Hello,
I just wonder if anyone knows any small (like regular BT headsets) bluetooth headset that can play music?
I found some, but they cost around 100$, wonder if there is anything cheaper with that functionality...
Sony Ericsson HBH-DS220 Knock-off ?
How's about this for ~ $42 which includes shipping :

I'm interested in anyone who's tried one . before I leap...
Thanks, looks promising...However, I wish there were no wires at all, which is the purpose of bluetooth headset...
No wires ? --> Motorola S9
Try this one then $60-$80 :

Looking into buying a stereo bluetooth headset for my wing, but not sure what's really out there, or which ones are better. Any suggestions would be appreciated
I did a little bit of research on this topic and recommended HT820 for my brother in law. He bought them on ebay for under $30 brand new. Good reviews (bulkiness was one of the biggest concerns which is find with me) and fit the budget! I will let you know once he get's them. Good luck.
I was thinking of going with the 820, but didn't know if there is much difference between either of them, or if there was something better out in the market.
I got the Plantronics 855, and I love it. Works very well, and has great sound quality. A little pricey at $129 USD, but worth it.
I have the moto S9.. I love it. best price is from Amazon I think.
I even choose stereo a2dp over an iPhone.

Damn, and to think I got the motorola s9s when they first came out at around $99. But you know what ... I still have them, they're good, and it's something I'd definitely recommend getting, (especially for $44.99). So go get 'em for pete's sake and terminate this thread, LOL.
s9's have problems Ive tried 3 headsets and the Insignia ns-bthdp seam to be the best, they pair up soooo easy, they fit on the ear not in the ear, don't have to worry about sweat messing them up,they are super LOUD and clear, you can lay in a chair and listen to music ,and the kicker........you can hear calls and watch movies or videos you downloaded in stereo just my 2 cents.
I love my S9's.
I also have the Motorola S9 and i love the inear plugs. Better than all normal headphones. It is small, light and connects without any problems!
BTW - i only payed 34€
looking to buy a stereo bt headset/mic .
this site has some pretty good pricing, but too many choices....

scroll to middle of page.
just wondering which is going to give some bang for the buck. not looking to integrate into my car audio cz my hummer stereo doesnt offer bt anyway. just looking for a nice, comfortable headset for the gym and while at work with good battery life, great sound and mic. appearance not important, but i do prefer the wrap around the back style
all this is dependent, of course, on the a2dp rolling out. any1 have this update isolated? nyway, be nice to only lug around the g1 instead of g1 + lappy + ipod + all associated cabling and power cords. g1 has almost completely replaced lappy already and ive only had it a cpl of days!
also, i see conflicting info on g1 specs. some say bt v1.0 and other say v 2.0 and still other sites say that firmware upgrade is needed to support bt 2.0.
i dont care what i have to do, but my goal is not only to enjoy streaming music via orb and my home server but also streams from wolfgangs vault with a sound i can deal with. rite now its too sloppy and retarded that it plays thru speaker instead of my current bt headset. found this out the hard way while utubing at work. oops, my bad boss
Prices are not good. The one headset I can recommend wholeheartedly is the Motorola S9. They are fantastic for sports and/or working out.
Here's the thing. The S9's on the site are the old model and they're charging $70 not including shipping. The new ones are the S9-HD's. They have builtin SRS WOW technology and the sound quality is excellent. Best Buy has them for $99 in the store.
If you want the S9s cheap then Ebay is the way. If it was me, I'd be all over the S9-HDs.
just wondering, anytime the A2DP will be up?
i was just going to get a stereo BT headset until i read this forum about it not having A2DP..
*sigh

S9s are sweet, but only if you have a tiny head. They're not adjustable. And eBay is definitely the way to go...as long as you're cautious. There are lots of Chinese knock-off S9 headsets.
I'm also anxiously awaiting A2DP for the G1. Right now using the 3.5mm adapter which is not bad for being able to answer phone calls while listening to music during my commute.
These look more interesting:

