What's really the difference between this release and the Dopod WM6 from a month ago. I am using it for a couple of weeks now without any bugs. So does it really worth upgrading to this version coz installing again all the software that I use would cost me a lot of time

My P3400 turned into P3400i
just flashed my GENE ..everything works gr88 except...i cant send SMS ..its says phone is not ready wait for 15 seconds .... and also cant access phone settings (settings>>personal>>phone)...same way..says again that wait 15 secs....
one thing more... my SPL changed from olip.....and now i cant flash it to other ROM.... may b need to do tht SPL stuff again...

May be you can't flash other roms except htc's.....

For those of you who are testing this new rom it would be very helpful if you give us your evaluation of it and if possible compare it to other roms.
I am presently using Irus' Ultra Vanilla and I am so pleased with it that I would only venture a change if I were convinced of improvements to it.

Nothing beats experiencing it personally.
Just back up your Ultra Vanilla with spb sprite. If you don't like this, just reflash Ultra Vanilla and restore. There's very little effort involved really.
Okay, I'll call it a night early as I have an early golf game tomorrow. Will give feedback after I've given this the time it deserves. Thanks MiChY.

I saw an additional CHS fonts package inside but not CHT ... so I donno if i do Traditional Chinese or not ...

confirmed it has the simplified chinese input method, no full screen chinese writing, simplified chinese font but can show traditional chinese correctly.
not much oem stuffs, just ie / opera links. not bad. just ported to touch hd ... woo ... it has 90mb of free memory after bootup, resource usage is totally different in rom.

What about the letter scroll in the manila contacts page? are there English letters or Chinese? thanks

everything else in english ... except wince.nls that support chinese, s. chinese font, and s. chinese input method.
seems it is just for singapore, vietnam etc s.e. asia countries, hk should have another rom with traditional chinese ...

Hi , no as you will get a Country Code error . You have to use the Custom RUU ( Sticky at the top of the page)
Place the ROM file in the same folder as the RUU and off you go.
Tip: To get the ROM file start the .exe HTC ROM upgrade file and move forwards to the point of flashing. DO NOT Cancel .
Do a search for an .NBH file . It should show up in your temp directory under a funny named directory.
Copy the NBH file into another directory on your desktop add the RUU file and off you go .

Did everything you said but still getting the country code error.
same here...
i think its impossible to flash new rom without HardSPL.
