work) and you are using Outlook 2003 SP2 or higher at your pc.
Now Microsoft made a hotfix to solve this issue. I´ve tested it and the issue is solved completely!
Wow, after searching for workarounds now there´s a healing for Office 2007:
use the Hotfix or wait for the next Service Pack (MS promised to work the Hotfix into the next SP).
Here´s the link to the Microsoft Hotfix:

Well I am posting this thread to point out the issues which have been identified in the Mango update for the HD2. As of now (14/7/2011) Mango is still in its Beta stage so
- I presume that pointing out these things might get the devs looking into it (hopefully to make for a better release)
- I would also like to point them out particularly to save any of you the hassle / disappointment of going to Mango for any of the listed features with issues ... (listed below) ...
- I would also like to know of any potential solutions (I will post these in blue if solutions exist underneath each issue respectively) if there are any ... because I made a lot of research to find no viable replies ...
By all means it's a great OS and the multitasking etc are all cool but if it's at the expense of the following issues, I'm afraid I will have to go back to NODO or Android ..... I would like to see if any of you are encountering the same exact issues. If possible if there are any potential fixes let the community know.
Issue #1 - Speech to Text problem
When trying to text somebody I get the requester to say my message. The weird thing is, I always get the message "Cannot connect to bing right now ... please try again later....". Now I am not really sure why does speech to text have to access Bing in order to text the message ....Might be a web service or something .. but maybe it could be due to the tighter integration between the phone functionalities and bing that bing is trying to be accessed .... Maybe it analyzes your text to pop up any relevant results ... Say you're talking about Britney Spears and you get images etc ... retreived from Bing which could be conveniently attached to your message ....
Anyways fact is ... I got a 3g Connection and a data connection (with configured apn) ... I can access bing physically by pressing the second button on my HD2 ... but I still get that weird message when using Speech to Text .....Weird isn't it? Question is ... anyone else is xperienceing the same problem ? Can we disable the bing functionality via registry to at least use this otherwise nifty speech recognition on our phones to get our smses written? Has this got anything to do with the profile Region (being US or UK?) I recall that certain web services from M$ don't work when using certain regions instead of others might be the same issue?
ISSUE #2 - Chevron
Well obviously as you may have expected ... The blokes at M$ are hard at work to block sideloading of apps on our devices .... I tried Chevron with the usual .cer technique as we used to do for previous releases of WP7 on HD2 ... and surprise surprise ... It didn't work .... So you can ave goodbye to all your favourite goodies and apps which you used to install via Chevron unless we get this one fixed......
ISSUE #3 - The Marketplace
Using the Mobile data connection I am getting a weird error code when trying to access portions of the marketplace .... The apps which I had installed previously on all builds (up till nodo) ... Did not install themselves as is usually the case ... The phone remained empty ... Now it's either a Zune issue or .... it is related to Issue #4.....
Solution for ISSUES #2 and #3 - Using the Mango ROM by elfinlazz you get the apps to install from Marketplace just like they used to with NODO and other apps. When games were installed however using existing XAP's (previously tested to work on NODO and original WP7 rom), some of these XAPS did not work. The reason has yet to be determined However if you are in desparate need of trying out Mango with some of your old XAPS feel free to use this ROM
ISSUE #4 - Xbox Live .....
I am not an avid fan of this feature ... but it bothered me when I got a pop up on my screen saying that apparently ... the ID is screwed ... and that you cannot sync to XBOX live via mobile ... so wave goodbye to all games which make use of online updates via XBOX live to work ... There are some games which come to mind which do this ... including that 3d puzzle game ... which always checks for XBOX Live connectivity prior to playing ... (can't recall the name so don't ask...) ... I am not a fan of mobile games but this sux..... kind of....
ISSUE #5 - IM not working .....
I cannot speak about facebook because I did not have the time to try it out as yet ... however , after running into issue #4 ... when I tried to connect to IM ... which is one of the key benefits of using mango . . . I am getting a "can't connect to IM " message ... be it if I go and tap tne "me" live tile ... be it if i go into the "messaging" section ... The mobile is unable to connect .... Now i really longed for this one .... On the other hand the comment (next to your profile ... the message you share ...) gets updated .... weird ..
Am tinkering about with different profiles and different regional settings (localization etc) are related to this... I recall that I had problems when trying to sync Zune with the system using a US profile ... This might be related (some food for thought anyone?)
ISSUE #6 - GPU Performance
Seems like the older ROMS (especially NODO) perform better GPUwise from what I have seen so far.... Video playback is laggy .... and HTML5 hype is not as should be on the HD2's .... I don't really think that the HD2 is incapable of running Mango smoothly ... I just think that M$ is behind this .... I won't get into this but I guess that just because of this I would not keep Mango on the HD2 .... Nodo worked a charm .. the development model used by M$ for WP7 is in favour of a lightweight OS with good performance simply because the main thread focusses on running the current task at hand ... if anything Mango should be faster not slower than previous builds! There must be something wrong here ...
ISSUE #7 - Twitter not working
While Facebook / Windows Live and Gmail synchronizations all work fine. I still did not manage to get twitter working. If you try create a Twitter account (in a similar way to creating other accounts) you get a redirection message ... and a grayed out button .... This remains so indefinitely ... Would have been cool to have this working together with IM....
Configuration Used:
I am running HD2 (512) using the DFT release of Mango ... Radio 2.15 ... and MGLDR 1.13 [Thanks for pointing out type .....] and just for the RECORD ... my SD Card works fine , it stores/retreives all data well so don't point this one out because it's not to blame besides it worked perfectly on all previous WP7 roms I used....
Cheers all and thanks for reading .... your suggestions are appreciated ...
Regards
Al