being able to use my own headphones would be the biggest selling point.
my s9s have been hanging off my lcd monitor since I got my G1 =/ I want a2dp now! >.<
Anyways before I was using a Nokia 5300 Xpressmusic and then later a SE k800i the quality was great! a little bit better with the nokia but a good set of bluetooth headphones and lightweight
I know its on the roadmap but they are sure taking their time to implement it in the official build of the G1
thanks for the replies. looks like the s9-hd is the headset of choice. ill have to buy them in person tho, cz the comment about big heads [like mine _] concerns me.
well i just got my Sony Ericsson HBH-DS200
now just waiting for A2DP to be working.....
OMG I CAN'T WAIT
Hi,
Is there any accessibility app/option to convert stereo to mono on an Android phone. A friend would like an Android phopne but cannot find if this is possible.
Apparently the iPhone has the option in accesibility settings but he'd like to avoid iPhones if possible! Hardware/Headphones were not up to scratch when he tried them.
Thanks
Phil
I'd connect the L and R channels on the jack itself. Like solder them together... or if i had headphones like SHURE i'd use a cable...
---
I suggested an adapter, but he said he found them poor compared to the iPhone SW solution.
Adaptors are normally pretty useless
As a fellow member of society not blessed with stereo hearing I have been trying to find solutions for this over the years.
Most adaptors simply tie the L and R together but this never seems to work quite right in that the sound from the missing ear is there but only just (Bohemian Rhapsody is just not the same) Really it needs something to actively mixdown the audio in the way.
Also there is the fashion horror of having a unsightly leads and lumps from it all dangling about the place.
The best solution I found so far is stereo bluetooth headsets (proper A2DP ones) and use 'Joint Stereo' if you can, it's still not perfect but does help on tracks with heavy stereo parts.
If anyone still is looking for a solution.
Goto www.scansound.com and check out their 1-Bud range, this is what I said in my above post of needing an active mixing solution.
I bought one of the Pro versions with the offset bud and bass speaker design and it's awesome stuff, aside from being able to hear everything the sound is far better than similarly priced big brand stuff.
I live in the UK and shipping was cheap and very quick, a mate of mine who recently lost hearing in one ear bought the same as me and the cheaper design for his other half to use at work and said the quality was not bad on those either.
I'm especially interested in knowing whether or not the "vi" version's mic and remote are compatible with the Droid RAZR.
I bought a pair of S4As off the internet, but the sound quality didn't cut it for me, and they were dysfunctional on top of that. These I'm returning.
I also have an old pair of Shure SE215s, but its $60 (shipping included) for a new cable that includes the mic and remote.
I'm getting around 80 bucks back for the S4As, but I'm weighing spending $160 for a pair of new TripleFis.
So do the mic+remote of the TripleFi work, and if so/or not, should I get them?
Thanks
I’d like to buy an in-ear stereo bluetooth headphone for my Galaxy S3, I’d like to have:
1. good audio quality
2. good connectivity (I don't want sound lag or constant disconnects) from right fit to the Galaxy S3 into the leather case horizontal pouch type (to understand the Pdair model) on my right side of body
I’ve bought a Plantronics BackBeat Go, but is very very very poor headphone …
I don’t know if the new model JayBird Freedom 3, ha the god connectivity for my situation …
Thanks a lot
Ciao
I use the Jabra BT3030 for the bluetooth bit and plug my own sennheisers into it. No drop outs no lag and I get to use whatever type of headphones I want
And what about Jabra Sport ???
Ciao
I'm also wondering about something like this, the Jabra BT3030 seems expensive at nearly twice the price of similar Samsung or Sony devices - is it that much better?
I was considering either the Sony Ericsson MW-600
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0038M3H4S/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d0_g23_i2?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1CPTRTE0CNKZ0MGH4ZK8&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128533&pf_rd_i=468294
or the Samsung HS3000
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004XYI998/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d0_g23_i3?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1CPTRTE0CNKZ0MGH4ZK8&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128533&pf_rd_i=468294
Cannot make up my mind but both have good reviews.
Olywa
I have the MW-600. I think it's good, good enough for me to buy a second. Multi-point connection allows me to use it with the laptop and phone. Amazon seem to have them for £25, I have bought for £40 and felt that was good value.
Hs3000 definitely...
I have both mw600 and hs3000. Sound Quality is way better because Hs3000 supports apt-x. I used a shure 535 on it. Maybe an overkill but it is good.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Another vote for the Jabra BT3030.
Had the headset for nearly 2 years now, worked OK with my HTC desire but would cut out from time to time and had limited range.
With the S3 its perfect and has much more range.
Guess the BT radio in the S3 is stronger.
