Hi,
I just bought a Softbank X01HT recently. Flashed to the most recent HTC ROM.
I didn't set up my softbank email before I flashed it. But now I can't sign up for one cuz I can't read Japanese on the Mysoftbank website.
Can anyone help me walk thru it?
It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
s-mail
hi there fellow gaijin... ^_^
try to go to a softbank shop.
ask help on how to setup your s-mail.
you'll need to access the yahoo keitai site to create your
[email protected] mail. however, x01ht cannot access
yahoo keitai for some reasons. you can search the forum
about how to enable yahoo keitai access on your x01ht.
however, an easier way is to go to a softbank shop. they will setup your
s-mail account for you.
if you flashed a non-softbank rom, then we both have the same
problem. you'll have to setup MMS using arcsoft or MMSLite.
try to read this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298919&highlight=arcsoft+hermes
i tried setting up MMSLite on my x01ht but i can't get it to work T_T
pls let me know if you get yourself lucky.
Managed to get mine working
Hey guys,
I managed to get my MMS working with my Softbank X01HT (black, unlocked, WM6).
First, just go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298031
Follow the instructions on how to install the Softbank connection AP, then install MMSLite.
After it should all work
To setup a softbank email address, make sure you have added the softbank AP (only if you upgraded to WM6 or changed your ROM), and installed MMSLite. Then go here: http://mb.softbank.jp/mb/en/support...ail_setting/email_address/index.html#computer
Follow the instructions, and it'll send you a temp password to your X01HT in order to configure messaging settings.
After that you can change your email address and enjoy direct-pushlike email!
Enjoy!
Proxy or No Proxy?
try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=288136&highlight=mmslite
I got mine working using MMS Composer and MMS Resender.
However, MMS Resender downloads all the MMS messages from the server >.<
Try MMSLite.
MMS Composer 3.5.1.24C + MMS Resender 1.2 works for me!
The title says it all.
Note that MMS Resender needs the VFJP Network connection setup.
See the link on my previous reply for more info.

Hello everybody!
I have upgraded my Qtek 2020 to unofficial WM2003SE by Dr.Stein. In the new ROM I have found the new MMS Composer by ArcSoft version 2.0.0.13, but it doesn't work fine:
1) I cannot send and receive MMS cause it connects GPRS (by Vodafone MMS
settings), but after hang in receiving process... until it fails.
2) I have found in the Server Tab a lot of unnamed servers that I cannot remove; The only way was to delete all the keys in the registry HKLM/Software/Arcsoft/.../mm1 (it seems to be all the servers configured; all of them about URI=http://vxpix.com/servlets/mms)
3) After deleting, the server list is clean, but sometimes the vxpix server come back (1 or more)... and MMS still doesn't work... cause I cannot set up my Vodafone Italy settings...
I have red about this problem on this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=13817
Can someone help me? thank's in advance...
Cristian
OK... now it Works...
After removed all, and made a new configuration... it worked.... good...
thank's the same...

MMS composer settings problem?
That unamed servers keep on apearing, I tried a lot of things now, out of ideas! removed them all and created my own, they keep on coming back! What can I do next?
RE
I read somewhere that v2.0.0.13 has to be compatible with your telco carrier file for it to work.
In my case v2.0.0.13 is NOT compatible with my telco carrier, SingTel.
However, by reverting back to v1.6.0.8 taken from the original O2 XDA II WM2003 ROM v1.60.00 it WORKS!
Thanks for the idea, but like some people I'm not very clued up with all this, How can i revert back to the previous version? Do you maybe have a cab file for me that I can install? If you can tell me what programs to use and how to use it i will do that too!
Hi,
No atter what I do I cannot get the MMS account under outlook WM2003SE to appear.
I have tried everything to get it there but it doesnt exist.
Does anyone know how I can get it there?
I have set up the MMS settings properly( although I cant test it because I cant send an mms!!!!)
PLEASE HELP!!!!!
A.
Ive re flashed to the excellent rom by Vlodeck all is good apart from not being able to received or download mms. I can send mms ok and i can send mms to myself which open ok but all others will not download. Anybody got any ideas?
Have you configured gprs correctly?