Thats why, I have none of those problems with This rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1157535
Just my personal experience.
Issue #1 That option is greyed out (in messaging) so it's not even possible for my to try it.
Issue #2 I have successfully side-loaded 3 apps. The HTC Flashlight, Htc Battery Tool and the Advanced Configuration Tool. Now they were not complete successes though. The Advnc Config Tl successfully deployed but the app wont wont open. I can only guess that it isn't compatible with Mango. I have not tried any other apps
Issue #3 I am not experiencing that problem. I did have to manually put in the APN settings, but after that it worked great.
Issue #4 On first flash i had that same problem but once i manually tried to sync windows live (after a few re boots) it worked fine as well. I also re flashed the same ROM a second time and i didn't get an error message that time.
I'm running elfinlazz's Green Mango with market.
Hope this input helps.

DFT Mango has exactly same problems as Mango with marketplace and sideloading. DFT mango by default just doesn't have marketplace and sideloading. All current releases of mango are from one source and have a lot of different bugs - just different people discovered different ones because of different working conditions. End of story.
PS i have personaly tried both of them and found same problems in both DFT and the other one.
I'm using elfinlazz' Green Mango, activated and I managed to sideload two games using Tom XAP Installer.
nice
its great i love it ...has only one thing ...battrey drain
but all rest working fine with me .

Have you tried a different sd card? Cause like I said, works for me. Battery drain is not as good as android but after the cam Corder trick it is very decent. Lasts 12 hrs with light/mod useage. Not great though.

Have you tried a different sd card? Cause like I said, works for me. Battery drain is not as good as android but after the cam Corder trick it is very decent. Lasts 12 hrs with light/mod useage. Not great though.

My sd card is perfectly working with all NODO and pre NODO ROMs - Sandisk 16gb class 4. I use it for few months already.
Many of apps don't work at all and big problem with bluetooth - can't load phone book to car's hadsfree - crash(works perfectly on NODO). Crash also when on charge in car with Navigon runing and calling with handsfree(NODO and pre NODO perfect). Better to have fully functional phone then fancy not completely working with Mango.

Some zaps like advanced config, and I noticed a few others don't work. You are right it is a little buggy but I have been using mine now for 3 days and what does work is everything I need. I use it as a Phone, My Bluetooth Headset works.Oakly Razrwire, it dials out and I recieve calls.
I DL a **** load of apps off Market place with Angry Birds becomming my addiction. I sideloaded around 12 apps. After I registed it with Microsoft, it installed the apps that I had loaded from the Market place via usb.I have over 100 songs on the phone that I got off Zune. I have a 16gb Patriot class 4 sd card in it. GPS is spot on, Live syncs with calendar and reminders pop up. My pictures I take upload to skydive, I have 3 pop 1 imap and yahoo mail that all are working fine. Linkedin I can;t get to work. Not sure why I would want to use Linkedin anyway. also, my voice dialing works great, speach to text does not.
Not sure why you are having your problems.

I really hope you meant MAGLDR 1.13
unless you are from DFT and are willing to leak it here.
I have also testet Mango on my HD2, but had do deinstall it for these reasons:
- sometimes Incoming mail where not shown content, only header
- sometimes attachements has not been included in the incoming mails
- Font in Mails are very blurry -like Cleartype has not been activated
- IE: the font is very blurry - like Cleartype has not been activated
- Problem with Marketplace: dowloaded games sometimes are not shown in games -> deinstalling or reinstalling so not possible
But i´am looki forward for the mango release for our HD2! It will be a new experiance!
Microsoft is on the right way with WP7!

my friend is using that card and it has mango issues as well he went back to Android because he'd just bought that card and didn't feel like trying another one. It may work fine with nodo but not mango. Just a thought, I mean I guess it's possible. And a note on the video, I'm not seeing that but I have noticed in audio (music or video audio) that it's choppy. However if you plug in headphones it works great. Who knows why.

BIG bug problem
ever since mango was released i've been playing with it and all prior roms I have flashed every thing worked fine i'm sure the bugs still need to be worked out since the official release isn't till later in the month
Biggest problem is the battery drain... other than that you can read my signature why I am waiting.

Could you be kind enough to specify country of origin and the profile whether your live id is from within the same country of origin please?
So say for e.g. You live in the US and your Live ID states that you are from the US?
Your input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Al
Works in beta 2 mango http://www.mobiletechworld.com/2011...edded-youtube-videos-and-fast-tabs-switching/ need this from beta 2.
Just a quick note about manually configuring APNs...
Go to this XDA page and download HTC's Connection Setup XAP. Side-load it (on elfinlazz's Mango) and run it.
It fixes data issues. It opens up all IM services. It makes Bing work (not the speech-to-text part but everything else). It allows you to properly use the integrated Facebook features.
As for battery issues: use software radio version 5.51T. I have found (both on NoDo and Mango) that it fixes battery life and connectivity issues.

Does this radio work on WWE mobiles? I am using a European version ....
As far as connection setup is concerned it's fairly simple to configure it in my country but will still give that program a go ... I had it sideloaded before ... Good to know that even in your situation Speech to Text is not working as well (at least I'm not alone experiencing this )
As for the rest will check and post back ...
