I bought a spv m600, i want unlock it, it follow the threat with WIKI, and i found the code for unlocking, great !!
But when i put on my phone my sim card, the celle phone say that my sim card is missing !!!
It s a G4 version

Im still looking for my hermes and i found a good oocasion with e new, boxed and not even unlocked orange varioII spv 3100 (the guy said its 1 week old).
Since the device is still sim locked, id like to know (since i read some posts about troubles for unlocking this device) if there is any known issue about unlocking the phone for example with the new HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3 from Pof.
Another stupid question (dont have fun of me for asking it ) that i have not been able to answer for my self looking up in the forum: to sim-unlock the orange m3100, do i need to have a orange sim??can i do this without any sim in the phone?

I Unlocked My SPV M3100 No Trouble With Pof's Unlocker. As Long As You Can Get Into Windows On The Phone Then No Sim Card Is Required.

I have been looking around for a way to unlock the sim for my qtek A9100 in spanish. I understand than the sim unlock is diferent that CID unlock. I happy with the ROM I have, I just want to unlock the Sim for use the phone with another carrier, I'm with movistar Mexico.
My especifications are:
ROM 2.26.17.1 ESN 06/07/06
RADIO 02.44.11
EXT ROM 2.26.17.101
Any way I can do it?. Any sugestions?

im werner from germany and first there are excellent people in this forum. many thanks to this peoples. my problem is designed as following. by the way i am a great newbee in pda.
i get a second hand qtek 2020 from vodafone as a gift and i want to upgrade to any english version. i have to install some programs in english so i dont want install the programms on a german user interface.
so i had read and read and read postings in this forum an finally i upgraded my device to helmis version of wm2005. my device is working properly but when i want to phone i see "no service" in the display. so i have upgraded to radio version 1.18. same problem. can anyone in the forum help me to fix this issue??

does it work with other simcards as some sim cards are simply incompatible with some devices
and did you unlock the sim lock ?

many thanks for your help , i tried it once more and installed the rom on my phone again. i did not make the hard reset on my phone correctly. the phone and i hope all programs works now very properly.

I had a UK Orange SPV M3100 which I SIM unlocked and also upgraded to WM6 Black Satin... this was a great phone and worked very well for me. I now have a Kaiser and gave my upgraded M3100 to my brother. However, his IT department at work won't allow him to put the latest version of Activesync on his PC (God knows why, but there you go...). WM6 requires this updated version of Activesync.
So, my question is this:
What is the best WM5 ROM out there?
I assume as I have CID and SIM unlocked the phone, these will not need to be done again. Also, am I right in thinking that he may be limited to a 2GB micro SD card with WM5?

i downgraded my ATT 8525 back to WM5 after realizing WM6 was just too sluggish on the phone. So i just went back to the original shipped version of att/cingular wm5 listed on xda-dev wiki here:

you can find your orange wm5 rom there, just look for the latest version...hope that helps
Thanks for the reply... I am wondering if the Official Orange ROM (linked to on the page you referenced) will install OK, given that I have Hard SPL on my M3100? Will I need a specially re-wrapped version of the Orange ROM to install correctly on my SPV M3100?
Any feedback greatly appreciated!
