A friend of mine has bought LG optimus 4x Hd. I looked at it and what i see is the LG Rom is very very similar to Samsung?
Because they copied the ui and call it with their own crap name

Don't worry about it. Apple will probably sue them.
Hi everyone,
So the question is simple: how hard is to port a firmware that is designed for one android device to another android device?
The devices in question is Samsung Gear Live and LG G Watch R. Both have the same cpu model and same tech specs. While Samsung has square LCD display, LG G has a round LCD display. I am assuming both have different components and drivers for bluetooth/wifi, barometer and other sensors.
However, this should be mostly doable if I can compile kernel modules for the missing drivers, yes?
Hello,
I just sold my lg v30 + and I bought the mate 10 pro.
On the LG V30 + there is a parameter that allows you to change the resolution or/and the fluidity of a game.
Is there any option like this in this phone ?
Thanks to read and to help me
recently Microsoft released its much awaited Microsoft surface duo emulator for developers and i think many of you might already be on it & opens the possibility to port Microsoft surface ROM to our lg g8x dual.

It would be pretty nice, but somehow tricky to do no?
Yes. I just learn the developer kit and there's no different vs LG dual screen sdk. Other than hinge masking.
Surface duo, zte Axon m use similar method like LG DualScreen. Asus twindockview is different tho
I've just bought a H840, I forgot to check before I bought it if it was a H850! Shame that there's no alternatives to the 7.x stock ROM, makes me wonder why LG never rolled out Oreo for it. Anyways, the phone is in very good condition so I'm not too upset & will use it as my daily phone while I do some custom work on my older H850.
I have a question about the H840 and wondered if anyone can help:
The Always On Display on the H840 does not have the 'Advanced' option to switch the AOD off according to a schedule. Does anyone know if it's possible to port the H850 AOD app to the H840?
Thanks
Disclaimer: I'm not familiar with the H840. But I suppose you could try it and find out. If you have any way to extract the app from the H850 (or from some stock firmware floating around), of course matching android version. With that said the two models are different enough spec wise I wouldn't expect it to work.

I've installed APK extractor from the Play Store & will see how it goes. There are other AOD apps, but would be nice to use the LG version if possible.