All sttings for o2 in the uk have been confirmed. this was after i tried the auto detect. I can send an mms to myself which opens fine suggesting that I have the correct settings but when i try to open an mms I have received it doesnt download. Tried new settings from o2 this morning and messgae downloads to 4% before I get the message stating unable to download message. Prior to o2 this phone was on t mobile on wm5 and worked fine, could it be something to do with the file type in trying to open? Many thanks for your help.
I have to say, I've never used MMS feature on my charmer. Maybe someone could confirm whether or not MMS works.
It may have something to do with the text format, not sure though.
I reflashed the same rom and managed to recieve an mms from another o2 customer! This was after I resized the mazimum file size to 100k, not 300k. Later on one of my previous messgaes from somebody else tried to download again but would not complete. Im at a loss?
Ask your friend to MMS a single picture to you (below 100kb). See if it works.
All messages were less than 100k to start with. I have tried a new sim card which is still the same. I can receive from o2 but not other operators. I did try to flash back to the t mobile wm5 rom to start again but even that has failed now as I get an error message 260 pop up! looks like im stuck with a partially installed wm6. any advice on how downgrade to wm5 so I can start from fresh will be appreciated.
Ive just read a thread relating to problems with o2 and mms. seems to me that the problem I have is that o2 doesnt recognise my device from the settings that are stored on my device. Does anybody have a list of the registry relating to mms from a wm5 rom? (I would ahve flashed back but seem unale to at the mo)
As the title says, I flashed an un official cooked rom but there is no place for the MMS settings. when I try to 'send' a picture MMS isn't even an option. i'm with AT&T. I've dug around in the forms and can't seem to find a solution
Please Help, and thank you.
Instal an arcsoft.cab. Many different builds.
Then, if your ROM has it, run he network setup wizard. Otherwise do a search and install that too...
Cheers...
Hello
I got a big problem that i can't resolve alone. I configure a new APN on my tab and i can access 3G+ but it seems my MMS profile doesn't work. I can't send or receive any MMS....
I join 2 different configurations for Android , one for HTC and the second for Samsung galaxy tab. Anyone can give me any solution to sent an MMS with that?
Thanks a lot!
Pleaaaaassssse help!
I don't know about samsung tab but if it happen to me I will flash a new rom.
Sent from my ViewPad7 using xda premium
It would be helpful to post a little more details on your Vpad7 basics so that maybe, one of us can help figure it out or test our ROM:
Let's take a simplistic step-by-step approach first -
a. are you using stock/factory ROM or rooted, custom ROM including verison #
b. your mobile carrier for the SIM card, both SMS and MMS enabled & working on another quad-band GSM phone
c. SMS working on the Vpad7 as is - both incoming & outgoing
d. using the default Messaging feature/module installed or using something else,
and if you haven't try it already, download & use Handcent for SMS/MMS
f. if you have already done all or some of the above, do a Master Reset on the Vpad7 first to clear all the existing settings, boot into RECOVERY to wipe dalvik/cache/system, and then flash, as suggested, a different custom ROM.
g. any technical support or help from your mobile phone carrier
Cheers - mastering everything on the V is a challenge !
First , i've tried with standard rom. No succes. Then i flashed my vpad7 , installed TJ's rom and... same problem.
BTW you're true , i'll try my sim on another phone , try MMS. And i'll try to put another sim in my vpad7 too.
But , i just think one little thing is missing , because when i look at the other froyo's config , some little thing are changing between diferent phone model.
So , i think viewpad need a personnal configuration.
I got Gosms and tried to configure MMS on the program settings , but same problem.
I've called the technical support but can't help me and told me : "we have some configuration on website , try these , if it don't work , not our fault"
Thanks for your help
Does anyone can send me any working config for MMS on viewpad 7? Just want to see what's different.
THANKS...
These are mine under Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile Network > APNs, they're OTA/downloaded automatically & self-configured
AT&T MMS (wap.cingular)
Proxy (Not Set)
Port (Not Set)
Username & Password (Not Set)
Server (Not Set)
MMSC (http://mmsc.cingular.com)
MMS proxy (66.209.11.32)
MMS port (80)
MCC (310)
MNC (410)
Authentication (Not Set)
APN type (mms)
Note - these are nearly identical to AT&T WAP, which is usually configured for web browsing with data enabled.
Ok , i tried all solutions and then:
My sim works on other phone , i can send MMS .
Another Sim on my viewpad ( different operator) , once configured , worked. So it's not a viewpad or sim problem , just a Digicel configuration problem.
Any solution?
