I received a mail from someone claiming to be from microsoft, that we should remove the unauthorized copy of wm2005 from our site.
i moved them to a temporary location.
until i get confirmation that the guy really is from microsoft, and which files he says are unauthorized.

wala na ko plano bro mag post pa ug procedure...sakit kaayo dughan nako sa mga uban nga gagong walay modo nga membro diri bai...anyway kung naka d/l ka ug 1.60a apil na sa attachment ang procedure...

search pangalan nako bai download tanan napost nako na installer kay hinay hinay nako tanggalun diri apil ang themes nako ug dialpad skins...

Will WM2005 work for the XDA 2i/ Alpine or whatever other name it is known as? Is this the official final version or just a beta version with lots of glitches which will cause my PDA no end of problems? Please advise as I do not want to mess up my little baby as she means more to me than anything else in the whole wide world...yes i love my PDA!

Trouble installing WM2005
I've installed the latest version of WM2005 1.60b but after installing I have seriuos trouble with ActiveSync; it doesn't automatically recognize the device when put on the cradle. I've tried Guest and other partnership status but both results in not good working link. Does any body have an idea what might cause the trouble?

bai xda2jojo, sorry for the late reply i was out of town for so long..anyways, successful kaayo akong pag-upgrade to magneto ! thanks kaayo sa imong efforts to make this thing works. don't mind anang mga gago nga members sa forum ... anyways, member pud ko ug airsoft diri sa cebu pero low-end sa among gigamit kay mahal pa kaayo sa among budget ang TM..hehehe

For us important is to have it to go back with bootloader to 1.04, so we need any version of that update, pls someone who can upload it to ftp

You IMEI number is also on you box, and posssibly on you receipt. If you still have one of those, you can look it up.

I think its not a new one. i downloaded the previous rom from that site and this one has the same size and same number.
When the previous rom was available i did get a mail from smartmobility and now i didn't get anyone.
So no new rom i guess.
Also the date when it is released is 15-08-06

The point here is that this ROM, even if is old, has Dutch language and a different CID (QTEK_203).
People who have CID = QTEK_203 on their Hermes and upgraded to something with bootloader 1.06 could not flash any other ROM because there are no other ROMs with this CID, and bootloader 1.06 does check it.
Whit this old ROM, they can downgrade to bootloader 1.04, and flash what they want again because the 1.04 bootloader doesn't enforce CID checking.
I guess it is clear now...

Hey, I want to go back to WM5 with this ROM (I want a dutch one) but when trying to go back from black 2.5 to this rom, it gives me an update error (your device is not connected on usb) can someone please help me?

Clearly the Dutch importer doesn't bother about providing ROM upgrades.
Still saying this is a new rom and that Active sync 4.2 is new.

There is no rom which you can call the best.. They all have pros and cons, and some have same bugs and some have some different bugs.. Try them out and find the one you think is the best for you..

Personally I like Fantastic Mobiz v1.1i the most. I used for a while, but after the new releases, I tried those. I want to go back to v1.1i again, but I cannot download it successfully. Does someone have a mirror (in one file)? TIA.

I'm a newbie, sorry for my questions and my poor english. I've already read the wiki, and read in forums a lot.My queston is: are these wm6 roms both for G3 and G4 models? How do I know if a rom is for G3 or G4 if it is not written on it?? (I don't really want to brick my phone) I've cid unlocked my G3 device (as it was written in the wiki) Now ipl is 2.09, spl 2.20.0000 and, the old rom becouse of the cid unlock (14409.1.1.2) and the original qtek extended rom. Do I have to do something with my extended rom (clear or uppgrade or delete?..) before flashing a wm6 rom, or just do the things what is written in the wm5->wm6 wiki? I'm looking forward to your answers, couse I couldn't get more information on the net, altought Im sitting here almost for three days

Hi Gaspara,
I'm a newbie as well , I have a G3 Imate JAMin, which i've upgraded to PDAViet 4.0.0.0.6, I've had a couple of issues since installing it, but I see a ton of people on this forum that show they have G3 device with this ROM and don't appear to be experiencing the same problems... I will say this, the PDAViet 4.0.0.0.6 is pretty awesome... TouchFLO is kewl, A2DP already built in and setup, Photo Contacts, External GPS automatically showing in Connections tab, keeps memory pretty free and clear and a whole lot of other cool stuff... For this, I really like it and there's NO WAY I would go back to my old JAMin WWE ROM downloaded from the Imate site...
The above having been said, I've had a couple of problems that pissed me off..
1. After following the WM5 -> WM6 Upgrade Guide, I received the Congratulations! screen and did a hard reset... After installing a couple of programs and setting up my Owner Info, Device ID, etc., I setup a PIN and locked phone... When I tried unlocking the phone it kept saying that the PIN i entered was incorrect, when I know that what I entered was the same pin that I setup... I had to do another hard reset and lost everything... ARGGHHH!
2. After doing the Hard Reset in (1.) above, which meant losing all the installed programs and the browser settings, etc. , I decided I was not going to get "fooled again" so to speak, so I setup the device, but made sure not to use a password, which worries me if my phone ever gets into "the wrong hands," but then I figured I don't have the SD card encrypted anyway, and that has a bunch of sensitive files on it, so I'd be screwed anyway and I figure i can live without locking my phone (however if any other readers out there know why this happened and can advise me on how to avoid it that would be gr8)... So, I logged onto a different computer than I originally had set a partnership with my device with, I downloaded ActiveSync 4.5 from Microsoft, and I attempted to sync the device via bluetooth... I had a program called BlueSoleil (trial version) installed on my computer which found my PDA, I connected it allowing serial port and i forget what the second service was, but anyway... After several attempts to sync the device over bluetooth, by creating outgoing ports, by choosing different incoming ports on both the desktop and PPC I gave up... A short while later I noticed that my devices battery had dropped to about 40% or so... Soon after that it was even lower and the screen stopped responding... I tried a Soft reset, nothing happened... Finally after hitting just about every button and praying, I did a hard reset and lost all my data again...
So, now if I'm not leaving anything out I'm on my third go around, I've put nice little pictures of friends and family on my HTC TouchFLO contact list, my browser settings are all up and running, i've reloaded the programs and serial numbers, and everything is going well, mind you it's been approximately 24 hours... I don't expect it to continue going well, and I hope that I can find this thread again to give an update... But in any case, I want to hear about other peoples experience and I'll try to check back here to see if anyone knows why I've had the problems mentioned in this posting...

how about if you flash a rom in english? that's what i would do.
another way is to install real vga (lets you change the resolution and the langueage)

flash pk 3.0 ROM its fast (i bet faster than the rom you currentlly have), has more options and its better overall and the most important thing it's in english.

first put the olipro spl so you make your expensive athena in a nice brick.

remember do install olipro hard-spl first then install pk 3.0 rom and you are all done.

You forgot to mention to him that it's VERY important that he has a fully charged battery before he performs any of the process mentioned to him. And to make sure if he's doing it from his laptop that it's also running on AC/DC and not battery power. Come back and tell us about PK 3 which by the way I use (Fast and Sweet)

i tried guys to instal hard spl... i follow the steps till my athena ask me to install enter bootloaderexe and then jump spl exe, and after nothing.... error 260 connection...
i thing i have seen on the screen SPL 1.01 .... or something like this into bootscreen for 1 second....maybe i have to use RUU WRAPPER ?

i used athena unlocker by olipro...only first step and then oficial english wm6....its working very well. now Im wondering if can i put on it pk3 or wm6.1?which is the best?tnx guys....

pk 3.0 all the way. or wait for pk4.0 its coming but i dont know when.
