Calligrapher doesn't run on this Rom Ver. 6.0.7.0 Any ideas?
be more specific. How it cant run? Install properly? wat else SIP and Today Plugin did u install?

It says in the notes that there are several IMEs (pcm Keyboard...I think CE star) which do not work. On another thread about Chinese IMEs, they noted that most are not working. This is, to me, the worst part about this ROM... I may need to go to another rom because for whatever reason, non-default IMEs are not working.
Well...they sometimes work right after a soft reset...and then fail.
I have English Rom version O2 Xda Atom Pure! Calligrapher worked before on 0.3.0 and original roms. Just this rom won't work on!
try to install G4 SIP Tweak.cab make pcm keyboad as default SIP, it works for me....

Jiggs I know you are busy however I'd just see if there could be any work arounds so I can run Calligrapher. I have tried the suggested "sip change" programs mentioned and also tried sk tools etc. Only if you have time of course! I'd be very grateful. Thanks again for your wonderful work
I have just tested the latest version of caligrapher on my new build. It works perfectly
Caligrapher is cool, but the application is large
I agree with Jiggs. Nice software though.

Calligrapher v8.5 works fine for me w/6M pagepool.
Calligrapher uses a LOT of memory. It seems to fail to run when you have too many today plugins (or a few using lots of memory). Here are the things to try:
1. Go to options and set Calligrapher to be the default SIP on reset.
2. Reset the device.
If it still doesn't work:
3. Disable ALL of your today plugins.
4. Reset the device.
If it works now, decide which today plugins you can't live without and turn them on one by one until Calligrapher stops working.

Tried my first ROM with the kitchen on here. Used the latest essentials rom rather that the touch rom but added all the touch components within the OEM folder.
IT WORKED!!! Storage card ok, bluetooth ok. Touch flow ok. Just one problem........
Phone would not work. Doh!
Could not register on the network.
Any ideas why?

some needed drivers are missing somewhere, anyway did you turn off the phone when running the upgrade ie do it in flight mode??

I always update in flight mode. don't like the idea of receiving a message whilst doing it.
You would think that with the phone working in the rom kitchen original rom and the essentials donor rom that there would have been more than enough working drivers.

try comm manager -> settings -> phone if it asks for your pin..

there shouldn't be any reason for changing anything with because I used essentials rom and added the touch stuff and some more oems
arent you using 10 buttons comm manager? that is one of the problems, if you make oem package from commonly distributed cab, you should mod its registry to work correctly. it contains many obsolete entries and also some preventing GSM activation.

Normally I install VC as the first application on a new build / hard reset to avoid any issues. At present, I just finished installing a ton of other applications and then realized that forgot to install VC first and now it is refusing to activate after an error free installation. e.g. it isn't working...
Any thoughts on how to fix VC or force it to work?
I have toggled enable/disable, but no joy... (all that I am gettting is a busy pin wheel for a few seconds and then nothing at all, even after several resets...)
Any thoughts?

Have you tried the Fix originally designed for AP2 but also working on AP 3 ?

In my past experience, if VC isn't installed right after a fresh load it is unhappy with being installed at a later time. I think that the fix is only for folks like me that forgot to place that application higher up on the installation list during this time around...

did you try hard reset, because mine works just fine . i dunno about others in here
What rom are you running and did you perform a Hard Reset after installing the current rom?
The HR after an upgrade may seem trivial but it can eliminate many issues and is considered a "Best Pratice".

I am using the irus full WM6.1 Rom.
I have tried several times a hardreset and also the irus 6.1 Vanilla - but it didn´t work. I have tried the original T-MO WM6 and it works fine but the rest of this Rom is ****. I want to use the irus rom with a working built in encryption. i don´t want to use other encryption software but i want my data to be encryptet :-(
Well i can't comment on the current Irus roms because I have not tried them, I also like to have encryption. I have been using the encryption option that is built in to Resco Explorer (One of my Must Have Apps) Not sure if this helps but it is a thought.

thanks - the resco explorer encryption is ok but i would prefer an on-the-fly encryption - the WinMobile built in encryption is also good because you don´t need a password and it is fast.

