Well, Here is a special edition of Crystal roms
I called this edition Personal Edition because it's my own personal rom. I made it the way I like it. There were no beta for this release and there will be no further support for this Rom (not from me, busy studying) If you liked Crystal V3 speed, you will love this one .
Is it bug free ?! hell I don't know ! maybe it works for you the same way it works on my prophet , maybe it wont. Try it yourself . I had no problem with it in past 2 weeks .

If you didn't like HTC action Screen or even Home plugin , you can remove it from Crystal4\ExtROM folder . you also have to edit the Config.txt

well all those stuff can be somehow remove from external_rom even the HTC Home plug in ! This Rom is fast that's all i can say.

Well , It's better than Crystal V3. At least on my phone . so try it yourself. Sorry digifan as i said this is my personal rom. so it doesn't support chinese region. I can change the wince.nls but then i wont know if it's stable anymore.

This version has no cube.. but that thread looks intresting might want to do something with Prophet Touch V7
LOOKS CUTE, i am going to test it. Hate cube thing so you know that i appreciate your decission to leave that turning thing out.
What about the camera? is it the new one with propper consumption?
And managed to charge it in the car-plug?
By the way, as i downloaded step 2 now i have to wait to download step 1. What is step1 is it the same as pdaviet for instance? Maybe we can use it as well. (!)

Step one is just for temporal WM5 flashing. As far as I know, you can use any WM5 rom for that.

It charges with my car charger and usb but I still have the batfix in ext rom

yup, the first 2 splash screen are installed in the same way as we upgrade the ROM of a device, and the third splash its either installed by a .cab or directly replaced in the windows directory.
anyways first impression so far, seems fast and stable.
here are a few points i did notice:
1. beam is enabled by default
2. the blue overall theme of the rom is amazing, though the background is kinda dull.

Is there other changes? Is it the new camera? Is it considered a new TNT or is a new TNT coming also? What will be the changes in Touch v7?
I'm confused. You're doing such a great job with all this roms i don't know what to choose...

this is something inbetween Touch and TNT.
the idea is to make it multi language.
It's also an alternative for those that are tiered of the black themes and the Cube.
Is there any difference between this file and the nanoscopic beta?

The beta had TouchFLO so there is a good chance that this version also has it.

Make sure you have read : New WM6 Upgrade Guide
If you haven't HardSPL then you have to do Step 1 and Step 2 of that guide.
Download the CrystalV5
Removed the Links, I Will upload the updated version as soon I fixed the bugs
Make sure you know if your device is G3 or G4 (read the guide)
Run ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3.exe or ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G4.exe.
Follow the instructions on the screen

Known Bug
well this rom has certificate issue, meaning that you can not install programs that are not signed ! I found this bug after releasing the rom and I'm working on it. I will release an update and a patch later on.

Okay great ! Gonna see if i can find the link so i can change the pagepool to 12 mb..
EDIT .. Okay i checked out paradis pal's solution for changing pagepool, but the OS has to be version. 4.0.0.0 or 6.0.0.0 and this new Crystal is 2.20.. What can i do to change the page pool ?

why do you need the os.nb ?! you can extract it yourself from the nbf file. It's waste of time to upload it here. also with the old method you wont get the bigstorage. you HAVE TO use the new method.

actually I just want to edit the Ext.Rom ( added Adobe Reader LE in it). So it would be better for me. 'Coz I read much pdf file in my XDA.
I know with the old methode I can't get the bigstorage.
Anyway I will try to extract the nbf file. Dunno how to do.. But I'll search the way for it.

I am curious, is there a way to modify the rom as we would like, just like the Kitchen provided by Gullum, for his IX and X...., this question came to me because of the new way of upgrading......, b4 we could work with the OS.nb file modify it and after make it "nk" and after update.
So is there a way to work with the nk file, for instance for removing couple application.

Rough when this will be ready huh?
I tried the Shadow. It's great. But strangely, I don't find it's fast. Even slower than Mysterious, especially after install Touch Keyboard/Keypad. It's sluggish even. I love Touch Keypad so much.
The rest all working fine.
One more thing on Shadow. Whenever I reset (be it hard or soft), when it prompt for SIM card pin number, if I enter it immediately, the GPRS will not work (NO SERVICE) and time display on the HTC Home will go freeze. But, if I wait for 10 second or so then enter, everything will work perfectly. Didn't try to disable the pin though. Or I guess it's got something to do with the password thing (password remembered even after soft reset) that you fixed? This is not so crucial though. The speed however is very irritating.
question:
1. If already patch to shadow clean version how should i patch the shadow
touch? Is it just run the Rom_update_.... ?
2. Both shadow clean and touch are BS, if tends to go back to WM5 2.20
how? 2.20 is not BS.
3. Can we just made the WM5 2.20 become BS?

there are some problems with the theme
the theme(showed in screen shoots) doesnt get installed
its in the package but cant use it
but if i instal it from a cab later on it doesnt effect the internal storage
so if u want i can upload the ROM and provide u the theme cab
rest is working great!!
ALSO SHOULD I COOK MANILLA IN THIS ROM??

First of all Great work Jyot!!!
we all would love to use manila 2d in this rom integrated.its a clear yes from me
but kindly make a note of all the tabs in manila(specially music tab the new one from Jade rom) works absolutely fine.and don't forget to install advance task manager 2
A few suggestions:
S2P is an awesome music application which i feel EVERYONE USES...its not a demand from me to be precise.but would love it if its integrated in the rom
Plus SLICK is a very good ppc mobile messenger.(my last suggestion)
honestly speaking...these 2 apps do not take much space and are WORTH to use.After all its your descision.do not make a rom too heavy.it would be good if u integrate EZinput keyboards too in the rom...they are a headache to install seperately.

I actually see no reason to include these apps in the ROM. I personally feel that all that can be installed out of phone memory should not be included in ROM and all these apps can be. Thats strictly wasting the phone memory which is needed for many more purposes anyways.
And as for the instant messenger, i guess Palringo is also a good option.

Agree with you, palringo is the best IM for me.
IM+ is good also, but it is not freeware, and because of it's not freeware the rank down from best to good for me...

True...but the best part is...even if the app is coocked in the rom it wont run in the background and make the gene slow.
on the contrary i still feel we can add it in our roms.
palringo is really a good messenger.agreed now after using slick n getting errors.

As far as I know, there is no TRIAL edition for coreplayer.

how do we put the applications in specific folders while cooking the rom, i want to put them seperatily in Additional/internet/applicaiton folders.
Rakesh Buddy, nice ROM and all, but Core Player is not free, Remove it from your ROM. If its TCPMP, the older freeware version then its ok, change the name in your first post then, but no version of Core Player is free. And that guy, he has also posted 2 games for downloads which are not free as far as i know so dont follow him. And he may be referring to TCPMP too.

I did have a long chat with + q ppc regarding core player.Best part is,as a proof, anyone can download a core player from the official site.Yes,the software will ask u for registration as its not free and in the about screen it does show unregistered and reminds u for registration.
Where as when u try this specific build, the scenario is completely different.It does specify that u are using a version which is specifically made for a particular build,thats 6909 for ARM.
Do try out both the cabs to see the real difference.

Its funny, I just posted a thread to clear the confusion in the forum. But no new chef seems willing to listen to 'non chefs' (not that funny though). Have you noticed his new title "forbidden build". That build's link has been removed by mods and he has also removed the links. When did you folks last check his thread?
