Looks like Spanish carrier Movistar is about to launch the XDAII under its own TSM 500 brand and name.
Anybody on the forum has further news about?
Will the new ROM be available anytime soon?
sort of
yes, I've heard that too... but that's about all I know...
At my company we got 5 TSM 400 for free (as in beer) from Telefonica... I'm looking forward to the new TSM 500....
I'll post a link whenever I have further news...
Movistar has already posted the model on its page, and even has been introduced in the Points exchange program. So it's out there!
The only -minor- point to note, is that is has been introduced well before anyone expected. Plus the price is absolutly reasonable, on-line with the market
Will keep looking around to get the Spanish ROM image.
Expansys is already offering too the XDA-II Spanish version on pre-sale status.
Not anyone yet with the Spanish ROM?
Also interested. I'm ataching to this thread to keep informed.
Hi, I am looking for a replacement for the backup battery of my Qtek 9090, which was drained by the previous owner (left it in a drawer for several months without main battery on) and doesn't hold the charge anymore.
I have the following link, but it is out of stock. Any help is appreciated.
http://www.cellpacksolutions.com/varta-microbattery/rechargeable/HyRate/data_sheets/DS55802.htm
BTW, first post, so hi to everybody in the forum.
Regards,
I have been told that the V18 HRT is the backup battery for my BA. If I used a V20 HR, which apparently has the same characteristics, only a slightly higher mAh, would it be the same?
ebay it
There's like a billion on ebay.
Put this in the search:
(xda iis, m2000, mda iii, xda 2s, mda 3, sx66, pda2k) battery
Actually, that search only gave me MAIN batteries, but not the Varta buttons. Can you give me a direct link to one of the auctions you mentioned? There is also the chance that they are only selling to the US and the system is automatically deleting them from the search.
My bad, missed the 'backup' part of your original question. Try this;

Thank you!

I guarantee that they are brand new and directly bought from Varta Germany Aug. 2009 (I only request battery cost and shipping in the hopes to help out some proud Qtek9090 owners.) They are hard to come by.
Hi
I have an T-Mobile MDA III (German, I think the same model Buzz has/had) with a cracked LCD display.
From what I can pick up on these boards I need the following LCD replacement:
Sony ACX502BMV-7 - however, the board I have received from a supplier on eBay is the following: Sony ACX502BMU-7518J11D, 60H00015-01, designed for a Dopod 700.
Before I open the packaging, can anyone tell me if this part is suitable for my MDA III.
Its been broken for some time now and I want to get it going again now that I am feeling better and ready for WM5.
Reply most appreciated.
Kindest regards
Janeway
I think so: http://msmobiles.com/news.php/3173.html
Hi LGSilva, unfortunately not that simple, there is more than one lcd screen for the BA, I just need to know if the LCD model quoted will work with my unit.
The Dopod 700 is certainly one of the many HTC clones, but some of the units have slightly different specs etc including different LCD displays/boards etc.
See this link: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Partnumbers
If anyone knows for sure, please let me know.
Kindest regards
Janeway
If the second part number "60H00015-01" on your new screen is the same on the WIKI then probably it isn't it.
60H00015-01 Sony ACX502BMU ipaq 4355 3.5" LCD 240x320
60H00018-00 Sony ACX502BMV HTC Blueangel 3.5" LCD 240x320
Thanks for your thoughts LGSilva - kinda thought the same but was hoping maybe someone had tried and succeeded
Ah well, it'll have to go back at least I didn't open the package.
Kindest regards
Janeway
Is it possible to send a document or link with instructions how to replace the touch screen on a Qtek 9090,it's the same model.
i have bought a screen on ebay, but don't know where to begin.
Thanks in advance,
Jos
Hi Jos - hope you have the right screen for your Qtek 9090
Here's a link, complete with some pics: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=DIS_BA_PICS
Best of luck, just be careful not to break anything, some of the parts are quite easy to break from what I've heard.
Janeway

Hey Jos, glad to hear it all went well.
My pda's in bits at the moment awaiting a new LCD and screen.
Weather not so good here, though it's dry with a little sun at the moment. Long may it continue.
Kindest regards, Janeway
I have a Cingular 8125 that has been unlocked and is running the latest WM6.1 Professional TNT Rom. I was thinking it is worth like $100. Everthing comes with it. The case, charger, and transfer cable. I think I have the box somewhere also.
Hope I am not stepping on any toes selling it here on the forum. I like the phone, but it just has too many features for me. I'll reflash a fresh copy before it ships out. I can take paypal. Thanks!
Ok best offer...it is a great little device. It is just not for me. Anyone?
You might want to try ebay or posting to a different section of the forum, as this section is about WM6 upgrading.
8125
I might be willing to purchase it. I need to check up on the Rom to see if it is what I would use. Do you have a link or something to the software that comes with it? Would you accept $80.00 for it?
just sent you a PM.
80$
i am from india and want to buy it in 80$.