So far so good. Keyboard issue when typing in an address has (finally) been fixed. The screen orientation problem has (finally) been fixed. Seems fairly fast. Scrolling is "progressive" now, which will take some getting used to (the spot under your stylus moves slightly faster up and down than your stylus is actually moving).
this build has several problems
1. Fonts overlap each other if large fonts are chosen.
2. it is impossible to enter text or select a link at zoom out mode.
The best version for me is 1184.
Also for me it was very resource hungry , though I did like the variable zoom
I haven't been able to get Flash to work, although the other thread says that Windows 6.1 builds below 20000 may have issues and mine (AP4) is in the 19000's. I guess I wait a little longer. Then we need a browser that supports Java...

I can confirm that opera 1957 works with my rom build 19588 i have only tested it on youtube.com but it works pretty good

Wish it were so easy, but I always operate with the proxy unchecked. Did that a long time ago because under AP4 the weather app on the today screen won't work unless the proxy is unchecked.

Note that for me, using AT&T in the US, I first had to go somewhere else (don't remember where) and switched from using the "Internet" connection to the "Media Net" connection. There was no proxy switch available when I was using the "Internet" connection.

well i removed flash 2.1 and reflashed my rom and it worked

that might be 1 of the problems (not sure) but the real problem is that you have flash 2.1 cooked into the rom it need to be removed from the rom and reflash. i don't have time to do that but you can ask michy to do it for my rom and repost, i don't have a problem with that. I did not make my rom undumbable or anything stupid like that or you can get my kitchen and do it yourself.

Is it possible to remove it manually (clean files and registry)? I really would like to avoid reflashing the ROM since I have setup my Athena just right and I do not want to go through setup again if not absolutely necessary. Youtube is not a must, just would be nice to browse clips occasionally ...

well from everthing i read you need to uninstall flash 2.1 before loading flash3 and since flash 2.1 is cooked into the rom there really is no other way. one thing i can suggest is using the sdconfig.txt file to load all of your apps, if you search, i have posted a how to on using sdconfig to load email settings and connection settings so on hard rest you don't have to do a thing but use your device. it might take a little reading and some time but in the end its worth it. hope this helps

as I've switched to wm6.5 recently, i'm currently using my phone a lot... unfortunately, i also recognized, that i'm having strange problems since switching... after installing all my cab files and applying all my tweaks, etc. the OS will not launch any apps anymore, followed by not booting after a softreset, i have to hard reset. this is happening on any ROM so far, and i've tried letting several cabs i need out, however it still results in that kind of crash...
anyone having similar experiences? or is there a fix for this?
WM6.5 is not yet very stable, some crashes appear ramdomly as far as I can see too...
And I think some "old" stuff is not really compatible with it (I think there are more changes than the UI in 6.5)
Let's hope newer releases will correct thoses crashes...

yep, i guess you're talking about normal "lock-ups"...however i HAD hardresets...
i was able to fix it by just reflashing the stock 6.1 rom, and then flashed back to 6.5 without switch radio... its working fine until now... i'm gonna report if i have any problems
I've noticed the same. When I go to File Explorer and My Device, it seems most of the files have been deleted, including the windows folder, and the remaining ones have been corrupted (they have names like b[]). If I try to restart the device it won't boot and requires a hard reset.
I've also noticed that this happens after I've synced with ActiveSync for the SECOND time.
EDIT: This issue does not occur with d_train's ROM.
Freezing keyboard

With 6.5 roms (what I've been tested) my Niki100 freezes when I starting to enter a name (with soft keyboard) in the new mail/SMS address field. Hard keyboard works perfectly...

I tried with WM6.1 and it freezes too. I think the Full QWERTY keyboard do this...

well, these issues have stopped for me, after reflashing the stock 6.1 rom! maybe you should try that as well
